I do have a question regarding Olle, the child adopted by the lesbian couple. Is it implied he was born with some sort of birth defect which makes him “weak” or is he mentally/physically challenged due to cold exposure? He seemed similar to babies born with mental disabilities or something akin to down syndrome based on appearance and mannerisms but I didn’t want to assume.

Thanks for the question. Olle is indeed mentally disabled and exhibits physical characteristics considered ‘not normal’ in Vanir society. This led to his harsh treatment and the cruel circumstances in which Halla discovered him shortly after his birth. Unfortunately, Iseir and its inhabitants don’t present themselves clearly as good or evil. Good attention to detail. You are the first to ask me to clarify that fact.

I used to work in an assisted living facility for the mentally and physically disabled and noticed he seemed somewhat similar to a few of the sweethearts I cared for. I really like the inclusion of a character who is “naturally” disabled rather than becoming disabled via injury like Duke Cunaris from the Infinity series and how a society that rejects such individuals treats them (if you haven’t played that I’d highly suggest it btw).

The option to defend a teammate was available, and I thought Bran was targeting Olli, but it ended up being my MC somehow. It is also worth noting that the “rally/revive” move is a waste of time because it doesn’t work no matter who does it.
I can only conclude that sometimes the pathing rules cause confusion, like with choosing to ignore Gisla making her pull MC’s hair, but then also populating the text for if you did try to interact in the next paragraph.

I fixed the bugs you noticed yesterday when I got home, and I also saw the issue with the revive command. So, that’s fixed, too, since it doesn’t totally ‘break’ the scene. Those particular fixes will be included in the next update I post, which will likely include some tweaks to the ambush scene and additions to the stats page, including at least two characters’ relationship trackers, the beginnings of the codex, and the acknowledgments page. Thanks again for pointing out the bugs.
