@jasonstevanhill Another thing that could be fleshed out in Memphis is the motivations of a character in standing for the Senate in the second round. If one has declared for Stone or against, could there be an option to be asked why one is standing and to be able to say, at least to one’s self that one wants to split the Stone or anti stone faction? In other words when Simmons compliments one for disrupting the revolutionary side, we could then chose to agree with him rather than be ignorant of his meaning.
@jasonstevanhill Edit I: Further to the previous communique I was thinking of we got this in the conversation with Coffin could we have a path to obtaining her letter of gratitude that we can get at the start of St Louis if we then proceed to pull Lescynski out of contention for the seat? Even if we didn’t express outrage over a Christkiller getting the seat. After all, we still did her a service even if it’s not worthy of a debt.
Another thing would be Bailey’s 5 charm. I don’t know of course where you’re going with the Bailey plot but combined with learning about the Partridge Cult, do you have plan to be able to blackmail either one, and if so could we have the option to demand Bailey teaches us the 5 charm skill in return for our silence? And if we could blackmail Partridge it could be applicable here as Bailey is his concubine in a sense.
Finally how much do you think the status of other Vampires is impacted by the character? For instance, Estefania can play the piano for the governor and for Draper and get painted if the player pushes things in that direction, how much would she see her status rise as a result? Other vampires too albeit more indirectly. I imagine Jesse would be rather weakened by Samantha if she outwitted him.
Interesting thought but things like willpower could come into it as a defence mechanism, along with how well these powers work on other vampires. And, it if was done in public as one can with asking about Partridge part in the Memphis issue, he’s left on a back front. The assembly of vampires makes such efforts impossible. Also the intelligent character would likely have other safeguards, that would make simply wiping one’s mind, not necessarily effective. It’s really hard to project it out considering Jason has yet to finish that part of the story, but likely there would be ways where it wouldn’t be so simple.
I’m having trouble leading Memeskia to his demise at the paws of West. I can only ever get him to join the battle if I send for Carlos, which if I don’t I have no ancients there to help save me. If I am saved by Carlos, Memeskia spoils everything with his stupid ritual. Help!
@jasonstevanhill Could another option for recruiting helpers against West be from one’s feeding preferences? So if one feeds from soldiers for instance, one could recruit some of them to help, having formed presumably relationships with them in order to more safely feed off them.
@jasonstevanhill And this appeared when all the usual requisites but when the character had warned the Loyalists to stay away from the city. Coffin really shouldn’t be there:
This makes sense, out of the population of Ireland 1 third leaves, 1 third dies, 1 third stays. The population of Ireland has only recently returned to pre-famine levels.
@apple@Jackpot1776 I think you two might have misread it in your enthusiasm to prove me wrong. It should be ‘vary’ not ‘very’. Besides, if estimates vary wildly on something they can hardly be approximate can they? And the 1/3 figure is more accurate than an estimation implies.
Given the multiple opportunities to read important works and novels in St.Louis as well as learn about different communities, such as Chinese-Americans, would it be possible to earn one point in Intelligence if you choose to pursue some of those venues?
