Children of the Gods (Important poll #12306)

I am ok with you, or even make it random with a probability of 90 zeus or Poseidon 10 Hades. My criticism is for the assassination determine my dad. I don’t care who my dad is really.

But the majority of the people spare the Seeker and play as a magician.

Are you sure that it’s really the majority? And that it will still be the significant majority when the game one day will go on sale as a Hosted Game?

I’m always a warrior that didn’t kill the seeker. I actually like the fact the Poseidon is my dad because it makes me feel like I’m Percy Jackson.

I’m sure it is the majority, just see the replies in thia thread.

And I’m sure it will be, because the majority of people play as a mage and with “good” alignment

It’s not working at all when I reach the dad it jus stops with an error sadness

The people that speak up in the thread are not the only ones playing. We have many lurkers on the forum and some people that come on the side without signing in on the forum. And the last one seems just like an assumption you have.

I just see other games, for example the majority of people played as mage in Dragon Age Inquisition.

Is it the significant majority or only the loud “majority”? (Or worded in another way: Where do you get your numbers from?)

But this in a sense like a rpg and everyone can choose what they want to be, whether that’s a warrior or mage, a killer or not, is up to them.

I know Bioware has released infographics for how people tend to play their games (Mass Effect had players who were more likely to be Paragon, hence why I believe that players are most likely to be good guys on a first playthrough).
While that doesn’t represent the players of games here, I wouldn’t be surprised if a poll revealed that most people did not choose to kill Saxon)

There were polls on BioWare forum, and as @RedRoses said the majority of the people played as Paragon in ME.

Yeah, but only 19% of Mass Effect players choose to play as female (What is no comparison to choice games I would say), and it wasn’t the equivalent of the mage that got chosen by most people as class but the Soldier. And again the problem with forums, that only a certain pool of people can be reached. And we often enough see here on the forum that what most people here do/think/like isn’t always the same what other players outside the forums will like.

Anyway just from looking at how many paths lead to Hades, he and Zeus are the hardest to get. For all I care I would be even glad about a change in the decision (because that means my MC will get their Fishwater daddy back), but in the end it’s a way to make the decision more random, nothing more.

Cause most people know that Paragon-Control is the best ending

And yes, I do believe that what we see here in the forums could be a decent indicator to how people play their MC but there could also be a silent majority that leans more towards another outcome

IIRC, Destroy was the most chosen ending.

@Sammysam you cant really compare Mass Effect classes with the ones from Dragon Age, there are no real mages and Warriors on ME. And Soldier was the closest class to a pure shootet class.

The class from this game are Warrior and Mage, you can compare them to Dragon Age.

And you can’t just dismiss the opinions on this topic, they represent a large portion of the people that play this game.

Back to topic people lol. THIS IS NOT are we majority thread. I am not the majority for sure I am weird as hell.

@Urban Oh, don’t even get me started on the Destroy ending.

@poison_mara there could very well be other people who are also role-playing their MCs in this game as dark and brooding and distrustful as yours :stuck_out_tongue:

My point is that what the forum posts trend to be may or may not indicate how people who buy the game will play like. It may be more skewed towards one side, it could be more equal. We can’t know for sure. Why not just let the author do as she wills and go with whatever outcomes we get?

I don’t dismiss them. I just point out that just because we have a certain trends here on the forums doesn’t mean that they have to translate to other players as soon as the game gets published. (And large is a relative term, just btw, because many people here may will buy the game, but I would guess that the actual number of buyers will be much higher as for example only the 150 or so people that liked the topic and the - what? - 200-300 people that post here?). (if you want to discuss about this further do it through pm please.) @poison_mara is right.

And I any way don’t really get why you so badly want that Hades as father gets aligend to killing the seeker?
In the end it will depend on Rohie’s decision. And she already laid out her reasoning. Maybe she will change it, then we both get what we want, maybe not. It will not change anything to beat a dead horse, by now, just let the author do what they want.

I already said it will be the way she wants, doesn’t mean I can’t point something that I disagree. I’m not demanding anything.

It will be higher the numbers of buyers, but it can show how people are leaning. It is much more easier to the majority of the people who buy this game to mirror the choices in this topic, than it not. It can happen ofc, it is just more difficult.

if* Rohie releases an update
