Hey, when everybody rather wants to dance, instead of eating? Not my MCs fault when everything got eaten as soon as the dances end.
And they are a little bit warily when it comes to masses and parties (stress level 75 or so). It’s some nervous kind of …rodent reflex, nervous eating while looking around if someone tries to kill you…or wants to steal your food. In my mind both get answered by biting that person.
Are you kidding?! My MC is ready to hit the dancefloor!
Also I assume that the dance options might a way start a “romance” with the characters.
Food. My Favorite topic! And My point of view when it comes to food is that I don’t share it. Never. And my MC is the same. So there better be some food left we she goes to eat!
WHAT? You don’t think biting people is an attractive trait, good to allure potential mates? Or to start courtship rituals? Oh my, my poor MC will die alone (Well not really, Aeson will die too…)
Oh no! I approve of the biting if you’re protecting your food.
It is good sense to protect what is yours against possible attack from dirty food thief! My MC would find that kind of behaviour adequate and chivalrous also.
My MC’s gonna stay the course and ask either Sage or Psyche to dance after flirting with Calypso the past 4 chapters. He’s gonna hit on as many attractive Olympians or die trying
And between Calypso and Sage, it’s likely the latter
So many masochists on this forum… do you want to be strangled in your sleep?
For me it is between Adonis, Calypso or Aeson. Most likely Aeson.
I am also interested in what kind of interactions we can have with the gods during the ceremony…I hope we have the time to do more things then just one! Like dance, hit the buffet and talk to some people! after all the night is long.
But I somewhat wonder if dancing will be the only way to closer socialize with the ROs. No fan of too cheesy romance starters. Let them throw food in each others face, that’s funnier. And those characters have far too serious things to come. They could need something to laugh about. So, if my character can’t be a miserable dancer that steps on every foot, I hope for other starters of romance.
Or when both characters are sobbing messes, that’s also a nice place to start and end romance…Can MC talk others into becoming sobbing messes? You know breaking open every emotional wound while breaking down the nice outside? …I…I’m not sure why I would want to do that
@RanchoJoe You really want to feel the pain? At least Calypso won’t “kill” you, because she is friends with/“likes” Aeson. No guarantee for the others.
I honestly thought the first way you had for the whole father thing was fine. I originally wanted Hades, but when my mc got Poseidon I was surprised and excited. She wanted Hades, but didn’t get him and decided she wanted to give Poseidon a shot instead; he was so awkwardly adorable and the fact that he’s a mix of Hades and Zeus, as described by Saint, was perfect for my Mia. But now I can’t get Poseidon with high wit and having not killed the seeker, only Hades, which I feel takes away from your original point of wanting Hades to be rare (and honestly, after seeing that Aeson gets claimed by Hades, I would rather keep him as Uncle Henry and have Poseidon as the father). That’s not to say I have an issue with either outcome, however.
I certainly don’t envy you for having to try and balance it all out and I guess no matter what, not everyone will always be happy with the outcome. I’m sorry it’s become difficult to try an accomodate all these desires and I think it’s awesome that you care so much about the feedback of the readers.
This story is fantastic, I can’t love it anymore than I already do, and I’m looking forward to whatever comes next. Do what you think is best for your story. Just thinking about future updates has me excited.
Oh, and Aeson is very intriguing. I feel as if my mc should have conflicting feelings for him (he basically had the life she wants: everyone loves him and welcomes him, while they fear and stare at her; the people she’s been hanging with are already his beaties; he’s been on Mount Olympus while mc has lived a life on the run with the people she loves always leaving; and Uncle Henry claims him… the jealousy!) But at the same time, they have a connection and history with their past lives, they’re intertwined, and the prospect that he’s not all showy-hero all the time and actually has depth is very interesting. We’ve barely seen him and i’m already gently pushing my mc towards him. They’re pretty much soulmates and I’m a huge sucker for it. I’m so sorry, Adonis.
You know a food fight’s bound to run into the trope of someone hitting the authority figure. Do you really want Zeus to get hit by a pepperoni pizza on his face?
