I see both sides - but without meta-gaming the knowledge to “get to know her” is not obvious to clueless people like me.
I love “from ashes we rise”!! I can’t wait to see more of it
humm… dose one need a reason to be a villain or evil, or even to be good? anything could cause someone to go from being a hero to villain although i suppose having a reason would be more fun or rather it would give someone a goal to work towards xD
To answer your question: If you aren’t completely detached from reality, yes.
I guess this would fall under “For the Evulz”, what doesn’t really mean that there is no reason for being evil, but that being evil is the prime goal in contrats to “being evil is funny”, “I want revenge”, “I want power”, etc, etc.
One could be a psychopath - not knowing the difference between good or evil, only doing what is right for yourself. …
@Sammysam @Shoelip @Zolataya Alright xD so lets say that after waking up and seeing the Crow with Troy the MC feels detached from this reality believing that they no longer belong in this one and they snap, becoming psychopathic and realizing that the only way to fix this problem is to destroy this reality and to do so you need to become a truly evil villain xD thoughts?
@Wraith thought it would be kinda fun to think why the MC would become a villain xD
Now you think as is right and proper for this thread.
Generic shonen manga villain archetype #7. They’d already have to be completely fucked up in the head in the first place for that to put them over the edge.
Aw, don’t be so judgemental. A stereotype is only as bad as it’s implementing, and how fucked up the MC was before is anyway left to the reader. And this doesn’t even take into consideration what possible side-effects the resurrection from the death potentialy had on MC’s adolescent brain.

You’re talking about Phoenix, right?
if it works for Phoenix then sure
hehe i figured it could work for the MC in general though i think if my Sparrow decided to be a villain this would probably be why xD
Troy would be a creeper if he knew MC more because of his actions combined with the fact that he knew MC and MC didn’t know him. It would mean that he had to stalk MC in order to know that MC was blackbird and that Troy became blackbird solely because of MC obsession and to steal MC’s identity.
Currently, I think Troy became Blackbird for reasons that don’t didn’t directly involve MC or stalking, so he’s not creepy.
But, he still stole MC’s place and made it so that Crow has no room for the MC, because their can’t be two blackbirds. So, for the path where I reveal myself to Crow, I wouldn’t live with him or let him know about my home, powers ( because I don’t want to be around Troy), or hero life and the game probably would be similar to as it is now without traveling myself, except with more Ace.
Nero isn’t creepy because he never stalked MC.
On a unrelated note, how are you planning on dealing with the Troy relationship with hero MC versus the Troy relationship with civilian MC since the cafe scene can’t improve hero relationship because he doesn’t know MC is a hero ( or dose he
?)? When Troy finds out that MC is a hero and the hero and civilian relationships differ, will Troy think that means MC doesn’t know his secret identity? Will MC have the chance to kidnap liberate Ace from Troy because Troy doesn’t appreciate dogs?

I don’t understand why some people are so fixated on being blackbird. I really don’t like that name. Troy is welcome to it as far as I’m concerned. The MC has real super powers now and is entitled to a real superhero name, not just a cute sidekick name. I don’t see why the MC can’t work together with them under a newer, more fitting name, one that he’s picked for himself.
Regarding that matter, they can. I just didn’t wrote that part yet ;).
Hushes back to work on FAWR.
I rather wish our anti-hero could choose both guns and katanas and perhaps an extremely warped sense of humour.
But MC created blackbird. MC spent, their childhood creating their costume out of old clothes and it was their dream. Did Troy put his blood, sweat, and years into creating blackbird? Did he have to deal with disapproval of his parents for wanting to be a hero? Was blackbird a symbol that united him to his adopted parent and showed that someone believed in his dream and trusted him more than just being a nieve kid?
No, Troy was nothing more than a theif…
Even more than that, he was a grave robber!
This (and MC’s insane jelousy) is why MC could never be friends with fake bird. MC only tolerates him and works with him because of MC’s love of Crow.
MC doesn’t want the name back because blackbird died long ago and MC can’t permantly work with them because MC is an adult and MC always knew that parting ways with Crow and becoming their own hero was inevitable. MC’s just sad that so much time and life was missed out in forever and the only person that MC feels they can blame is Troy.
So you’re in the Troy-hater camp. I know too little about him to make a decision in that regard. Is my MC a little jealous of him? Certainly! Nevertheless the MC “died”, and hasn’t been seen for four years. People move on. That’s the healthy thing to do. If a spouse dies there is nothing wrong with remarrying. If a child dies there is nothing wrong with having another child. And if the old spouse or child should somehow magically return from the dead, the new spouse or child isn’t necessarily a thief, although seeing yourself “replaced” would no doubt hurt.
I see this as more of a child replacement situation than a spousal replacement situation, ie. there is no culturally reinforced expectation that you’ll necessarily be the only one. I believe Crow has a big enough heart for both Troy and the MC, so if the MC doesn’t rush to judgment, something can no doubt be worked out. There is a part of my MC that tends to look at Troy as a rival, but that isn’t the same thing as hate, and that feeling is undeveloped enough at this point that it could easily turn into friendship instead. This of course assumes Troy is on the level, and if he isn’t, well the MC will be there to protect Crow and come down on him like a ton of bricks.
that would be so bad ass
