You said it, maybe Paul would let Lenore use his account, or Rich would let her watch in her room. It would be just like a sleepover. An eternal sleepover… At this point I’d think Lenore just wants friends (girl’s been cut off of people too long), and well, they’re the ones we got, so..
Yes!! I mean, at this point I’d think our girl has been starved enough of affection (such as it is, despite the subtle threats, Paul !) that it’d be so warm to just see her happy (-ish) with friends. As I’d read that they have no sexual feelings anyway, I always thought that even a romance would be on a platonic level anyway.I don’t know I could stand to see her hurting them though, I’m attached!
Hmmm, Richard and animals… Animals in his house, on HIS rug? Blasphemy! (I wanna see him cuddling a kitten)
I can see Paul having a cat -maybe- mostly because a dog would require him to go out a lot.
I have so many questions. (One of my cats does the same -the biting, not the killing-, because he’s spoiled and wants everything at his own time, yet still tries to cuddle the dog all the time. I feel left out.)

Are we forgetting that there is a slight possibility that the menstrual cycle might be a form of aphrodisiac to the vampires? It might be the one thing that can turn Rich and Paul on! I think that should be enough fodder for the romance/erotic side of this fanfiction!
Also, just because they are asexual towards humans doesn’t mean they’ll be asexual towards other vampires!
I agree that “realistically” Rich would be opposed to any pets. But, I think he might lean more towards cats than any other animal…

Not exactly the same thing, but writing is writing, and you have a pleasant, conversational style that I very much enjoy. I really do think with some practice you’d be fantastic at it 
But no pressure.
Regarding the lawyer:
This would be phenomenal.
My take on the lawyer is that he’s a vampire himself, and far more enmeshed in “vampire politics” than Richard and Paul. So when it comes to greasing wheels, he has a vast network of other vampires and subservient humans at his disposal.
Regarding vampire physiology:
In the Donor universe, vampirism is caused by a virus that (like all viruses) alters the DNA of its hosts. Side effects include eternal life, altered sleep cycle, super strength, impotence, severe silver allergy, etc.
Yeah, I know how ridiculous this sounds, but vampires are the only monsters I find “believable.” That isn’t to say I don’t enjoy other creatures of the night, I just would feel kinda silly writing about them.
Regarding pet preference:
I gave this some serious thought and have reached the following conclusion: Paul would prefer cats because - like cats - he likes to play with his food. And Richard would prefer dogs because - like dogs - you always know where you stand with him.
So, yeah, I can’t actually imagine Rich allowing an animal in his house (even though I still think he’d relate better to dogs). Paul, on the other hand…
Regarding fanfic:
I absolutely love these characters, so I can’t even put into words how excited I’d be to see them appear in new content (romantic or otherwise).
You are so creative, you should just put this together!!! I would totally read it and give you feedback

I, I’m genuinely surprised! I would have thought Paul we prefer dogs because of the excited/happy/playful personality he shows (although his playful side is quite dark). And I would have thought that Rich would prefer cats because of him being a yandere… Also, let’s not forget that Rich also likes to “play” with his food… in the basement.
If I am ever to create a fanfic of Donors I would need more information on Rich, Paul and (unfortunately) Charles. Questions like, would Rich ever let Lenore get a cat (if her relationship with him were high)? Or, would it be possible for a human to scare the shit out of Charles, just by using words? Would Rich/Paul be able to hear music if Lenore had some high quality noise cancelling head phones? Since Paul is able to taste the Xanax in Lenore’s blood, would he be able to taste whether she had naturally sweet blood? On that same subject (assuming the answer is yes), would Rich and Paul like sweet tasting blood?
Edit: These questions do not mean that I will make the fanfic…

I almost went in this direction because I agree that Paul’s a lot more puppy-like than Rich. What changed my mind is that, as you said, his playful side is quite dark (I never say this in the books, but dinner theater was originally his idea). You’re right that Rich also plays with his food… just not in the catlike way that Paul does IMHO.
Soooo your other questions…
I have a clear opinion on whether the taste of human blood varies from person to person (assuming it hasn’t been altered with a foreign substance such as Xanax), which is that it doesn’t; just as beef tastes largely the same regardless of the cow.
And I think you might be onto something with the noise canceling headphones.
But your guess is as good as mine when it comes to Rich letting Lenore get a cat (I can’t imagine it, personally, but isn’t that the point of fanfic? 
), or whether it would be possible to frighten Charles.
No pressure whatsoever.

… A fetish for periods. Okay, wow. Now this is certainly interesting, maybe not in a good way, but it’s still interesting. Imagine someone actually getting freaky over period blood, that’s something you don’t see everyday. Well, unless if you’re locked up in an apartment with vampires.

A’right, a’right…I’m not kinkshaming the vamps. Wow this conversation has taken a turn, this is not something I ever expected to discuss.
Regarding the animals, all jokes aside, current Richard just feels too emotionally unstable to want a pet in any capacity, so maybe that is what’s keeping from saying “yup, Rich, you get a puppy!”. His human version I can easily see it .
But yeah, as to their personality relating to a dog or a cat, Paul does seem more volatile than Rich (as in, he can be really nice one moment and snickering over a person being killed the next. Rich seems more straightforward)
Well it would make sense then that there’s nothing else (even if you did add more creatures, since it’s the virus angle, options would be limited).
@Elena_H all I have to say to that is DAMN IT CHARLES (I may or may not still be hung up on him trying to get me killed)
There was a movie Bloodsucking Bastards where vampirism was used to have people working more, so it’s a hit or miss, but we could try.

Elena, the author, is publishing the chapters as she writes them, at the same time, we give her feedback. So, basically this is already an open beta.

Like @Meira_Litch says, I’m posting each chapter as it’s created, which might technically be considered “alpha” testing. WIP first draft should be complete within the next few months if you want to wait until then (although I’d love your feedback whenever you feel like taking on the story!).

I’ve kept “vampire politics” intentionally vague as there are other games/stories that already focus on the inner workings of clandestine vampire organizations (and this isn’t a fictional element that I find particularly interesting).
The idea, however, is that there’s a larger conspiracy that makes it possible for vampires to exist and operate within mortal society. Police look the other way when someone disappears, coroner’s reports are fudged, lawsuits are dropped, etc. And Rich/Paul’s attorney is a cog in this machine.
That’s as much of an explanation as I ever give, however, as it isn’t central to the MC’s story, and I don’t imagine Richard and Paul care who’s pulling the strings – that’s what their lawyer’s for
