Anyways, I put in a lot more time than I ever expected I would, and managed to get all but six Achievements. If anyone else did get them, I’d love to hear how you did. I do have a rough idea on how they occur, though I could be wrong. I do know some of the other achievements also depended on just which of the four starting ‘dreams’ you had as well.
Terrible
This is said to occur in the earliest place possible. Would this be when Silas sends you the bomb? If you got it, how did it happen?
Nuerosurgeon
Okay, this one does have me stumped. I imagine you have to focus on making medical equipment (such as with Galens’ and what your business could focus on the side. However, after that I don’t know.
Officiant
Okay, you have to obviously make companion robots. Do you do it for someone else, maybe by having a high relationship with Josh?
Bodyguard
I could be wrong, but I think this one occurs when the robots are revolting, and you can go to the White House.
Somethingian
Alright, obviously the robots have to start a cult/religion. However, does it arise when your robot makes the decision on her own. I don’t know if you also have to choose the robot cloud at the start…mine usually ends with an option for the Singularity.
Lunatic
I believe you have to get the Spacefarer achievement while playing Civilization IV with your robot. Then you have to build the companion bots, and the one who loves expresses a desire to go to space. However, if you have to do something beyond it, I haven’t gotten it.
Quite an enjoyable little game, and so many achievements! It really ups my desire to replay it again and again. You guys have really hit it out of the park with the past few releases.
@Lys
I dunno how to spoiler so I have to keep this relatively barebones, but your thinking for Bodyguard is right. I dunno if you need to pick the Statue of Liberty at the start or not.
how do you stop the Chinese from stealing your technology?
and also there is a bug where you don’t get the philanthropist achievement even if you use millions to help people or do you have to sell your company to charity to achieve it*?
and how do you start a large charity organization?
@Archer Send an email to the support choiceofgames email address and report that bug. Remember to include the platform you’re playing the game on. I didn’t even know bugs could stop you from restarting your game. Is there a way to reload?
@Sylfean
To use the spoiler tags, use brackets and the word spoiler in them to start it like so. Be sure to remove the spaces from it To end it, use the brackets again, but a slash & spoiler like so: [ spoiler ] [ /spoiler ]
I did manage to get the achievement. I don’t know if it is required to have the Statue of Liberty, but on this playthrough it did. The statue wanted you to lead your robots in taking over Alaska, and if you refuse she says, Well, just remember to be loyal to the president. I also had the coin from the victory over China in my pocket when I tried to escort her out. I don’t know if all was necessary, but that is how I got it.
I don’t think there is a way to stop the Chinese from stealing your technology.
As for starting a large charity organization, the way I did it is when my company is very successful, and doing upgrades/trips, you should have an option to donate to charity. If your wealth is high enough, you can give it everything: your factory, money, etc…
Also, you can make a cult without a perfect peace ending. The easiest way I did so is if I was broke/didn’t have a job, living on the street. An option at some point to create cult should come up. That’s why I figure I’m missing either some trait emphasis, or starting dialogue choice on the Somethingian achievement.
You have to be in a relationship with a human lover at that point, and build the companions. As long as you don’t drive one of them away, your companion bot will want to go stargazing. You could bring both your human lover, and robot along. The companion bot will then want to get intimate, and there should be an option to have your human lover join in as well. Additionally, you may have to have a high relationship with your human lover (I don’t know if they leave in a huff if it is too low
I would just like to mention that when I decided to flee to Canada because. China is swag. the game told me that I basically half expected to see a giant line running through the ground but the forest knew no such border. This in fact, is not true. Canada and the United states have a twenty foot wide defining line of cut down trees in between the forest. I know Im being a bit picky, but…
You can definitely have China not steal your technology. Silas needs to be working for you though. You can either lay out false plans that kill anyone who replicates them, or completely shut down the factory internet connection.
Hi, I was wondering if you could please tell me how you managed to romance Juliet? I’ve tried multiple times but I can never get many interactions with her to begin with.
