Donor: A Vampire Victim's Tale [GAME RELEASED!]

Could you refer me to some?

The reason why I ask is because I’m debating whether or not to include them in the fanfic I may or may not make… honestly I’m really considering making it at this point, but I want to get all my facts straight about the Donors Universe first…

There’s this one: Choice of the Vampire: The Fall of Memphis. And there’s also the granddaddy of vampire RPGs called Vampire: The Masquerade, which I think deals with vampire clans/organizations.

I haven’t played either of them, though, and I’m sure there are waaaay more in anyone else wants to chime in. Usually, if I’m watching a vampire movie or TV show, and a “vampire high counsel” appears, I change the channel. So I’m definitely not the best person to ask :stuck_out_tongue:

I’d say at this point you’re building on the Donor Universe, as I didn’t do a lot of explaining in the first place.

My extremely loose take is that a shadow organization is around, but it doesn’t really impact Rich/Paul’s everyday life (unless they get into serious trouble). For instance, I can’t even name my congressman – I don’t give “human” politics a second thought unless something important is on the news. And since “vampire politics” would be (by definition) even less public, I’d imagine it has even less of a presence in our central characters’ lives.

Hope that helps

I love Paul, end of story.
I grudgingly respect Richard, end of story.
I want Charles dead, end of story.

Haha, you’re in good company. Poor Charles :sob: I really tried to flesh him out in the CoG too :stuck_out_tongue:

Another fanart, this time Richard, when he comes to Leonore’s room to “speak”.

I love your art, especially the ominous vibe it gives. :eyes:

And I just wanted to share this post with you all:

It’s been weeks since I last played Donor, so I don’t actually remember if Paul and Rich can see their reflection. If not, then imagine THIS.

This is incredibly cute. And thanks for the comment :D. Being Richard I wanted to make it creepy looking and “Iwanttorun” vibe haha.

They can see their reflection :frowning: But I love this anyway!

OMG I can’t even believe this is by the same artist - it’s soooo dark (but just as amazing). Going right next to Lenore when I get back from vacation! Thank you!!!

Hahaha, Im glad you like it, and even more glad that is going to be next to Leonore! Not sure if she will like that tho :joy:

Blockquote I know the cover art sucks, but IMHO nothing is worse than the cover I had before <Blockquote

Is this the same cover that is selling in the used book section on amazon for $500?

LOL YES! I have no idea who listed a used copy for $500, but I strongly suspect it’s one of my dumbass friends

Anyway, I hated the original pic - it looks too much like a romance novel IMHO.

Well now I kind of want to see it, can you post the original cover image on here?

Here you go…

This was created by one of the artists at Samhain. And I’ll freely admit it looks more professional than the cover I slapped together, but I didn’t feel it reflected the vibe of my book.

I very much prefer your cover, both in terms of esthetics as well as symbolism. I mean, your cover gives a “going on a possibly deadly tea party”, sort of like a twisted version of a tea party of Alice in Wonderland.

The other cover just screams vampire romance.

I wish there was a way to like this post more than once :stuck_out_tongue: THANK YOU!

@Elena_H Quick question, how old is Charles? Not sure if this question was asked already. I think you said Rich and Paul were in their thirties, but was Charles’ age ever mentioned?

He’s supposed to be 27. I’ll go back through the chapters and double check to make sure I mention his age somewhere - if not, I’ll add it to my next release (slated for this weekend). Thanks!

Damn, for some reason I thought he’d be in his late teens or early twenties, not his late twenties…

That’s the impression I got with his character…
