Now I think that I’m going to be disappointed if it turns out that Crook was a normal guy all along without a real dark secret (except the being married and having kids thing).
Crook doesn’t necessarily have a wife.
His quote from Part 1 is: Crook rubs his thick brown hair and speaks slowly. “You think it’s tough bein’ here? Try doing this married with a kid back at home. It changes everything.”
Oh, my apologies.
I haven’t read that scene since a long time ago, but I kind of reminded him saying the word “wife”.
But now that I think of it, it might be another forum member saying something about “he has wife and children”.
If its a husband it would really blow out of the water the idea that he wasn’t on board with a kid–since adoption processes are so complicated and long. (Unless he has a trans husband, of course.)
It could still be a loveless, regrettable marriage, but it’s more assumed that it would be happy at some point.
Unless he married a guy who was already a (bisexual?) father…
Well it’s not canon that he wasn’t on board with the kid. But personally, I like to think of him as such, its my little Epileptic Tree.
2 possibilities then:
-he’s divorced since his wife left when she discovered he was a villain. That would actually leave the romance open.
-more complicated he’s not technically married because he’s officially dead. That would be a proof to the second theory but as I said I don’t really like it.
There’s also the husband thing but it’s not denying my main theory either. On the other hand it would deny the second.
You’re suggesting I (errr, my MC) tried to kiss my dad!?!?!
That could explain why he doesn’t let you do. The second time (he was caught by surprise the first).
#UMMMM… what have I walked in on!!!#
Of F*uck it, my mind is too far gone down the anti-innocence and unpleasant imagery tunnel long ago and is making everything I read/watch dirty; I will figure it out on my own…eventually…

@MizArtist33 Oh sh*t you killed me
@moonwalkerdragon Look at these posts: 3024+3059 and 3029. Those are theories I made. The one we’re talking about (post 3029) is less possible rest assured. The other one might make more sense and might make you reconsider romancing Crook.
not wanting to romance him anymore, I want to kill him now but…lets keep this from a civil war between my MC and him shall we? because I see him and Stunner doing it first
Tony Stark and Steve Rogers nodding in agreement from the marvel world
Look at Savior and Prestige Welp. It’s kinda late for that.
Y’know, one concept I haven’t heard applied to Crook yet is polyamory. I haven’t played his romance so I don’t know the details–maybe something refutes it–but maybe his home life is perfectly fine and he and his spouse have an open relationship, so they’d be fine with him having another partner at Speck.
I don’t think so.
When he reveals his secret he says something like that was the reason why he didn’t want to go too far with you. Also his romance never goes further the flirting, he’ll try to resist the MC advances if you try to do things like unzip his pants… yes, that’s a thing.
Interesting. I got a British-African vibe from them … so I pictured them from London - maybe because I recently saw a British tv series that a brother sister combo like them.
And the Romance Erotica label is still over a year away folks.
But didn’t Mega Cat founded Prestige? Say he was 18-20 y/o then, and the 'Smarts said something about D12 terrorizing the world for 20 years, and i believe D12 came about the same time as Prestige. That makes MegaCat 38-40, isn’t that too old to be a brother of 16-18 y/o?
Nope. Considering Stoic must be 18-19 there’s 20 years between them. I’ve got a friend in that situation and it’s perfectly possible (one child leaves home so you have another one for example).
