I love the complexity of the estate management that you’re gonna have to explain relationships between the different animals and economics of the manor. So we can think about this more strategically. For example how do I produce that enough cabbage
Banners as in heraldry? I have a few I’m sitting on.
Maybe in that conversation with Sirid that Fiogan was asking for.
I noticed after couple years you have enough to pay off your father’s death but no way of doing it. Oh my God I got caught with my pants down because that a few bad years but my liege ooh she srew my day up good. When will we be able to ransom back are fathers sword? Also I noticed getting the knighthood you pretty much have to train but you’re not always able to do that.
Not sure why, but I never have enough cabbage or root vegetables when it’s feast time. I’ve both planted more root vegetables and let most of my pigs die, but it’s never enough.
I also appreciate the ability to build 3 houses at a time but even then I can’t keep up with these people. Is there any downside to just letting them be homeless?
Is there a way to pay off the debt to the merchant guild? I have the wheat to do so and I hate paying these leeches any more than I have to.
Finally, is it a deliberate choice that a female MC doesn’t have the option to train with weapons? I noticed that if I create a custom MC the options stay gray, but if I use “jump to management” and play with the male pregen MC then I can train and be a knight. Curious because there is an option to select a female squire so it doesn’t seem to be a “women can’t fight” kind of society.
Don’t get the option to train with weapons as a man either. Honestly I think the options not there because you don’t have your father sword back. I just double checked as a woman you can ask Mordain to continue my training at swordplay.I do find interesting is that women can fight in this game world they can rule but it still fairly patriarch on somewheres. Which I do find interesting from the ruler title. Take your name. Your name tells you who’s your father is where you’re from. Which personally like. Maybe your father’s name this matter because this is the person you are inheriting your title of thornet from. So I can take it when you have a child if you’re a woman they’re going to have your name in their name to trace lineage. Mind you this is all speculation am I wrong @jasonstevanhill?
Again I double checked also Woman can be knighted in this game Ser title seems to be gender neutral in this world

New version up. Big new scene during the fealty ceremony.
-
It still does not include a way to pay off your debt(s) or recover your family’s sword.
-
The thing that causes you to not be able to train with weapons under Mordain is having a Combat of 2. You start the game with 1 (because you’re a squire) and you can get one by fighting side-by-side with your father during the bandit attack. If so, Mordain has nothing more to teach you. What you need to become knighted is ($combat + $tactics) >= 3. I don’t yet have a way to train in tactics, so the only way to become a knight is to #direct the peasants and then later train with Mordain before you meet Osa Fenich. None of these things has anything to do with being a man or a woman.

The next thing I’m going to do is add a conversation with Sirid, to explain some things about how the manor works.
-
Then I’ll dig into the hay-numbers and the population numbers. But the population numbers are probably going to be controlled first by Calamities and then by Judgements before I start tinkering with the actual birth rate.
New update uh-oh!
Have no problems and done the playthrough. It is hardwork doing a threadbare lifestyle while trying to earn money to lay off that huge ass debt xD. Tried 4 times and average year to have the money around 8 years.
BTW whenever I see the cow, sheep and pig portion, shivers come down my spin due to mules xD.
That’s definitely in startup. Try using an incognito window.
What are the advantages of Knighthood and in the lead in mechanical advantages of having a Better Living standard.
Honestly if I can expect the same quality Metahuman Inc had (which I have no doubt of ) I’m already ready to preorder it
The same!! If I could just like by this game now as Early Access I would.
Convo with Sirid posted.
What else would you like to ask her? (Other than about herself. I’m already pondering that.)
The relationship and benefit of the different social classes on the manor. The purpose of extending the roads.
About the different social classes: you want something different from what’s on the stats screen?
I’ve updated the convo with Sirid some.
There functions on the estate. For example is good to have view landless? Also about dovecote The benefit pilgrimage. Drilling the Peasants, weapons training. How debts days work etc. the benfit of raising are standard of living.
Can we also compete in tournaments later in game? I guess how much infrastructure can we add to the manor? We gain major or minor offices in are liege court. Also would be nice to pay off our debt. And ransom are Father sword back. But considering I reach this level of wealth from thread bare life style.
Hoping to post another build tonight. I’vd fixed so many bugs. The houses issue is much less of one; turns out I wasn’t actually removing dead people! Now the problem is that it’s really easy to get into a population death-spiral.
Ok, new draft up.
Now, births are finally greater than infant deaths! (And there was much rejoicing?)
Calamities are now happening every season. But I intend to balance that out by not making all calamities bad. I’ll more be “random events!” it’s just that most of them will be bad.
The calamities are showing up in front of other events, and they don’t segue well.
For example, I got an event where there are rats in the grain, which immediately proceeds to the squire decision without any transition.
Other than that, I’m appreciating the options to plant cabbage, root vegetables, and winter squash. As God is my witness, I will supply my own damn veggies for the winter feast!
