There already is a cheat mode so tweaking stats is just pointless at this point

No, the game doesnât have option for this, it would mean there needs a lot more content to write, and all for basically pointless stroking of playerâs ego.
Getting to 4th spot already is an amazing feat for MC, itâs okay that players who have couple years of experience and physical development over them are still better. Also, nothing wrong with taking more time to reach the top than just few weeks and 1-2 chapters. In your typical sport story it takes MC years and working to get there is the entire point.

I like the story anyway and i am fine if the answer is no.
Has anyone managed to get the Invincible First Week achievement? You get it if you got first in the strength test and the run, got a Devilâs Dozen and beat Emerson, but I donât think you can get it from how the code is since it asks for weights_position = 1, but the least it can be is 2, 1 from weight lifting and 1 from jumping.

Thatâs correct, there seems to be a few similar bugs in the game script regarding this:
*if ((run_position = 1) and (weights_position = 1)) and ((misses_drill = 0) and (won_emerson))
this is the one you mention, and then thereâs couple earlier in 1-2_secondtraining.txt:
*if (run_position < 4) or (weights_position = 1)
"Ha! I'm sure Rayyan wasn't very happy about you beating ${team_him}. Tobin seems chill though. And Deepal too."
// ...
*if (run_position < 3) or (weights_position < 1)
"Ha! I'm sure Rayyan wasn't very happy about you beating ${team_him}," Sam says. "Tobin seems chill though. And Deepal too."
Itâs not possible for weight_position to be either 0 or 1 at this point, but the or masks it.

anybody got any tips on the singles match for an all-rounder finesse 36/serve 30/tactics 29 build? I see no hope looking at the checks and donât really wanna rebuild to keep my win streak⌠

If you have 2 stats over 33, you should be able to win all of them. Of course, you have to choose the correct option based on your skills and so

It was technically supposed to be a week after the sneak peek for supporters (which has slipped to Jun 17th) so thatâd make it scheduled for 24th. But iâd guess the author is busy with things⢠and itâll happen when she finds opportunity for it. All good Sams and Gs come to those who wait. :v

This scene might make my MC feel like a deer in the spotlights alright, but thatâs probably a typo. :v
On a more general note, the rest of it can come across a bit unintentionally confusing/funny because some parts of it refer to MC seeing things, e.g.: and if you don't pull back, you can read the intention in Sam's eyes and thatâs not exactly possible if the player has picked the option to Squeeze my eyes shut, wondering what the hell we're about to do. Maybe some other cues can be used in this branch, like perception of Samâs body heat or their breath being close enough to feel it against the skin?
(the subsequent option My eyes flutter shut etc could probably take into account these eyes may already be closed, too)

This branch has a minor bug: because the jump to go_to_room happens only if sam_commit is active, for MC and Sam who just had their first kiss at the bar but didnât make commitment out of it the game will instead fall through to next bit of the script, which just happens to be sam_talks_about_first_kiss The *goto should be probably moved one level to the left, to prevent that.

Btw, if youâve enjoyed the game, I strongly recommend you to watch the anime âBaby Stepsâ.
In my opinion, itâs the best tennis anime out there.
Although the manga was cancelled (big mistake) and the show, consisting of 2 seasons, doesnât cover all of it, I assure you that youâll enjoy it.

Yes! This is a terrific anime! Baby Steps and the older Ace Wo Nerae (Aim for the Ace) are realistic depictions of tennis. The latter features a female player.
The more well-known anime, Prince of Tennis, has what I call super saiyan type tennis. Anyone familiar with Dragonball Z can guess what I mean! Fun in its own right, but itâs not realistic at all.

Now now, i really wouldnât call anime with players who are obsessed with âpainting pictures with their racketâ realistic. Itâs slightly less silly than how some of the sport anime gets, but it still has the usual âsuper movesâ, one-trick-pony opponents etc tropes.
That said, yes, it is fun.
