Well, if Carothers loses too much of his Humanitas and thus becomes ever more susceptible to the wiles of the Beast, he will actually commit the Amaranth upon his own childe. In the cases where Carothers does slay Dido, I suppose that it is at least some cold comfort, however scant, that she was spared the Amaranth.
Iâm not familiar with Vampire: the Masquerade, which diablerie seems to be inspired from, so Iâm not too clear on how it all works.
I understand that draining another vampireâa heartblood has their soul âaddedâ to you. So my question is whether killing West would have freed the souls of his victims?
Zéphyrine was able to help develop a TB vaccine by being a lab assistant with 3 intelligence and 2 technology.
AhâŠdoes she have high rationalism as well?
Hm, it is known that committing the Amaranth upon the true ancients bears⊠disastrous consequences, notably the Antediluvians and the Methuselahs, the 4th and 5th generation childer and grandchilder of the Antediluvians themselves. Saulot survived Tremereâs attempted diablerie, eventually taking control of Tremereâs body and expelling Tremere from it. Montgomery Coven diablerized Mithras, yet Mithras slowly but surely gained control of the body.
In that sense, I suppose that sending West to the Final Death does, in a way, free his victimsâ essence, even if it has been⊠digested.
Diablerizing West does not seem to cause such a phenomenon, but it would not be surprising if West did ultimately gain control of the body of the one who diablerized him, a rightful fate for those who are stupid and rapacious enough to commit the Amaranth upon the Ancients.
Mechanically, her superstition-rationalism balance hovers between high fifties and low sixties. Story-wise, she is religiously Catholic, but heavily influenced by the enlightenment ideals of her youth, as well as the eraâs scientific innovations.
I would like to have the option to be a Spanish vampire in the Padre route. I feel like it would make a lot of sense plot-wise.
- âshould I prepare with a song and danceâ is said to be sarcastic, and it was not my intention, since I was playing with a very submissive, artistic vampire as MC. There should be the option to say it sincerely.
I would love for the whole backstory of having attracted the lust of the MCâs maker to be carried on throughout the plot. It felt like it was suddenly forgotten. Besides, in cases such as a priest who fears God, it feels almost out of place to have him be mean towards the protagonist in the wine scene. There should be more variation regarding their way of teaching things, or at least more of an explanation.
Jesseâs romance is a bit underdeveloped. I would love it if my MC could exchange letters with him, instead of simply speaking about politics with senators and questors. Besides, it seems to me there is not enough foundation for the romance to matter in the eyes of the reader. It lacks substance. I actually find Elliot much more interesting as a possible RO.
There should be an option to feed from animal blood with a high compassion stat, as an alternative to willpower. It doesnât feel useful or interesting to have my character be stubborn since this skill is quite underused.
I wish there was an option to actually turn Silas Hope, so he resents MC forever and they part ways in bad terms. That would make for an interesting plot. Besides, I also think the reason for the dissent between Jesse and their maker should vary a little, depending on the set-up choices.
There were also a few misspelled words:
This wonât be news at all to anyone here, but I very much agree with this sentiment.
So when the famous vampire painter visits New Orleans, the spanish and french dominus seem to have been caught flirting with her by Draper. Am I correct on this? If so, depending if the MC is romantically âconnectedâ to their dominus, can there be extra dialogue where they confront their dominus about it? I love drama, Jason.
Iâm just gonna say it. I already want Herbert Walker to be RO in the next game! I feel like heâs going to be a great character.
Is it possible for you to release the âscriptâ for Choice of Vampire? I donât know the correct name for it. I will like to use it as a guide for my playthrough.
Itâs a bit hard to navigate but once you know what goes where its fine
The games opening is at new_orleans.txt
Gosh, I will love this! Oh please Jason.
Oh and one more idea. Feeding scene with Memeskia
Wait⊠You can drain other vampires? Whom? How? What powers does the Mc get?
This game really has so much real eatatebin choices.
Amazing job, Grouch-in-Chief!
Usually, if you can kill a vampire, you can eat them. Off the top of my head the list includes Cecil Lynch, Andrew Calkins, Dido Applethorp, and West. I donât believe it does much right now, but it does tick up your atrocities iirc
What outcome do you get with that scene? The one that helps Dido is the one where they part before Apollo reveals himself. âThis is as much peace as a vampire can know.â
Other than that, to save Dido, you have to do atrocities on Apolloâs behalf.
Ah, ZĂ©zĂ© has always encouraged Apollo to reveal himself as Hesterâs half-brother.
Predictably, sheâs never committed atrocities on his behalf either.
I wonder if in later games, PC and Herbert could start forming their own faction of vampires.
Also, whenever I saved Dido, I usually hosted both parties for Apollo and reunited him with his daughter. My vamp was probably privy to the atrocity of gathering the ârefreshmentsâ (as something that someone else did), but he didnât do it himself. I wonder if that counts as committing an atrocity.
Youâre right that theyâre up to something, but theyâre not flirting.
Though, I could see how making it look like that could be useful/fun.
Chaime is Padre Carlosâs given name. Chaime Carlos Borcha.
The atrocities would be the gathering of the ârefreshmentsâ. The PC can offer to do so and thus spare Carothers the degeneration of his Humanitas. Of course, it will come at the cost of the PCâs own Humanitas.
Both the PC and Carothers refusing to perform this task is not an option, as a city swarming with hungry Elders on the verge of frenzy would lead to an even worse outcome.
I suppose that it comes down to a question of priorities. Even on opposite ends of the political spectrum in regards to Stoneâs rebellion, my priest would normally try to help Carothers maintain his Humanitas. However, if the cost for doing so is committing atrocities himself, especially by abusing the trust that people would have for him because he is a priest, well, it is a line that my priest is not willing to cross.
so iâve started to replay the game after several years and tried to see the code as i went by cause i didnât remember much. i donât know if this is how itâs supposed to be but for example, in the first choice, if you rush to rescue the game raises your compassion stat but in the code appears like *set compassion %-20. is it supposed to be the inverse? sorry if iâm wrong iâm just not used to looking at the codes
