Dragon Kin (WIP)

I absolutely fucking love this so much. I tried finding you on tumblr the home of almost every IF writer but i couldn’t find a blog page there. Thought i could read up on the ROs or something but alas. I still love  this so much. And i actually like MC being a sarcastic little shit. The personality made me laugh so much. Sadly the save options do not work at all so i need to restart completely to replay but i hope that gets fixed with the next update. This is really great tho.

I imagine my MC with 1,40m to 1,60m (I don’t know how to convert centimeters/meters to feet)

This is a good point, don’t think we got a description of our full form but in my head I imagine it’s a full dnd dragon, could be wrong though.

I stumbled across this on dashingdon before I came to the forum, so I think my feedback is a little delayed but I really liked this game!! I’m always a fan of non-human main characters, especially those with human forms. I also like the “growing” of a main character and the world you created is really cool as well. Can’t wait to play the update!

Becoming something like this would definitely be fun.

Reds really are the best looking dragons. Though I prefer whites for the frost affinity. If I could have a white dragon that looked like a red that would be awesome!!

Now I imagine my MC being a pet for the Gavin

They might as well become a Dragon Rider with a special bond with us.

This is how I kind of imagine how most Dragon Kins looks currently when their humanoid forms have most draconic features.

This dragon would probably be beautiful to encounter.

Summary

Now if some Dragon Kin decided to keep a somewhat humanoid form and decided to start using weapons. I could see them looking similar to these.

Now those are Dragon Kins in my book.

These are just images on Pinterest so I can’t say that they’re mine. They’re just what I would’ve wanted my Dragon Kin to look like if I wanted to stick with a humanoid form.

Not gonna lie, I want my kin to be a type of protector similar to Terendelev from the Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous video game and tabletop setting. Except she’ll be a golden dragon rather than Terendelev’s silver kind.

Granted it’ll be much more difficult for my kin than it was for Terendelev, seeing as dragons aren’t seen as inherently evil in the Pathfinder setting. It tends to depend on whether or not they’re metallic (Silver, Gold, Bronze, etc.) as they’re typically portrayed as good or neutral, or if they’re chromatic (Red, White, Black, etc.) as most of those tend to lean closer towards being evil. Hence Terendelev was accepted as the protector of Kenabres gaining the title ‘Teredelev, the Guardian of Kenabres’ as a result.

That’s the kinda kin I want my kin to be. Even if the humans at large definitely won’t accept her as such. At least not without their views being changed by her doing something very big to prove her sentience and goodness.

With how the dragons in DnD are portrayed, this is how I see them. (Some of my guesses are based on Pathfinder’s game info on them)

Metallic

Gold: Merciful Sage
Silver: Chivalrous Knight
Bronze: Adventurer of Justice
Brass: Diplomatic Chatterbox
Copper: Whimsical Troublemaker

Chromatic

Red: Greedy Tyrant
Black: Cruelty Incarnate
Blue: Orderly Schemers
Green: Deceitful Stalkers
White: Feral Avenger
