Can you marry the Monarch without causing the Consort's death?

After a bit of testing, I came to the conclusion that even with a high Rep and med-high RelKing stats, the Monarch will always have me killed even if I’m only indirectly responsible for the Consort’s death in B1.

The best ending I’ve ever gotten is a run as the Monarch’s mistress. Monarch dies of natural causes, Juanita becomes the next ruler, eventually gives the crown to Antonio.

But, now, after getting back and replaying the game again, I’m wondering if there’s a way to get to that “monarch dies of natural causes” end as their spouse (and, for argument’s sake, let’s say with a legitimate Life Mage Antonio as the heir).

(Thanks y’all!)

I think there is you have to throw de Vega under the bus blame him for everything he gets horrifically executed but it gets you to the end

There’s a couple ways. Personally my favorite is murdering the King/Queen once they start going really downhill. Then, you can become regent for your child. (Edit: Apologies, I misread and didn’t realize you were asking specifically about the death of natural causes achievement. I just thought you were asking about ending the game without being executed as the consort in general.)
