Thanks for pointing out those parts. I’ll edit those parts.
I’ll have to check if I synced the right files then if those grammar errors are still there in bulk. Also, I noticed I didn’t sync the right version on the family side. Should be able to read through to the end of the day after the Markets now.
Thanks, that new Task Day was such a pain to code. Glad it’s enjoyable.
I had a feeling it might be a little hard to get to Elias. The ESP requirement is the same as the other Mentors but there’s a little trick to it and I can see many are missing it then.
Stuff like this, together with other formatting…stuff should be put into the “welcome to the forums” thread. Would be great help to others. I have no doubt that there are many other commands that I don’t even know of. And, specifically that thread to make it cleaner.
At least there is a small thread having it as topic. [here] But considering the frequency the spoiler tags are used I would welcome it, if we could have it as commando directly in the reply box, next to blockquote and hyperlink. But that’s a topic for a different thread I guess.
The choices for mentors are Sera, The JaggLinn Twins and Elias. The reason you get to choose between Elias and Sera is so that you don’t feel forced to have him as your mentor because at that point you have to have a mentor and will not get placed elsewhere.
Trying to figure out requirements for parts this story is probably going to take up a lot of our time, ehh? Hehe. About the big sabotage mission. If we’re part of Claude’s training group, Zed will approach us. Whereas if we’re under an apprenticeship, Anne will approach us, am I right?
Spoiler about age 10 mission -> Once again, you are correct. You will also be approached by Anna if you fail to get an apprenticeship. When negotiating you can ask to be made an apprentice.
I was thinking of doing something like Lucid for “showing the numbers”, but later on after I’ve finished writing in the parts of the age 10. It’s just a lot of re-reading and editing and I’m fired up right now to get the rest of age 10 written. Age 12 has been a long time waiting.
Oh wow, that is kind of hard to find then if it took around 4 hours.
Should I mention in the text of Recreation Day that children will be scoped out for a new program?
Spoiler about getting mentors → Okay so to be considered for an apprenticeship you will need to have your ESP above a certain amount. For the twins, they will ask for you if they have met you before. For Sera, she may ask for you if she has or hasn’t met you. For Elias, he will ask for you if you don’t choose to explore all options of Recreation Day <-I hope that hint helps. If not, I may have to write out a clues page later. Remember you will still need to have the required amount of ESP skill or you won’t be considered at all and will be rejected instead.
No wonder, I couldn’t find Elias!! Now that I think about it, I remember getting him last year, though I didn’t know how I did it. Ever since then I couldn’t figure it out. Till today.
Yeah! I did have him in there since the beginning. I ran into an error if, you know, above spoilers didn’t happen then you would end up at some random place where your not supposed to be. So I decided to write him in as an option but then when I got a computer he was a hard path to find.
So, do you think it needs some kind of hints throughout Recreation Day?
I have a hints page for some of the hidden achievements that I haven’t coded for the public yet. I think having hints on how to get to certain paths will be okay to put in there as well. (Instead of my previous idea). It’s something I’m adding after writing the game.
Oh. My. God. I’ve played lots of interactive novels (completed or wip) and let me tell you that this, as short as it may have been, is my favourite. The way is written and the powers you can choose (will water or shadows be available?) are awesome. I think I’ll stay with fire though because I’m SO into Oriel. Great job mate. Keep up the good work!
