@Havenstone is well balance game but dont make game excessive difficult to charm focused characters. The combatant characters has a total advantage later on, dont make game so difficult that i never could survive. I could accept lost all that helots but let me a way to ¨talk¨ a way to escape if not i positive dead, i dont raid our people so no weapons.
Lex, you get asked what your family could afford to train you in: combat, debate, or academia, just choose the skills you want to try out.
@stsword oops I had a hurr durr moment, for some reason I thought that all the skills started out on 0 and then when up to a maximum of 1…
Thank you anyway stsword.
Lol. Also Mara I think that there are enough advantages to the Charisma focused character already. Also when’s the next update.
@Beezlebub What? my only avantage was dont need kill some stupid priest.
When game advance you with your soldier would have tons and tons off advantages who i with zero combat knowledge i only could dream about so i dont understand all yelling about how overpowered charisma is. Its no overpowered hell, battles dont begin yet, then we will see what is the overpower path , when you have a 345 helots army. And i only 50 with no weapons, sure im terrible overpower against you.
I think it is far too soon to judge the balance of the various stats. Keep in mind that we haven’t even seen all of part 1.
I think mreed’s right. Also calm down Mara I was just saying that it didn’t seem like you got that many advantages from combat. Also you get better relations with most of the group and increase the morale of your troops with charisma.
FYI, Beez, with high combat skills, you increase your troops’ morale by winning fights.
Ahh well whatever. This game is so awesome I don’t even care and we’re not even done with the first chapter. I have an issue I can’t tell if High School Life CoR or Tin Star is the best CoG. D:
With intellect and moderate charisma keeping morale up is nigh impossible since I always seem to lose more from presumably openly using theurgy being impious and keeping anrchy low enough to get Simon than I can possibly gain from raiding or the perks I can buy after the winter. As it stands from what i can glean from my admittedly limited understanding of the code the temple raid is what always puts the nail in the proverbial coffin when it coms to keeping morale acceptable yet performing that raid is, absent the opportunity to rob the tax collector, necessary to be able to surive the winter in the first place. Of course it is also an opportunity to impress Simon.
Like I said I hope that a being able to execute a cunning plan to steal from the tax collector can help to offset some of these things as well as actually hurt the empire somewhat and boost the legitimacy of my rebellion as an actual rebellion and not merely a band of bandits.
Nice post idon.
I haven’t played this yet, but before I knew you were writing a game on rebellion, I kinda had my own idea for a game on rebellion… It takes place in the modern day though… You wouldn’t think I’m ripping off your idea if I did go through with my rebellion game, would you?(After, of course, I finish my very first title, Rome: The Punic Chronicles)
Congratulations, you crushed the dreams of an aspiring 17 year old writer with this amazing story… Just sayin! =((
Don’t feel bad this is ( in my opinion ) the best game on CoG.
Agreed.
This is an excellant, but unfinished game so I’ll say its the best when its done. Dont want to jinx it
Hehe your right.
But I’ll do it anyways it’s the best.
And so goes a excellent game
NOOOOOOO!!!
