I can’t wait to have Hades as a father and find out just what his children’s second ability is. Anyone have any ideas? Poseidon’s children’s abilities were pretty easy to make up because he’s the god of the oceans and earthquakes but I don’t think Hades has another obvious second affinity than his connection to the dead which we is the one known ability of Hades kids. I think it might have something to do with a plot point and be relatively important because of how mysteriously it was referred to in the stats page and I think the author posted awhile back that they deliberately made it hard to be a child of Hades for plot reasons. What could the power be?
Edit: just checked and he’s also the god of wealth so it probably has to do with that.

I can’t wait either! Hades in my opinion is the best and nicest of the choices 
. I hope the author will make it possible to have him as a dad if you don’t kill the seaker because he wants you to be good.
Anyways to the powers we might get my theory is we will get the power to summon ghost or necromancy and summon skeletons or something. That’s my theory tho but it would be cool to talk with ghost and ask them for help

isn’t lightning a more likely demigod power to gain from Zeus, if you’re talking about weapons, Poseidon’s children get a spear, which is a melee weapon, which would be useless to our very much not-warrior mc’s. Hades gives that gun, which is slightly better, but my mc simply won’t accept anything from his “dad”.
Maybe that divine viagra pill allows you to bang anyone you want on Olympus, which may come in hand sometime (like Bang Ares’ in order to “win” his trial. 
I mean my mc would love to be able to do that. 
). 
As for demigod powers, we haven’t really got access to them yet, but again I’ll bet Zeus’ is lightning, which is way cooler than creepy necromancy.
It’s not like either of our characters are trained weapon users, maybe a (poisoned in your case) dagger hidden in the boots that we don’t have either, combined with the element of surprise.
Besides the Gods obviously don’t think we need anything, or else they would have given us a suitable weapon before that party, you know where all the guys had swords or daggers, except for the mc.
The nicest, he’s the crappiest and most hypocritical of the “dads” by far.

with Hades it’s the hypocrisy of it all that is most grating, with the whole sudden “super-dad” act. With Poseidon we’re one of (innumerably) many and Zeus, as Mara already explained, is at least and equal-opportunity crappy dad, as is plainly evident in that he treats Saint just as dismissively as he does the mc.
Not if i can summon skeletons to fight for me while i stand back and relax. 
That really depends on the caliber of skeletons, it’s not really useful to only be able to animate mouse and rat skeletons that any of the other competitors will just crush under their boots.
Also even if we were able to animate sufficiently powerful skeletons somehow, I doubt the mc has the control required to point them at their enemies, as the mc has way more power than control and the mc’s control over any of their “abilities” is really pathetic. Those skeletons would probably attack us.
At least with lightning the power versus non-existent control thing matters a lot less, as long as the mc is at least able to discharge in the vague direction of their targets.

We will see what options we will have. It’s not like i like it that with 50% Essence we can barely break a lock .
Well With Lighting I at least could fancy myself as a lady sith UNLIMITED POWEEEEERRR . and about weapon Yes I have no shit idea of how use them. But others don’t have that information. They have been raised fearing me… So in their mind I know how to fight . I could use a weapon as menacing tool or at least gain some respect.
With Viagra… Not so much.

True, which is why we presumably don’t get to have a weapon at the party. On the other hand the others actually seeing us use a weapon and living to tell about seems like a fast way to become even more disrespected and far less feared to boot then we already are now.
It is the whole fact that mages and warriors have the exact same level or lack of control over their powers that bothers me. A supposed “mage” should have at least been able to finesse it to open that lock cleanly, instead of just brute forcing it and blowing it up. Even more worrying the “mage” has far more actual control, although still falling far short of Aeson, over their “magic” before that stupid potion induced coma, after that coma we cannot magic our way out of a paper bag any longer and what powers we do still have become completely and utterly uncontrollable and unreliable. 
Nope, considering the Gods can kill us easily and with a mere thought at the moment, I fail to see why Cronus couldn’t.

Is it sad that i can see the MC being backhanded by Cronus into a wall? And you are right about the lack of control, we should have been able to unlock the door with a wave of hand.

There are lots of things we should have been able to do…I mean we let Sage choke the pride outta us in front of all the other demikids…
All thats doing right now is fueling my mcs pent up frustration at being treated like a mcnoodle doormat. Olympus better be ready when/if they finally achieve full control of their power. Especially you Hades.

I honestly think Hades is the best dad.
Though has he tried to act like a super dad? I felt Zeus was acting more than he was. I mean they all can make an attempt at being nice and I think Poseidon was the most real (Accounting for Hades maybe trying to butter us up to make up for lost time), having visibly been unsure of us, while Zeus will use us the most, having always been supportive despite a lack of interaction
Plus the same could be applied to Auntie.
And are we sure Aeson’s stuff is from Hades and not from the gods in general or the demis?
Even disregarding this games events, I don’t want to find out that my pet or a random monster is my sibling. (What do you mean my cousin is my sibling!?) Plus I’d much rather have skeletons and the element of surprise to lightning, water and/or earthquakes. Things that the others would know to expect.
Plus Hades is appealing to my American heritage with his gift and it’s also the most visibly practical. God of wealth is also a plus.
Though with Poseidon as a dad it makes a nice trinity of siblings. One for each father.
On a related note: which gods do we trust? I personally only completely trust Hephaestus, Poseidon and Hestia. The first two because they were unsure of their stance and the latter because she is characteristically good. I somewhat trust Hades, Artemis, and Apollo. (They’re all relatively nice too) Athena I will never trust.

I’m mostly a Poseidon guy because of :
- The Percy Jackson series got me hooked on old fish legs.
- I’m more of a beat em up guy than a distract/outthink type of guy.
- Besides Hades, he seems the most genuine. Not to say that Zeus isn’t genuine but Poseidon/Hades seem to be the most genuine.

Wow I’ve been out of this thread for ages! And when did the bug of only having Poseidon as your dad pop up because that used to not be a thing? Wow. I’m really behind with this thread after my health got bad last year

Maybe it’s super viagra you throw into others mouth forcing 90% of the blood in the body into one area defeating them due to blood oxygen loss.

Not for us, we’re likely the poorest young demigod on Olympus. Slightly better in the new situation, but really painfully obvious in the old one.
