The reason why I ask is because I’m debating whether or not to include them in the fanfic I may or may not make… honestly I’m really considering making it at this point, but I want to get all my facts straight about the Donors Universe first…
I haven’t played either of them, though, and I’m sure there are waaaay more in anyone else wants to chime in. Usually, if I’m watching a vampire movie or TV show, and a “vampire high counsel” appears, I change the channel. So I’m definitely not the best person to ask
I’d say at this point you’re building on the Donor Universe, as I didn’t do a lot of explaining in the first place.
My extremely loose take is that a shadow organization is around, but it doesn’t really impact Rich/Paul’s everyday life (unless they get into serious trouble). For instance, I can’t even name my congressman – I don’t give “human” politics a second thought unless something important is on the news. And since “vampire politics” would be (by definition) even less public, I’d imagine it has even less of a presence in our central characters’ lives.
OMG I can’t even believe this is by the same artist - it’s soooo dark (but just as amazing). Going right next to Lenore when I get back from vacation! Thank you!!!
This was created by one of the artists at Samhain. And I’ll freely admit it looks more professional than the cover I slapped together, but I didn’t feel it reflected the vibe of my book.
I very much prefer your cover, both in terms of esthetics as well as symbolism. I mean, your cover gives a “going on a possibly deadly tea party”, sort of like a twisted version of a tea party of Alice in Wonderland.
@Elena_H Quick question, how old is Charles? Not sure if this question was asked already. I think you said Rich and Paul were in their thirties, but was Charles’ age ever mentioned?
He’s supposed to be 27. I’ll go back through the chapters and double check to make sure I mention his age somewhere - if not, I’ll add it to my next release (slated for this weekend). Thanks!
