Summary
First you need to romance one of those 3: DG, Crook or Mob (I tested and Mob worked). Since siding with the teachers will lower your rep with some students, you need to romance one of them to get their vote.
Dont go after the police in the first day, if you do, you will lose rep with McCormick.
Don’t choose to wink at everyone when introducing yourself, as you will lose rep with McCormick.
When doing the Flag exercise, charge at Origami.
Yell a warning to Stoic.
Play “I’ve Never” with Tress to get her secret.
Raise your hand when McCormick ask a question and choose the longest answer.
Have a lunch with Mob and ask friendly (os flirtly if you want to romance him) about his power, to get his secret.
Block Mob’ attack and punch him with the brass knucle.
Agree with Hedonist.
At Nil’s class look at Stoic. Choose all the options before stopping to get more rep with Nil.
Agree with Tress if you want to romance Mob, with Crook if you want to romance DG and if you want to romance Crook you can agree with anyone (but you get more scenes if you agree with him).
Invite Combat Wombat to your group.
Study HELL and Basic Defense.

Talking about guides, I never saw any for my chosen class. I’ve only tried Sharpshooter and Detective, and they were tricky, especially the former. (God. It’s like the worst possible build I’ve ever tried to make work).
The best result for me would be...
It is possible to be made a leader, receive all upgrades and get McCormic’s, Nil’s and Hedonist’s “pet” achievements (forget about Downfall, just forget about her), but… there are nuances (like willingness to “play” with Hedonist and sacrifice relationship points with classmates here and there). And making friends is HARD (especially without a RO).
And the vote? I got CW, Stoic (barely made it), Crook (only because I’ve spent the whole game flirting), and… that’s it. Even though I tend to have the highest relationship with DG, she still votes for Tress every single time. (So much for wasting time and effort on her).

It is possible for the detective to get all the rewards and be the leader, but they have to sleep with Hedonist for this to happen.
The Sharpshooter can’t have everything.
Sleeping with Hedonist is never an issue. 
I can’t even begin to imagine what has to be done in order to get Downfall’s reward, though. My influence with her is non-existent, always. And it’s a norm, in my eyes.
I’m generally more concerned about establishing decent relationship with classmates and building up stats.

The problem with getting Downfall’s reward is that, more than any other teacher, doing so tanks your relationship with students.
The biggest ones I can remember off hand are that you need to say you’re willing to hurt the other students when asked, use Uni’s deal to get a free hit in and not put your hand up when Hedonist asks if you are more interested in protecting him than fighting DF.

You don’t need to romance anybody to become the leader. For Crook just flirting with him once guarantees his vote, you don’t need to actually romance him.
Stoic’s and Wombat’s relationships are easy to increase too, especially if you take no sides in the argument and get to interact with them (but you can still get high relationship without that, just from studying for the defense class)
Funnily enough, I always managed to get the characters to like me, no matter the game. One of these days I want a challenge.
(It’s all because of Dragon sage 2 I say. Friendship with EVRYONE. Rivalry who? Neva’ heard of her!)

I got everyone to like me (or at least be neutral) except Downfall cause raising her relationship requires doing some questionable things and getting on the bad side of Origami and others. Hedonist is kinda hard to raise too cause doing things he likes makes Mob dislike you so they are kinda conflicted
Yes, as well as Tress. However, Mob is a nice guy who doesn’t act on his (supposed?) dislike for you even if his relationship is below or at 10 (maximum I’ve managed with him in Hedonist-centric runs), and Tress… well, I can’t comfort her after that photograph reveal, because there are not enough points for her not to suspect me at that point, since I knew her secret).
All in all, we are on decent terms, but not BFFs.
I think the only ones who can really hate you are Wombat (if you shoot him), DG (for not bailing her out of jail), Tress (for acting like a pervert lol) and maybe Stunner? Origami will dislike you if you shot her and didn’t apologize but you do reconcile a bit in the end
Wow all of stuff being discussed seems like it happened sooooo long ago. Mentally, I have already moved on to Part 3, and I feel like I’m in a time warp.
