Yep, that’s basically the game in a nutshell. It’s almost entirely Kingdom building from what I’ve seen, a minimal plot that drives the building aspects forward, and that’s about it.

Exactly! I’ve put in a full story and some interesting characters, but yes, they aren’t the focus.
Started this game in 2018. Lots of starts and stops with games written/published inbetween. It reminds me kind of like an idle, or incremental, but definitely a resource management game. It’s unique. I guess we’ll see who else likes these types of things.
Here we go! Time for a big push to the end.

Still going strong. I played up to the end part of the story and arena, fixing many errors as I went. Not quite done testing either, but getting closer.
Working on diplomacy and rewrote the currency amounts. Fixed a tricky inn problem too. Time consuming tasks, but necessary.

So is the college like a bards college or a one for regular people vs the academy for wizards. The bloomery also sounds interesting. Would exotic good be like magic items made by the wizard or like spices or something?

The Collage lets you get engineers, needed for catapults and advanced buildings.
The story works through to completion. Yay!
I need to write the diplomacy options and check wiping out the other nations next.

Yes, it will be VERY different from any others out there. I haven’t seen anything like it before. Hopefully others like this type of game too.
Very hard to say. Every time I guess, I get it drastically wrong.
My hope is that I can start Beta Testing by the end of July. Once that starts, the timeline gets a life of its own. It will test for a few months, go into production for a few more months, and possibly release in spring of 2024?
Again, just a guess, and I’ve been notoriously wrong with my estimates these last years.

Yes, hopefully also this month. When it’s ready, Patreons will go first, then I’ll do my Waves method. It will eventually become a fully open beta (first time I’ve done this) but it will start closed.

Is Alliance through marriages possible?
This was very tempting. I had a bunch of ideas around this and wanted it to happen. Now that it’s almost done, I don’t think I’m going this route any more. I want the gameplay to be fair and not be forced due to story constraints.
What is the scope for technological exploration and innovation
It happens naturally as you pursue higher level units. Advancing from stone to bronze and bronze to iron are the most notable.
If you have played lords of infinity beta in which there is a fief management system in which you can build factories and canals also upgrade farming system would it be similar to that ? Or more primitive era we are talking ?
I haven’t played Lords of Infinity at all. I suspect that it will be different for that very reason. My era goes from loose affiliation of tribes to a full kingdom with taxation and nobles. From spears, to bronze weaponry, to iron weaponry and catapults.
Will there be impact of running out resources cause too much cutting of trees or pollution of water or infertile farmlands because of excessive farming? Or metal ores deposits getting exhausted ?
Nope. In fact, the game ends on an infinite mode.
Will the opinion/morale of your subjects/citizens matter ?
I’m still debating this, but leaning heavily towards no. You rule absolutely, opinions of the peons don’t matter.
How much role does religion have in this game do people still believe in pope etc or king is supreme ?
Yes, religion is entirely tied to the crown. This doesn’t stop the player from following good or evil gods, although these things don’t have a big impact on the regular gameplay, they do allow other options.
Does nobles play a role ?
They all give strong perks in their respective fields. They don’t have any role in the story itself and don’t have characters or units.
Does king has his own spy network/secret service
I have some ideas, but probably nothing in full detail. Any spy stuff happening would be as short events/choices.
Can we choose people or advisors in our court?
Not exactly. Court is more like a collection of heroes, although they are each strong and upgradable units. Archmage Allusar and Bishop Otavic play key roles in the story and are always at court, acting as trusted advisors. You can expand heroes by conquering the other nations (or allying through peace), each bringing in another hero/advisor to the court.
Is there corruption in this game reducing our revenue/ does people take bribes?
Not exactly, although these things still occur in events.
What is the scope for diplomacy ?
Ceasefire, peace treaties, gifts, tribute, and unification, so far. This is what I’m currently working on.
Can we choose on what type of economy our nation runs tourism, production, war based capturing land, agricultural, or imperialistic colonial?
No, although it does progress from a barter system into taxation and currency. It’s part of the progression and not customizable.
Are there bandits ?
Yes. Some in the story, some in the random events, some in your own party. They don’t have their own nation/faction.
Last but not least can we fly ?
You can specialize as a wizard, so I’d say yes.

I’ve been really bad at guessing a finish date, but I’m still hopeful to start beta testing in July.
I’ve almost finished diplomacy (war, peace, ceasefires, unification, invading, raiding, annexation, gifting, and talking.). A few cosmetic additions and it should be done.
I’ll finish the testing of the end stage of the arena next. It’s finished, but I need diplomacy to get there. If all goes well, it could go quick. That would be a fully playable game from beginning to end
Then I’ll need a few days expanding and fine-tuning the random events.
Finally, I’ll need a few clean playthrus to the end.
And then beta testing. So, maybe end of July?

Well, that took a lot longer than expected, but it does make a few spots run and look a lot better.
I updated/balanced the settlements and army sizes for all of the other nations. I then returned to my test game and defeated all of the nations, gaining their heros. With that, I continued the arena. A lot of anticipated bugs, fixed them, and got right to the edge of the endless portion of the game.
So, a few bugs and balance issues to fix, then the arena should be done and the war/diplomacy route will be complete. Still needs balancing, but that’s for beta.
The final part of diplomacy/peace to finish is the peace events.
