Joined NaNoWriMo. My first time. Hope to have some fun.
Ditto, re Lordirishās comment. I have a 3/4-finished game already, and Iām planning to get the last 50,000 or so words done.
That said, I think I may have to start NaNoWriMo a couple of days late. Today will likely be spent tidying up existing codeā¦
Iām not entering officially but I do intend to aim for 50,000 words for the additional content in this month.
It isnāt my first time doing NaNoWriMo, but honestly itās been so long since I participated last that I donāt even remember the e-mail I used. And itās not like I finished anything previously. So I signed up for a new account today.
It appears I was inspired this morning for whatever reason. I just put down a thing Iāve been working out in my head for who knows how long now. Hopefully I have the juices to finish up my WiP while doing this. Maybe itāll prove a nice change of pace.
To clarify, on my part I am simply doing a story. It might act as backstory to a CS thingy at some point though.

I think this my sixth year doing the NaNo thing, but I am going to my first write-in this afternoon. I am very excited.
It looks like fun, so I decided to give it a go as well. Iām going for a story though.
And where do you find that progress bar thingy (and how do you put it in a message)?

So, a slow start to NaNoWriMo. That said, Iāve done a ton of editing (of exisiting text) today, and Iām still not finished. Iāve probably cut out far more words than Iāve written. Does that count against my total? Nah.
May have to do some time-consuming playtesting before Iām done with my edits. But I can see myself starting my 50K words in earnest tomorrow, or Monday.

I have written 1700 words so far. I also seem to have a cold. 
I donāt feel good. Looks like it will be a choicescript project after all and something new. Since itās being written in a feverish haze I donāt expect it to make the slightest bit of sense.
Itās built to have a lot of self-contained vignettes. It should be possible to do a vignette a day.
The write-in was fun but a bit ackward for me lol. Out of 39 writers that showed up I was the only male. I think I hit my mark for word count but will have to check when I get home tonight.
Not a bad start 2494 for th day.

Think this going to be a hard challenge this year. Having to go back and fixed what I did yesterday so I could push forward. Have only added 400 so far for the day. Will see what I can manage by tonight.

The above figure isnāt strictly true, in fact. I did a ton of stuff today, including a few hundred lines of code. But it wasnāt new stuff, exactly; so Iām not counting it as part of my total.

Iām still doing my outline, but hopefully I can do some actual writing tomorrow.
I thought I was writing Fairy Tale Fails I seem to have become distracted by one of the vignettes which is a retelling of Twelve Dancing Princesses. It may take a while to finish. Even if I can get one vignette properly written then polished up Iāll be happy.
Iām suffering a major problem though. The story would be far more interesting told from the point of view of one of the Princesses as opposed to an outsider coming in to rescue them. Which doesnāt fit in with my overall plan at all. Still! I can do experimental.

I wasnāt going to join this year, but then changed my mind. My total word count from the start to current is already 8500. Hope I can finish this before I get bored writing anything.

Ngh. Not bad, but much less than Iād hoped to do today. Still, I spent half the afternoon talking about a super-exciting job I may have coming up, so thatās a worthwhile distraction. Plus I got to watch an episode of Doctor Who while I had lunch. Thatās a worthwhile distraction too. Doubt Iāll get any more done now. Have to go be a parent, and whatnot.

Today I only wrote 500, but I did a lot of editing of my grammar from a really old scene. So i still happy.
