Everyone is out to get Steel. Poor Steel… I suppose I am in the minority, I just want to use nanites to get my MC rich like the vaults of banks , jewelry stores. XD
The true villainy was making everyone bald along the way…
A little snippet I found after digging in the new WIP for all crazy theorists out there:
Spoiler
Honestly, you’re a little nervous to let her get too close. The hair-sample that you gave to Dr. Mortum revealed disturbing things. One, that while the structure of her hair was not abnormal, the fibers in the cortex were more similar to nanomesh than keratin. And two, that the cuticles covering the strands had a surface pattern reminiscent of something you still can’t wrap your head around: Nanovores.
Wait howd u get this tell me
By looking at the WIP’s code. You simply add scenes to the URL. So:
[…]/fallen-hero-retribution/mygame/
becomes
[…]/fallen-hero-retribution/mygame/scenes
Then you can look at it.
If it has not been mentioned already meeting Ortegas mother, if she is still alive
I mean the mc was a welcome guest
oh shit thats awesome thank u
My wish/Evil plan:
I will identify a weak link in the Ranger structure. Namely, Herald.
Herald has a hero-worship for Sidestep, meaning he will naturally trust the MC and believe that his help would be invaluable. We set it up so that we coincidentally run into each other, in an event that makes it so we can’t run away, like being stuck on a subway or a bus.
During this, we talk, and drift the conversation toward this new villain who has Herald scared due to how different they are from every other villain he’s ever fought. This one is smart, calculated, careful, and has not monologued once (this will obviously differ from person to person).
While he’s talking, we let it slip that in Sidestep’s day we didn’t fight very many foes like this, but there were a couple. Then say forget about it, they’re out of the hero game, manipulating Herald into asking for help.
Reluctantly, we will tell him that he can’t be a hero, but…we could offer some advice.
MC: “Just bring me the case files and I’ll see what I can figure out about him.”
Herald: “I don’t know, Steel probably wouldn’t like it…”
MC: “There’s a lot of things Steel wouldn’t like. Though you have a point, we should be discreet about it. Bring me the case files you have on this guy, and if I get any ideas, I’ll tell them to you. Then you pitch it to the rest of the team as your own.”
This plan has multiple benefits:
- I get access to what the Rangers’ know about my villain.
- I have some control over the Rangers’ next move.
- I get more influence over Herald, and subtly get him to see the Rangers in a more negative light. So that in the event he has an “you’re the dark lord!” moment, I can go all Palpatine and convince him to become my apprentice.
Aw man…
why did you have to go star wars ! Now everytime I see a weakling…I think its Herald and ZAP!..muhahahahahahaha…
In addition, the sharks in argent’s mind feel small, hungry, and familiar.
Bit of a minor one, here, but when and if we’re allowed to unveil our alter ego to our love interest, I’m torn between two scenarios I’d love to happen.
The first is inviting them, in our villain persona, to our super secret temporary hideout. Lineup of mooks, the whole nine yards of hamminess. And instead of some huge monologue, you just take the mask off, and drama ensues.
The second, and the one I’m leaning towards, is essentially homage to a Daredevil episode where Foggy discovers Matt’s alter ego. We’ve either just got done with a fight, or exhausted ourselves, or nearly gotten beat to death, and we end up either in our apartment or some other secluded, out of the way place, and wake up. Said love interest beckons the streetdoc (Or Doctor Mortum, for maximum drama) away, and we’re at least given a chance to explain ourselves.
Either way, it’ll be interesting to see how it plays out.
You forgot the maximum angst of all where we are being attacked by lets say the Rgenes, pyschopathor, a hero or anybody else and the rangers catch whiff of our activity go to where we are try to stop us and boom, a minor mistake becomes us revealing our identities to the rangers and to almost everyone… Also im not saying this will happen it would be a cool choice to get if we set ourselves up right XD
Is it me thinking or lady argent really going to be a RO???
So it would seem. But she appears to be a RO for your villain character, not for the protagonist or the puppet. It adds a very interesting dynamic that would certainly have me replaying. Villains need love too, after all.
I was totally surprised by the outcome of the confrontation.
You can still do it with the protagonist though and the villain is still the protagonist.
I am starting to feel like the villain mc is the main character and sidestep mc is just a mask to hide behind…it does sound like Batman though.
If you want it to be. Everyone has different MCs mine only does villainous things reluctantly and for a better life.
Mine is perfectly willing to do villainous things, and does so gleefully. They also have aspirations for world domination, but I don’t suppose we would get that far in the series.
Am I the only one unwilling to touch the Wip, in fear of spoiling myself?
