Okay, I am glad you liked it @Marius! Thanks for playing.
I am very curious about some of the choices people made in this one…this had a lot more choices of what to do with your free time than the first one did + had the combat aspect which will be prevalent throughout the game.
I have now patched the update; I changed it so that if you have the sniper rifle but choose to go around, the transition will make sense, and I seem to have also fixed that third choice indentation problem I was having. So, hopefully it will no longer crash
I’m glad you are enjoying it so far. Hopefully I do not insult your country too horribly in the mission to London
In the game, the Republik of Britannia and the Federation of Nations are the two leading superpowers in the world. The Republik [commonly referred to as Britannia] is composed of mostly western European countries, such as Great Britain, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, so on and so forth. The Federation is composed of Canada, what we think of as present day USA, and (believe it or not) China and Japan. [China is thinking about splitting from the Federation and forming their own Eastern power…]
Ah, you are certainly right about that. That was an oversight on my part, I was just kinda grouping everything together.
Originally in the script, there were three for each type…then it became two…
And here I am today sick as hell of starting over at the beginning every time I go to code and anxious to move on to the central story.
I’m thinking that what I am going to work on now is the main story, as in your characters time with the factions and the main plot. I will come back later to do more work on origin stories and may even bring back the three each. I don’t know if I could do much more than that, to be honest.
quality not quantity is the key. I’d rather have one interesting origin than have ten lacklustre ones. I was just curious don’t feel the need to go against your plans. After all it’s your game
You are right about that…I guess we will just have to see. I am definitely moving on to the main plot of the game though for now. I think if I tried to start again with a new origin right now, it wouldn’t turn out great. I’m going to give it some time and come at that angle fresh.
How did the Korkoro soldier origin feel? I tried to make this one a lot more along the lines of the kind of things you might experience throughout the game; conversations/dialogue, combat, choice, emotional response, etc. I wanted to make this one more of the ‘experience’ that I want playing the game to feel like…and I wonder, did that come across well?
