I only join him depending on my current character and I always plan to betray him later on, my main one for example is a hero hunter and I don’t see any reason to join him or with my syndicate boss one joining him just seems like a silly thing to do for multiple reasons.
When I’m playing thief I do ally myself with him though.

I’m going to pretend that HG influenced my MC and now they are good ally, but I broke strings they were trying to put on MC.
We’ll see where it goes.

At least we get them to leave us alone if they know we are the villain. No more forced friendship with someone u have to deal with for ruining our plans.

I thought shroud is dead killed by Mc or cat nip. Also it wasn’t really a fight considering what they are.
Yeah, this show is getting tiresome. I want everyone found out the villain identity but not this way, not in the hospital.
So I won’t mind if the author forces players to reveal it in Revelations (good title, heh).

I’m looking forward (well, I the player. My Step’s first fight is going to be healing and rehabilitation) to fighting the SD. Hopefully my Step will have an army at his back.
There is also Ace to contend with…I am not sure if there is any reasoning with him.
@Christopher_Bull The Puppet or the SD? I agree about putting the Puppet back on the ventilator once Step got the suit, but I suppose it’s one of those things that is under “the Player Character must want to go on the adventure.”

Honestly I would of left them alone a long time ago once we got the suit and set up shop. So now we are basically paying the price for it.

Oh yes, like the forced reveal was good, but a big one after a fight? All the variables for the reactions depending on whether or not someone’s suspicious? Ah yes, delicious.

Sounds like he possesses some type of particle manipulation powers? Being able to make himself more dense would explain why he’s incredibly strong and possesses significant physical fortitude (enough to hurt Step if you choose to kick him while not in your suit). He’d be pretty dangerous if he could extend this ability to other people and objects which I suppose he already can to some extent because whenever he turns intangible there’s no mention of his clothing falling off lol so he probably manipulates the particles that make up his clothing as well? I’m just pulling stuff out of my ass right now but yeah if I’m right he’s potentially way more dangerous than we think he is.
The author has already stated that if you play your cards right, you can keep your secrets. So there will be no forcing the reveal.

I once saw on Tumblr that author was thinking about revealing in book 3 instead of hiding villain identity until the end of the series. But I suppose Tumblr isn’t very up-to-date source, and I don’t have access to patreon
