I think you mean vampires? And there’s nothing wrong with being submissive.
Why do I remember them being werewolves
Truer words have never been said
There is a team of werewolves that shows up in book 2 (Unit Alpha), maybe that’s why?
But I remember them transforming in the 1st book?
Well either way
Strong ladies
Hold me down
Into it
Ah yes, Unit Alpha, the asian girl with ADD, the two… filipinos? with no concept of personal space, and the african lady who actually has class.
Ah, yes, I couldn’t quite remember where they were from*. Yeah, they’re kiwis. Thanks for the correction.
*actually, because I’m an EXTREME dumbass, I’m realising now that I didn’t even mean filipinos when I wrote filipinos, I meant samoan. Many apologies.
Myrr from A Player’s Heart and Eledwen from The Soul Stone War come to mind. I guess I like reserved, dutiful types … which I am, myself. Maybe it’s nice to see someone like me as the heroine of a love story, whether I’m playing a self-insert or not.
They’re not Filipinos though. They’re from NZ if I remember correctly and they’re too tall to be Filipinos anyway
Also, my favourite female ROs are:
Ava from Wayhaven Series
Mouse from Breach
Leah from Evertree Saga
Alessa from The Golden Rose
Dena from Werewolves Series
Toshie from Samurai Of Hyuga Series
Lada from I, The Forgotten One
Lady Argent from Fallen Hero Series
There’s a lot more but these are the only ones I could think of at the moment
Oooh, I forgot Leah … and sure enough, she’s reserved and dutiful too.
Oriana from sordwin
kind of my dream to romance oriana but I must have done some really weird playthroughs, since the only thing I got was to be congratulated by that orc for distancing me from her. not my proundest moment
I would like to add my list of favourite ROs
The Great Tournament
- Princess Hannah
Wayhaven Chronicles - Ava(again ofc why not)
- Nat
- Farah
- Morgan
Waywalker University - Kess
Life of a mercenary - Anne
- Vera
Fallen Hero - Julia Ortega
Breach - Mouse
- Raquel
Princess Rosario
Soul stone war - Daelynn
Keeper series - Astrid
I have a type and there are moments when I’m reading where I pause and just wonder out loud: Why am I like this? Why can’t I just be normal and pick the normal ones? What is it about the emotionally unavailable ones? I mean, the Amazons I kind of get, the fight to see who’s on top, but the emotionally unavailable ones? A friend and I had a discussion about this recently and our tentative conclusion is that it feels good to earn their trust and affection. Probably time for me to see a therapist.
Magium: Kate. Leila is cute and all, but she’s emotionally available, which apparently, puts her a tier lower for me.
Wayhaven: Morgan and Ava, both emotionally unavailable for different reasons. Morgan has the “super aggressive knows what she wants takes what she wants” thing going for her too, which is swoon. And then there’s the almighty gap. That sewer scene where MC tells Morgan to try and hear the kidnappers and she just frustratedly says “I can’t hear anything over the sound of your damn heartbeat.” I screamed.
Fallen Hero: Ortega is great, really. Strong independent woman who needs no man and is supportive as well… but Lady Argent. She fights, she bites, she probably scratches, and she flirts by putting her claws to your throat. And she’s emotionally unavailable, from what little of the alpha I’ve read.
Samurai of Hyuga: Junko. Starts off as the yandere stereotype but as you progress you can see hints that she’s had a rough life. Does this excuse her behavior? Of course not, but I’m a regular bleeding heart. Love and protect, and hopefully help her work it all out.
Keeper series: Seraphina. My god. Best. Girl. I converted that friend of mine that I mentioned earlier into a Sera simp and that’s what actually triggered our conversation about the emotionally unavailable ones. She’s also actually super freaking adorable. I mean, that whole list she rattles off to MC is just hngggggg my heart. Mental catalogue of things MC’s said, a rewards card to have an excuse to get MC their favorite drink, etc. Then there’s also that interrogation of Prof. Tremblay that just made me melt into a puddle on the ground. Extra bonus points because she does it even if you’re not on her route. My god is she adorable. Love and protect.
Where to read this? Tried looking for it everywhere but I couldn’t find it.
They’re published games. Werewolves: Haven Rising and Werewolves 2: Pack Mentality.
Thank you very much! I’ll look into it.
Since I don’t see anyone mention, I’m gonna share my fav too.
For me, only those two make me simping like an idiot, even my friend makes fun of me.

Oriana - Heart of The House
“A secret make a woman woman” I guess. Not only that but the first impression too (thanks for the author’s writing), the author described her like this: A woman. Smaller than you would have expected from the strength she just displayed—delicate, even. She’s so pale her skin is nearly translucent, and her hair falls around her face in golden ringlets. She seems to shimmer before you, and in your delirium you wonder if she could be an angel.
That moment I think I’m in love at first sight. -
Ilya - A Mage Reborn
At first, when I read the description I thought she was a typical White Magician Girl, well, she does, literally.
She almost destroyed the stereotype which made me quite surprised. Even though she’s the support type (healing and buffing stuff) but she has too much boldness than one should have. She can be stubborn sometime, like when she trying rescue the mage from the execution
If you watched enough the stereotype White Magician Girl you expected the healer to act like a saint with pure idealism, but this one you have a saintess with pure cynic instead. For a moment I think if she was too cruel (in the moonvein case, she advice to execute the baron), but then I think living at the edge of destitution and the idealism Leon made her like that, both for survival and her friend’s life.
May she be cynical (and cruel sometime) but she’s also emotional and passionate, hiding it under a stoic face trying to stay strong but not around the one she cares (I think is because she can’t rather than she want). You can find it when talking on the night before the battle, saying goodbye and when she trying rescue the mage and tell the mage to take her with them, there maybe more than that but those example are most clearly.
Unlike Oriana, I love Ilya when I know more of her. -
Oh, I forgot for a “honourable mention”, Amilia - The Exile. I wish I can analysis and tell more of her like Ilya but the WIP not long enough, but also enough for me to love her.
She’s cunning, friendly, cheerful, optimistic, mischievous, kind, brave (not te “brave” in warrior meaning) and funny too.
She’s not a fighter and may look like easy to bully but certainly not a type to be mess with, set aside her race for now. For example, she chased and caught a pirate like it was nothing
She seems like The Heart type in a team, but not very… gentle, you can read it below, when there is an argument in the team.
Oh, a bonus, her reaction when the commander pick the flirt option is cute.
Example
“Our last actual conversation resulted in some rather lovely insults–”
“You’re a blood mage.”
“I was a blood mage–”
“What’s the difference?”
“Oh my gods,” Amilia mutters. “There’s no end, is there?”
That makes the both of you go quiet, refusing to say a word and prove her right.
“This is ridiculous.” She puts her hands on the table, lips a thin line. “But I have a solution.”
“And what is that?” Vethna asks.
“We act like adults.”
Thalia aka Murder Siren from the Keeper Series.
-Adore how she has such a big heart despite her inclined nature.
Jillian-Gina from Zombie Exodus:Safe Haven.
-I have no shame in enjoying a girl who might be a little curvy and resident nymph, so to speak.
I really liked Rheyla from Shadow Society and Welles from Infiniverse, Rheyla’s scenes were really adorable, and Welles is such a nerd its making me swoon.
