'Sup, NaNoWriMo folks?
Iām away from the internet for a few days (mostly), so Iām not keeping as strict a count of daily number of words, and so on. Iām still plugging away though. Making decent progress. Iāll be back online properly in a couple of days.
Keep on trucking, folks and folkettes!
As I think I mentioned, Iām working on a novel for NaNoWriMo instead of a game, and itās going fantastic! Not only have I been getting up early to chat with some other writers and hold writing sprints, but I really love the story. Iām at 28k so far, and Iām having so much fun with this one! 
@SamLienhard Same here, with this being my first time doing NaNoWriMo and all. Iām āonlyā at 26k though.
Whatās yours about (because Iām really not very much curious and all), or is that something Iām not supposed to ask?

@Cecilia_Rosewood Mine is a fantasy novel in which a woman is condemned as a witch. However, because she meets the criteria for the prophesied Nightbringer, whose death will bring destruction upon the world, the Inquisition canāt execute her. The Nightbringer must be killed on a fabled altar far to the north, on a journey no one has ever survived. Her only hope is to convince the Inquisitor in charge of her innocence before they get thereāif they can even make it alive at all.

@SamLienhard Mine is a fantasy novel as well, just and entirely different kind of fantasy. Itās in a prehistoric setting. Itās basically a story about a tribe of cloud chasers, told from the point of view of one of the youngest initial tribe members. They are called cloud chasers because they follow a cloud around, which is their only source of fresh water. Oh, and it also just happens to be a sentient being. When the story starts the MC is only eight years old, and the first part of the book is about her daily life and growing up. Then their tribe cloud gets killed by an extremely hostile tribe, and in a last desperate attempt to find a new source of fresh water they decide to follow them. And thatās about as far as Iāve got this far.

Word count for those days: 4823 (about 1200 words a day)
Total word count: 11598
Percentage of total: 23.1%
Not a great few days, but I was away visiting friends. Itās tricky to say, āOkay everybody, Iām going to go write for three hours now, okay?ā
I have a feeling today will be a good day. Started early, started well.

Todayās word count: 4894
Total word count: 16492
Percentage of total: 32.9%
That word count for today is a bit misleading, in fact. There was quite a bit of near-repetition in there. Iām coming to the end of the vignette, so thereās a spectrum of consequencesā¦ Itās not just, say, āGood +20ā or āEvil +20ā. You also have possibilities for āGood +16ā, āGood +12, Good +4ā etc. etc., and the text for each outcome is a little different.
So yeah. Not exactly ācopy and pasteā. More like ācopy, paste, change a few sentencesā¦ copy, paste, change a few sentencesā¦ copy, paste, change a few sentencesā¦ā
Iām still going to count all that as part of my overall word count, though. Itād be more work than itās worth not to.
Was hoping to finish Chapter 10 today. Maybe tomorrow. Then again, Thursdays are sucky. Hereās hoping I manage to get even a few hundred words doneā¦

547 words. I think thatās all Iāll get done today. Itās 6:44am, and I have day job stuff to do now.

I just crossed 41k this morning. NaNoWriMo has never gone this well for me before!

Yay, I finished Chapter 10. And spent a bunch of time bug-fixing, too. Slightly disheartening that weāre nearly up to the midway point of the NaNoWriMo, and Iām not quite touching 40% of my target. Thatās what I get for starting a couple of days late, I guess.
I canāt imagine Iām going to do any more actual writing today. Iāll do a little planning, and one or two other things I need to get on with. And then itās on to a new vignette tomorrow.
@Aeraā¦ yeah, still having fun. More fun at the end of every day than at the start. But fun, nonetheless.
