Yay your back, can’t wait to have time to check out the new revisions.
Love the new demo.
And I actually don’t have a favorite party member. They’re all so different and unique, and I just love them all. (still gonna romance Adrian…if my MC ever gets comfortable with intimacy…and in general gain any social skills.
)
And the way that no one of them get along, and MC is “the friend everyone likes” in the group is kind of funny. My MC is alternating between loving these crazy people she has gotten as companions, and mentally facepalming at them, since they just can’t get along.
Btw does the MC has something that subconsciously makes people drawn to them? That would be really cool if that’s the case. I just though that the companions, literally strangers, become quite attached to and protective of the MC in a very short amount of time (even if you don’t take relationship score into account).
Btw does it have a crucial effect, which water duplicate we choose to interact with in our mind/other-realms?
And lastly, will we be ably to build alliances with all the other factions (maybe minus the Division)? My MC reluctantly joined the vampires but didn’t really want to join a faction and besides stopping the Division, would rather not fight anyone. The results of having been tank-grown and therefore haven’t gained any positive or negative feelings towards anyone specific besides the Division.
I like playing the reversion it fun to replay😆
Here’s a error
I did." Mila says, “After we met, I mentioned that, even after we removed a dubious device, I couldn’t smell the undertones of him race. He just smelled like blood, dust and wood.”
couldn’t smell the undertones of him race
Change him too his
noticed a few things on the division path
when speaking to walt after your rampage…
“After all, I’m willingly to let the chaos you caused in your awakening go. Yesterday and today.” He points toward the door indicating my unconscious rampage and he actually smiles a bit.
also noticed this when deciding whether to kill or spare the first attacker in chapter 3
He is an enemy and I threat him as such. Death is my enemies only fate.
also if you don’t mind telling me, what determines who dies near the end of chapter 3
One more thing who are the ROs in both paths? anything you changed from the first draft?
How do I romance Mila since I take her side in options and the highest relationship score I get with her during the cooking scene is 51% is the scene not written yet or does it have to do with being a certain race or stats?
Also can you romance Yaella? since she is the total opposite of Mila.
There are a few errors, should I point them out or I’ll just wait until your next update so it’ll be a load? @TwoSharp
- Looking about once around once more the feeling of being a prisoner washes over me and I start to plan.
I recommend a comma here to clarify whether the connect looks about again or is feeling like a prisoner again. Though that may be me being nitpicky.
Is the connect older or am I imagining things?
- And being such a good person, I should really return it to its’ proper owner.
The apostrophe confuses me.
Not once in all of the worlds’ has any race cooperated together and somehow she managed it.
The apostrophe confuses me, wouldn’t it be world’s?
- Almost. I almost have to be out of this!
This just sounds weird to me. “I usually hear I have to be almost out of this.”
Gender choice with Mila (I was tired and lazy for this one.)
- What?!.._Yes… clearly a…
I think you need a but in that line after i’m done saying how bad my clothes are.
I Love This!! Words can not being to describe how good and detailed this is. I feel like I’m reading a novel and that is great. Love what you have so far. Keep it going.
I am a horrible person lol
I never did a play through where I didn’t save Adrian until now and I have to say I really like the way it turned out.
Wait…what?! D: Where was that mentioned?
In the division path xD I must have did something bad cus a few characters I liked died.
I chose the division playthrough this time 'round. I was sad that, Vern, the handsome man w/ the well-defined physique had to die. I felt so connected to him, so close. The fates made it so that we even share the same name.
That axe and sword hurt, you know
Is he truly dead or there some vamp thing that’d bring him back?
Nooo, Sylvie got a spear in her stomach when the humans attacked. Is there really no way to save her? It’d be a real bummer if that’s the case
If you really can’t, I hope I can bring her back later as a vampire or something.
You can save her, and Vern… I just don’t remember my exact stats…I think I had pretty high instinct and strenght for saving them…but not 100 % sure…
But another question: is it possible to get away from the two soldiers in the beginning with main focus on intelligence or speed or will those options always lead to a certain death? Just asking, because I tried it I don’t know how often by now…
Welcome back!!!
@TwoSharp i really missed having youre thread around! Loved the update and as always Felton, Vern and Perry are my favs
I loved the update and how you have developed from the first demo! - (Take ma money
)
Changed my course. Took options that gave kicks and punches. Chose speed when made to decide whether or not to train with Felton. Took ‘weapons’ when the choice was between that or medical supplies.
whew finally saved Vern.
Only to have him go off on his own. AGAIN. But, still, thankfully alive.
Well, Mila shoots my character down when he suggests moving things to the next level, so I hope that door is still open for later in the game.
Realistically, wouldn't not choosing the faction you belong to biologically
diminish our chances at learning to use your racial abilities?
I mean I suppose the vampires and mages are close enough magic wise that
they might be able to give some help, but I don’t see the werewolves helping with human invention or the like.
I'm disappointed that we don't get to put in our two cents as to whether the
girl can keep a wild rat-lizard. I for one welcome a rat-lizard companion.
Kind of weird that we never get an option to ask Mila for help learning our
racial abilities if we’re a fellow werewolf.
Or at least that's not an option on any playthrough I've done, because I'm
not going to leave people to rot.
Found a typo- "You know that training is in the Connect's best interest.
Having him sipping tea will serve no one but yourself. The Connect needs to be ready for combat
, as per him purpose," should be his purpose.
I chose to develop my vampire form, and found a mistake and something you
might want to reconsider.
