I.have been watching this thread from some time and i must say i have developed a interest towards this game, i think it shall be a hit. As some said the intro might be long, i dont really mind that if it keeps me rooted.

I’m glad to get comments like this because as hard as I’m working on it, I’m actually a bit self conscious of it. I write well, and I know I have something to be proud of when it comes to that, but the added element in creating a game makes me unsure. Part of me has this urge to ask, “Is this okay?” about so many aspects of it so far. Instead, I’ve been trying to work more on it when I get that urge because I know I’ll get better feedback if I actually have what needs feedback rather than just describing it to the best of my ability.

Dont worry, choice of games provides closed beta testing, but if you need wide range of users to test the game and give feedback you can try hosted games.
I believe you can do it, and it will come as a masterpiece im sure.
You can also add vamp-human romance to strengthen the game
Can add some secret fractions or divisions which provide diff perks for joining them.
Last but not least…will you help the vamps to live like normal humans freely roaming?(if you have romanced a vamp this ending can be suitable)
Or will you continue to follow orders and deal with them?
These are just my opinions though.

Well, the supposed goal of the organization MC works for is to help vampires blend into society (secondary to human safety). The main antagonists will be a crime ring of vampires. And it’s going to get a lot more complicated than that. I already have all that junk planned out, TBH.
And regarding vamp-human romance: Three of the characters MC can romance are vampires and one is fae. Not to mention that there is a vampire route and a human route.

Hmm…2 exception…some people may be very much interested in those 2 characters but may have hard time romancing them as straight…
I dont have a solution…but i think what “if” the npc romances are not gender specific ?..your mc can romance anyone he/she wants and it doesnt matter if your playing as straight or anything else.
Gender and romances are main reasons some games dont get the love. These are indeed very difficult to work on.
But i think the plot itself is interesting for blood rights. Best of luck ,will definitely want to see this in playstore and steam!.

I actually decided I was doing this partially because I encounter this constantly when it comes to trying to romance characters of the same gender in games. There are plenty of times when it’s just not an available option, and other times where it is but you only get the choice of one character.
Not to mention there’s a serious lack of actual gay and lesbian characters in media.
And either way, men who’d like to romance women still get three romance options, and women who’d like to romance men still get four romance options.

Eh, it wasn’t on purpose or anything. It just ended up that way. It’s also something that could still change, since I’m on the fence about a few things (like side characters actually being relevant later in the story).

Soooo because I am the curious sort, is the canon lesbian romance a vampire?
If straight people want to romance the gay/lesbian characters then they can…what was it I’m always told? Oh right! Play as the other gender or just deal with it

I’m still on the fence about that. Currently and up till now (through the planning process of the story), yes, she is a vampire. Depending on how the story goes, that could change; I’m just not at that point currently.

…i told because i mostly play as male thats all, just a personal opinion.
This has been another time period in which I haven’t really gotten any writing done, but I have been thinking and considering the story and plot constantly. I like to be a few steps ahead so I don’t end up stuck and having to change entire scenes because they don’t transition well into whatever is next.
That being said, I’ve made a couple decisions. I’m pretty sure I’ll include the background characters I was considering including more in the story, with one having a romance option so that there are an even number of men and women romance options. I need to think about how to include them later on, but I’m sure I’ll figure it out.
The other thing I wanted to mention is that, as of right now, there’s no specific “trans option.” This is something I’m still considering, but wouldn’t be implemented until I’m close to finishing the game because whether or not I include it depends heavily on time restraints. It would be easy to just give a trans option and never mention it again, but if I’m going to include a trans option I’d like to do it right–I say this as a trans guy. That said, there is a nonbinary option.
Also, to the people keeping an eye on this project: what do you like most in a game like this (choicescript, I mean)? Is there anything from what you know so far that you’re expecting to see in this project? Anything you’d really like to see?
I’d like to see character development and interaction, powers and combat, romance is definitely something that should be included, and a chance to na sarcastic funny bastard if possible. Basically, I want to be as much like varric tethras/ sarcastic hawke as possible. If you know who they. Banter between characters including MC.

I agree with this. In games where I have choices I like to shape my character to resemble my own personality.
