I’m gonna do it for at least one. Might name him Sylvain since it sounds like Sylveon and when I played Pokémon X, my boy Eevee ended up evolving into that (much to my own shock, since I was training him at night, expecting him to turn into a Umbreon and not realizing I unintentionally met the requirements for the Fairy form instead).
Forgot what the name change was, but I still remember the fun I had playing the demo and the various reactions from the choices (like the sash choices, the time as a baby, etc).
The MC’s relationship with their sibling is meant to be antagonistic, they replaced another villain who I thought worked better as someone the MC had personal investment in. In my notes, I first described them as “bootleg Zuko/Azula” so…hopefully that gives you more of an idea as to what their role is. there are a couple of personality types for the sibling you can pick from as well. Totally understand if it’s not everyone’s cup of tea!
To be fair to Camille, she’s obnoxious regardless of your talent.
But I should explain that this applies more for an MC that chooses not to favor magic. If magic is your main weapon, you’re not “inept” simply not as strong as you could be (I think you’d probably get more out of the elemental specifications story-wise if your MC was a mage??? but don’t quote me on that I think we’d all have to playthrough it more first). The MC’s magic is sloppy because it’s self-taught, but with the right teaching they get better quick. Having a specification is actually optional, if you don’t do it you get the special secret element in which I come to your house and ask you why you hate me.
I’ve planned it out so the personality doesn’t change anything, but I’m sure in some case someone’s roleplaying may get them less “points” in an element they wanted. It’s a strange balance between letting it be a natural and just slapping in a choice that screams “DO YOU WANT THIS TO BE YOUR ELEMENT???”
also speaking of the elements they’re (while the weapons are more for flavor the elements have more of a story impact, which is why I was saying you may get more out of this if your MC is a mage)

im so happy some of you guys are going to be pink foxes that warms my heart. there’s also the option to have your hair color be different from your fur color, which i don’t know if anyone will use but THERE IT IS
and of course nothing is set in stone, i’d love feedback on the changes when you guys finally get to play them!
While not knowing anything else and with Time not being an option I’d say either spirit or fire might suit my mc if going for that Kitsune feel. River, forest and of course thunder also seem nice.
As long as we don’t have to beg and grovel Camille to get the “right” training, fair enough.

Hmm…from what I remember from the old demo my mc didn’t much like thieving (which doesn’t mean they cannot have been forced into it just to survive and presumably even be good at it) or his uncle, but he was kinda in lust with Yoon.
I think the fur color part id be thinking “ohmygoshthisissocute” then it talks and my brain has a minute long reboot and I debate out loud wether I just had a stroke, am hallucination from a gas leak or something, if animals all along could really talk, or if this animal was some sort of ancient spirit here to tell me the fey are real and this is the wild hunt.

Assumption proven wrong. Okay just Googled them. Zuko appears to be some sort of annoying (exiled) prince kid and Azula is apparently his sister and thus a princess. Hope our sibling isn’t an actual prince in the rewrite, that would really make the poor mc the unfavourite.

Yoon cleans up really nice. Also from what snippets there are Yoon sounds super funny and adorable under that curiously high maintenance personality of his ( I mean a fashionable gentleman and a bad boy all seemingly in one package : ).
Speaking of which for a fey-fox demon boy running with a gang of gutter thieves Yoon seems to have some really upscale tastes that could probably put Addy to shame. So I’m wondering is our boy Yoon another down on his luck impoverished noble brat or something?
