Guenevere (WIP)

That was from a PM with the author and he didn’t confirm or deny it.

@Mim Lancelot would definitely beat Arthur in a fight, but not by much. As for leadership, Lancelot is at his best with small unit tactics – give him a cavalry of 40-60 riders and he can make miracles happen. Arthur is better at large-scale battles. If he and Lancelot were each commanding whole armies against each other, Arthur would definitely win.

As for Guen, part 5, part 5, part 5. It’s one thing to be trained for something almost since birth, and another to learn it so well as an adult that you outstrip everyone who had that headstart. I will do my best to give her lots of glory when the time comes.

Said author may also have mentioned, in said PM, that Guen is actually a vampire, and Arthur and Lancelot are secretly the same person under a magical personality-splitting curse, and Morgana is descended from giants. Said author may or may not have been delirious from sleep deprivation at the time.

My Guen would be able to do that now. She’s a genius; compared to her, both Arthur and Lancelot combined would be pummelled into the dirt in the game of strategy and military. On her good days, she could beat them both half-asleep.

Part 5 can’t come fast enough; I hope there’ll be lots and lots of glory for Guen. My Guen’s going to deserve every single ounce of it.

Said reply might have said that there should be a CoV tie in, an explanation that both men could have popped your cherry, and that Morgana will summon Ymir the father of Norse Frost Giants.

See? Why can’t I have this kind of fun with you? Haha.

The author may not have been delirious from sleep, and actually been giving away plot points! But I wasn’t there, so I’m guessing.

Also my college started yesterday. Programming, Government, Physics and a music class (because I have too). Fun fun fun. Maybe. Probably. I don’t get a lunch break. That is all from my life, I return to wherever it is I go when i’m not posting random life details and random input on whatever. Maybe I should stop doing this randomly nigh-rambling personal life updates. I doubt anyone cares.

As I was in the DM it was all a joke I promised him I wouldn’t tell him the secrets of the game if he spiled the beans.

I like rambles, but I don’t know about jeantown though.

Remember that the best thing about sleep deprivation is a cup of coffee.

I seem to recall a PM involving a carpet demon and other shenanigans? In any case, best of luck with the college stuff, and feel free to tell us about it in the PM (prob a better place for that than the Guen thread).

You never know…

Ah, goddess, I miss coffee so much… that, and chocolate… I confess I have sneaked an occasional beer ever since I got the diagnosis forbidding coffee and alcohol and chocolate, but I haven’t wanted to risk the coffee or chocolate. Apparently I’m willing to risk choking half to death for a beer, but not the other two. Still… I am a shadow of my former self.

Diagnosis? What were you diagnosed with

Airway reflux (with asthma and allergies). It’s terrible. :weary:

Oh my gosh is the no fun rule permanent

Yup. Forever. Unless I want to choke to death. It changed my whole life (and not for the better), let me tell you.

Did your asthma got better since you stopped eating that kind of food? I’ve had respiratory issues since I was a kid and your post made me wonder if I can get better just by eating healthier.

So is that grimwald guy a vampire? I bet he sparkles that useless manipulator.

@Lexa Yes, I stopped having major breathing issues after I gave up all the foods that are supposed to cause reflux – but that’s because my issues were caused by reflux in the first place. I read that if you have trouble breathing in (which I do), then it’s probably reflux, but if you have trouble breathing out, then it’s probably not reflux.

That said, I have heard that giving up sugar completely can help with any kind of asthma. I did that for awhile and it did make me feel good, but it’s hard to give up all sugar forever (considering that there’s sugar in almost everything). I backslid on that one, but thanks to all the other dietary restrictions, I am no longer waking up in the middle of the night gasping for air and thinking I’m going to die, or having to go to the emergency room for nebulizers (ugh).

Oh, the other important thing I did was to start eating dinner really early and not eat in the evening. That may have helped more than anything else.

(Sorry, everyone, for the off-topic; if anyone wants to ask questions about reflux-related respiratory issues, feel free to PM me as I can tell you a lot about it and recommend some cookbooks.)

Sure, Grimald is just covered in sparkles! :sparkles:

@jeantown You said that at roughtly part 5 we’d be able to match the other main charaters skill wise, but what if we only focus on 1, and have 1 secondary? Or 2 equal? Or 3, or 4?
If we choose all 4 can we ever be as good as Morgana/Vivian/Lance/Arthur?
It kinda reminds me of that Avatar guy, with the elements and stuff.

@fairlyfairfighter Hm, right now I don’t think you’ll have to have the high stat 100% maxed out, but it will need to be close. You could probably get away with having three or even four stats if you still put most of your points into just one, but not if they’re all nearly equal. But having balanced stats should give you other advantages, I hope. The game does reward specialization, but I’m trying to include some interesting stat combos and maybe make some things accessible only with a certain combination of stats. (At the moment it’s difficult to injure Meligaunt without using two different stats.)
