Guenevere (WIP)

I feel it prudent to mention that if you don’t hurry home to Arthur if that’s what you’re planning to do , he will quite possibly change for the worse.

And my Guen is quite similar, only with a profound sense of indifference permeating her being as long as she is allowed to do what she wants to do and be who she wants to be. Later in the story, who she is will change quite drastically in terms of emotion, which she will originally perceive as being an awful thing to happen, but will later recognise that she needs it.

The rest of the characters are needed for this emotional journey though, so I’m very glad for the plot armour.

I think that light magic, fighting and leadership are what I’d focus on, for teamwork-- light magic helps me and others, fighting will give a stat boost to Lance (training) and other people as I can save 'em from the evilllll!
Leadership for when Arthur trist me a bit mire, and to keep Morgana safe at the back and Lance and Arthur together.
And we need a scene with all the main character, including Maris and Bretta, fighting against something. It’d be awesome, although depending on our stats we’ll probably be quite insignificant since everyone is quite good at what they do.

I have an Achievement; The Red Queen(AkA Off With Their Heads!) - Guen takes the opportunity to execute everyone she can, and even ones she can’t.

All this talk about Mordred gives me an idea.

a few years after Mordred is born. Gwen is visiting her lover Morgana.

Mordred (as a five year old): Mummy?

Morgana (suspiciously wearing leather and fishnets): What is it sweetheart?

Mordred: I had a nightmare.

Morgana: oh poor baby. Come on ill tuck you in.

(morgana returns, pulls back the covers of her bed to reveal a bound and naked gwen.)

M: phew that was close.

G: I still can’t believe you had a kid with my husband, who’s also your brother, while I’m having an affair with you. Goddess were a messed up family.

M: You’re going the right way for a smacked bottom “sister”.

G: promise?

(morgana produces a gag from her nightstand)

M: Bite.

someone tell me if I’m going too far with this post

@jeantown Heh, I was re-reading some Celtic stories/legends…now it would be interesting in a later book if warrior Guen was able to undergo riastradh (battle frenzy/berserk). Yes, I have a Guen fan pic idea in mind in which she takes after Cu Chulainn

Soooo, how do I get the Morgana romance? I think I did what I could but I still only got her to 10 even with me spending all the time I could with her. I’ve gotten it before but now I just can’t get it for some odd reason.

Something like this?

Advisor: Milady, might I suggest-

Guen: Guards! Off with his head!

Cook: What would you like for dinner?

Guen: Guards! Off with his head!

Lancelot: Guenevere… Even if it means betraying Arthur, I can’t contain it any longer! I love you!

Guen: Guards! Off with his head!

Morgana: Such a dark aura… Guenevere, what have you done to yourself?

Guen: Guards! Off with her head!

Captain of the Guards: My Queen, don’t you think you’re taking this too far?

Guen: Guards! Off with his head!

Captain of the Guards: … you already had all the other guards executed.

Guen: (sighs) If you want something done right, you’ve got to do it yourself… (draws sword)

Arthur: (bursts into the throne room) I go away on a hunting trip for a few hours and we’re under attack? What soulless fiend could have- (is decapitated)

Mordred: Join me, Guenevere, and I will make your face the greatest in Camelot… or else you will- (is decapitated)

Meant more of her doing it when it was an option not just going batshit crazy… And especially not Morgana.

Guen: You don’t want me to go crazy? Off with your head!

Life has taken over my life lately, and I haven’t been able to work on Guenevere much… but as always, I’ll get back to it as soon as I’m able.

It would take a very particular kind of Guen for Mordred to actually fall for her – and even then, he’d try to suppress any genuine feelings of love, since those would not be conducive to his goals.

@Asura Arthur does indeed have plot armor until part 7, because the plot would be completely different if he died, and I have only one life to spend writing this. (same goes for Mordred) So no, Arthur can’t actually die at Michaelsmount, but Guen doesn’t know that. And other bad things can happen there.

I do have a big climactic Avengers-style battle planned for the end of part 3, though sadly, Maris and Bretta will not be there. It will just be Guen, the main three, and one or two other characters.

Haha, Guen with crazy eyes and hair standing on end, mowing down her enemies like grass… fun to think about.

Be really nice to her? Talk with her at the banquet and sit with her during the fireworks… There’s no one thing that does it, since she builds trust slowly.

This sounds like a fun potential easter egg…

Yeah, I did everything possible I think at least, I chose every single option to be with Morgana that I found but I still never get any sort of romance started with her. Is it because my Guen is manipulative maybe?

Ahh, yes, that’s it. Morgana has very strong, fae-powered intuition, and she can tell a mile away if Guen is manipulative. She can be friendly with manipulative Guen, but she won’t romance her.

Ejem, Jean thats not true I have a poison Queen version romancing her. And i swear you she is Manipulative as hell.

Sorry, to be more specific: When the game asks if Guen is being nice to Morgana just to manipulate her, you can say no. If you say yes, Morgana can tell and won’t be romanceable. If you say no, you can still romance her, even if Guen is manipulating everyone else.

Thanks for the answer, now I know what I did wrong then, lol.

@jeantown Is there a way to be in a romantic relationship with Lance, Arthur and Morgana, with them knowing?
Because Morgana says stuff about how if we want her, we can’t have Lance, and Lance seems reluctant on betraying Arthur…

Jean said that it is possible for Morgana to change her mind about Lance in part IV, if I recall. Arthur can accept the love triangle easier, I think.

@fairlyfairfighter
To start with, it won’t be terribly difficult to be in a romantic relationship with either Lancelot or Morgana and have Arthur know about it and be mostly okay with it (by the end of part 2, even).

In parts 2-3, Morgana will discontinue any romantic/sexual relationship with Guen if Guen gets involved with Lancelot, but Morgana’s feelings about that can change in part 4 after Lancelot undergoes some character development. At that point, Guen can be in a poly relationship with Lancelot and Morgana. I’m not sure how Arthur will react if Guen straight-up tells him that’s what’s going on. It may depend on his own character development and “hardness” level at that point? But it’s possible that, at that point, if Guen already has a romantic relationship with Arthur, she’d be able to continue it.

Also relevant: Guen should have the opportunity to enter a truly three-way poly relationship with Lance and Arthur in part 3, but I suspect that if she does that, Morgana will not be interested in joining later. So if Guen really wants to be with all three openly, she’ll have to focus on Morgana first, while also cultivating a relationship with Arthur, and then she miiiiiight get an opportunity to add Lance later – but I don’t think, in that case, that Arthur and Lance will develop the same kind of relationship with each other as they will if you go for the OT3 in part 3.
If you had to put Arthur and Lance’s skills against each other, how closely would they match in sword play and leadership? I’m guessing Lance has higher sword play, but does he also have higher leadership?

 And how would they stack against Guen? I know they severely outrank her, but I just think it a little sad that Guen is of a similar age, yet her skills aren’t as developed- I get she didn’t see real battle, and was probably cloistered as a child, but I wish Guen were more OP, haha. :confounded:

Is Merlin also secretly a werewolf alcoholic who was granted magical powers by a Hawaiian Kahuna who time traveled to hang out with bad asses and met Merlin at a pub contemplating suicide. The Kahuna wisely gave the suicidal alcoholic magical powers and voila.
