Choice of Rebels Part 1 WIP thread

@Havenstone: Looks good to me – depending on how you use the flags to change the text displayed later in the game. :slight_smile:

Absolutely. And I’ll be relying on you to point out where I get it wrong. :smiley:

@Havenstone that’s fine the only problem with that is how do you get Simon/Suzanne and actually have enough money to do something with. I think a 16 anarchy threshold is waaaaaay too low, around 20 or so would be good.

Link?

Getting a blademaster – even an inexperienced one – is some compensation for a low income.

Well if she trains the troops then yes, but I don’t think that was mentioned, or was it?

@Havenstone i already wrote this comment, but just in case you missed it, i am recommenting what i found during the game.

I chose intellect one where i learn “magic”
and i never used it in front of anyone yet.
i didn’t even save the helots.
i didn’t even shout about how Religion was nonsense.
i spoke up about freeing my land.
but in the priest section, it seems they already figured out that i can use “magic” and hate me for it.
also, priests already hate me if i am not devout.
i guess even before the rebellion, i must have shouted to the world that i am not devout at all.
and was there any mention of how Radmar got into the rebellion group when i didn’t even save the helots and never knew where he was during the whole thing?

Thanks, OKidOKi. I’ll fix that.

Edit: the priests should no longer be able to figure out your secrets. Where did you see Radmar after not saving the helots? I thought he’d only pop up in Ch 2 if you’d saved the helots from your town.

@Havenstone You’re welcome :smiley:

@Havenstone Never tiring of representing the nobility, might I suggest a fourth route to the introduction: Your family starts off in a rather bad state, so surely it would be possible to give an indication of the rights of nobilities being trampled upon, in relation to the decline of your household, at the beginning? A few cases of intrusive spies, assassins, and overly-centralised authority?

I’d rather not write a prologue that only aristos will see (or that requires me to move the aristo/helot choice to be the first one). But I do intend to include some more detail on the trampled rights of nobility in the nationalism prologue.

@Drazen i agree but sadly, we are the only nobility based rebellion,here. I could do with 3at least we aren’t helots lover now. I prefer just don’t stop harrowing and then claim for my old country rights, i feel myself like William Wallace. Also only 40 helots i don’t need stole my people and i got triple of food i need without fight. But i got food enough in first temple thing i do more and more in rest options. What we do with rest of food why i can’t exchange it for weapons if Im with merchant guild and never stole a coin.

@Havenstone Weave it in, wherever! The Helots one could always reference what nobles should/used to be like, in addressing their whining, for example.

@MaraJade Fucking William Wallace… There’s something about raping and slaughtering the nuns at Carlisle Abbey that irks me whenever he’s referenced in popular culture.

@Drazen no idea about Real William Wallace i never read nothing about his rebel scum . I only saw half of the movie. Rebels sucks 99% of times,they are mass murderers who use they ideals to convince people to kill even more people.

So I suppose it would be wrong of me to write in a plucky helot named Willam Drazen who declaims, “They can take our land, they can take our lives, but they’ll never take… OUR FREEDOM.”

@Havenstone trying so very hard not to laugh lest I bring down the wrath of Drazen upon us all…

@Havenstone i have to say William Drazen is a hell good name. But its helot, Im tired of being with helots everywhere. Also i can’t learn helots names Im just the mercenary the sick one; Im just to much cynical to be a rebel. Also there will be a noble less nun than Simon he is cool and i like him; but he was end like monk, Think in Noble babies lol!!

@Havenstone if i remember correctly, he appeared in the “my fellow remembered in Legend group.” Only the strategist was dead. also Breden was not appeared since i told him to go away. but Radmar was with my group with Zvad.

@Havenstone

Thanks for clarifying what is happening in Chapter 2. I have noticed something that is jarring though. During my previous-to-last playthrough I had chosen a less ruthless route and managed to get the smuggling scheme set up.

This playthough I used more ruthless options and when I decided to set up the scheme first (Before doing any raiding) I found that the dialog was identical to the dialog I got when I chose to do raiding first.
