Choice of the Vampire 2 -- Alpha testing

Si, si. And when I was endorsing candidates It had me endorse two different candidates, which seems kind of detrimental. People were shocked at me when I endorsed a second candidate, different from the first but I couldn’t help it

I’m another one who’s having trouble accessing the beta. I’ve tried three different computers (a PC and two Macs), tried to refresh the game when I’ve reached the end of part 1, and I’ve tried to load it on Safari, Chrome and Firefox. So I’m stumped.^^; Just thought I’d let you know.

Same as above; no matter which browser I use it’s impossible to access part 2. Might definitely be my problem but I wouldn’t know how to solve it.

@jasonstevanhill wonderful! getting back to the action~

@jasonstevanhill when you and Stennis go to investigate where he says he has seen Wilson after speaking with the senate candidates he gets sick when seeing the house and it says -Stennis gags and rushes outside the vomit.- I believe it should say ‘rushes outside to vomit’

I would LOVE to test it out

@Jasonstevanhill
When does alpha testing end?

it ends when it ends
better question is when can the rest of us loosers play

*teasen *

I’ll be posting errors/bugs/typos as I find them so forgive me if it seems like spam.
"One day, your audacity will be the stuff of legend.

In the meantime, if mostly feels lonely. "
minor error, I assume you meant it “mostly feels lonely lonely”

It occurs to you that this Lockridge fellow rarely shows what he is thinking, but for just this once, he is unable to conceal his amazement. “The reception before the election? For the new Senator of Memphis?”

“Oh, is that happening tomorrow?”

“It is. I suspect that you will as well?”

“Perhaps.” Again, Lockridge seems perplexed by your indifference to the affairs of the Society. He takes a moment to inform you of the location of the reception for tomorrow, should you change your mind.

“It is. I suspect that you will as well?” is somewhat awkward even in context, not necessarily wrong, but it doesn’t make sense (or I could just be tired, its rather late)

Malloy sighs every* so slightly, preparing to launch into a speech she has no doubt delivered several times already this evening. “I was given the gift of the night by my dominus just before the War of 1812. I spent the next few decades in New York, where I earned a reputation for wrangling the undead runts that found their way to the city. Later, I relocated to Baltimore, where I had the pleasure of making the acquaintance of Mr. Stone, as he was then known.”
I assume every was supposed to be ever

Partridge and Bailey say pretty much the same thing when you ask them what they think of Malloy and who they are going to vote for

Hi how the testing 4 the game going really can’t wait to download it on to my I-phone and play it

@AngryIcecream Not sure what you mean about Partridge and Bailey. They are always publicly in agreement…

Also, new version uploaded, incorporating more questions at the receptions, removal of some TODOs, and other bugfixes.

I would like to know why it works for some people but not others. I refresh, and I have done everything suggested for me to do - yet I cannot even access the next part.

Yeah, even though I refresh I still can’t access it

Hello. Unfortunately, I couldn’t play onto part 2 as I seem to have the same problem as Farside and other people.

There was one glaringly big thing that I saw from part 1.

You wake a few days later to a letter from Quaestor Withers. She misses your company, it would seem.

You open the note and scan its lines briefly. Perhaps “missing you” was the wrong term. Instead, it seems that your former valet, Wilson Maddox, has abandoned his dominus; as best as she can tell, he is headed for Memphis.

Your response is evasive. If only she were to make it worth you while… In time, she replies, offering you a debt of gratitude should you find and return her errant offspring to her, or otherwise resove the situation. After all, it is a serious stain on her honor to have a young vampire loose on the world.

Before going to Memphis, I gave Wilson land of his own.
Also small grammar mistakes such as ‘worth you while’ and ‘resove’

@aurumcelest What was the “glaring error”?

Sorry, maybe glaring error was too strong of a wording and it could possibly be me misreading it all, but I’ll explain what I meant.

Wilson is a human servant to the PC when she/he enters into Vicksburg.
When asked about him I chose (paraphrased) “I value his loyalty and reward him as such,” which was the last option I believe. This I assume to mean reward him with money or kindness, not turn him into a vampire.
At the end of the battle in Vicksburg, I rewarded him with land of his own.
At Memphis the letter was sent (as I copied above) which seemed to imply that Wilson is a vampire under Withers, which is where my confusion is and where I think the error is.

My apologies if I completely misinterpreted everything though.

Yeah Withers turns Wilson into a vampire no mater what choice you pick.

No kidding. I don’t remember reading that part but, once again, my apologies.

I also cannot get to the second part. It takes me to the e-mail screen at the end of part one, without asking for a name to save my game. I also tried refreshing and it doesn’t work.

Well, actually, you can kill Wilson, and then Withers doesn’t turn him into a vampire. But if you don’t turn him, and you don’t kill him, then yes, Withers turns him.

And, @aurumcelest, that is much more helpful.