The "powerfully built and intimidating" vampire form that gives bonuses to
strength and intimidation is described as smaller than human, while the “slight, fast, and stealthy” vampire form is described as bigger than human despite being weak.
So I have to assume that those got mixed up and the powerful form is
supposed to be bigger than human and the fast form smaller.
Then when it got to the feet, it described the prehensile bat feet as
stronger but not as stealthy as other options.
Prehensile feet that would allow us to hang from the ceiling and climb like
a monkey lower stealth? Does not compute!
My suggestion would be to have those feet lower speed instead, feet that double as
hands aren’t the fastest feet in the animal kingdom.
Whew… It was a long day (and night) yesterday, I won’t go into any details, but let’s just say a puppy was involved… Anyway,
@Dark_Stalker Thanks for the recommendations, I’ve added them onto my list of things to do today. Also, the Connect is older (just by a few years). In the original the Connect was 22, in this one their 26. (I changed it after reading an article about brain development and maturity).
@Ventura The MC does have a certain… appeal about them, but I’m not going to spoil it.
The water duplicate effects very little (this first time around). The water duplicate mostly sets a variable off for use later on with the character that may have a large effect.
If you left the Division, yes you can build up relationships (or tear them down) with the other groups (except the Division). However, you’ll have to excel in military, political or commerce areas in order to affect things in regards to those areas.
@Terrell_Williams Thanks for catching that (I shall fix it as soon as I can).
@Pagliacci As to the typos, you have my thanks for spotting them. Your general skills determine if Yaella, Sylvie, and Vern die. Each of them is linked to 2 skills that must be 15 or higher if they are to survive. For all 3 characters to survive, you must have all 6 skills 15 or higher.
Ah, RO’s, well I’ve been working on that too, setting up backgrounds and what not. Now, somewhere in the 600 posts I stated that I was going for 26 RO’s, but I’ve had issues with 5 individuals. Right now there are 21 for sure RO’s and 5 that are maybes.
The list of RO’s that you can meet in the game (right now) include:
Division: Felton, Vern, Perry, Belen, Sylvie, Yaella, Adrian
Left: Mila, Adrian, Issac
Vampire Faction only: Beatriz
Werewolf Faction only: Ein
@Reaper_General Mila’s scene isn’t a full blown romance, it’s really just expressing interest, testing the waters for both of you (of course there is kissing)
To get the scene you only need a relationship stat of 30 or higher. To get to the choice you must first choose the choice that says: “I want to keep Mila as relaxed as possible, so, I try to keep to mundane topics.”
Then choose the choice that says: “If you wanted to be closer, more intimate, I’m open to that. The question is: how close would you like us to be?” Finally, DO NOT choose the: “Friendship is the next, logical, step.” choice.
And, yes, Yaella is a romance option.
@Jesse I’d very much appreciate it if you could point out any errors you find either here or through a PM, whichever you prefer.
@Mxm124 Thank you so much for the kind words!
@Bloodhawkereaper I’m glad you liked the alternative and you have a stronger will than I. (Every time I had to test the side where I had to leave him… well I had to replay afterward in order to rescue him).
@ab2wus Sorry, vampires in this game are as mortal as any of the other races. If he’s dead, he stays that way, but don’t worry, if he’s alive this isn’t the last you’ll see of him.
@readher Sorry, there aren’t any resurrection abilities in this game, but you can prevent her death, if you have the corresponding 2 skills 15 or higher.
@Sammysam For that one, your skill must be 15 or higher in order to survive.
@GloriaRose Ah, thank you for the kind words! The update was a long process, but I’m very pleased with it and I’m happy to see that others feel the same.
@stsword Mila is a complex creature and certain events in the next chapter may change things between you two, but she will be available later for romantic pursuit regardless if she shoots you down.
Each faction is aware of this, but that doesn’t mean they’re without their resources. Spoilers ahead! Remember a certain scene in the Division? where you walk in on a debate about whether to pursue resources or a traitor? Well, this person will show up as your trainer (alongside hired help) if you left the Division. After all, many people don’t live under the rule of the factions.
As to the rat-lizard creature, Victoria won’t allow Megan to keep it and Megan will obey her mother over you.
As to training with Mila, she actively avoids the subject. She’s aware your not a normal person and is hesitant to get involved (she isn’t the best at patience and teaching too), but if she’s with you just before you get to the village, before the Marked in chapter 3, you can get her to train you in Healing (Werewolves only), but you must leave Adrian to rot.
Ah, the True Form… yes, those were mixed up as to the powerfully built and stealthy one. Oops.
There is a one time stat increase/decrease associated with these choices and because you’re just starting out, you’re still trying to figure out how to walk without the clinking sound of clawed toes giving you away. Later on, this can be used for more stealthy means, but keep in mind that many missions take place in populated (and well lit) areas where someone’s bound to see a Vampire hanging upside down. Of course I’m open to changing things around.
Okay…but I have to ask and I don’t want to sound rude…how the hell is that possible with speed and intelligence? I mean I can imagine that I overlooked one oppertunity to increase int as I had 14 as I came to that scene, but I don’t think I got speed higher as 10. Is there some obscure path I not yet tried out that gives a speed boost? I don’t even ask because I’m stuck at that scene, as I normally can use stealth, but I noticed that choosing a succesful option increases the associated stat…what seems pretty useful…and weird should it not be possible to even achieve the prerequisites for this option with some of the stats…
Again, I don’t want to sound rude but it just bothers me if it’s supposed to be that way, meaning not possible to pass the check with int or speed anyway or not…
