"Blood Moon"—You're a werewolf; but can you survive the night?

I finally had a chance to play through the entire game. I had played the demo, previously, but had forgotten a lot, other than the fact that I loved it–and I still love it!

I did something with this one that I rarely do, which is play without code-diving from the very beginning. I ended up never checking the code, which never happens, anymore. The choices were obvious enough that I didn’t see a way to mistakenly screw up the MC I wanted to build or end up in a situation that my MC wouldn’t be in. So kudos for that.

The story was superb, the character’s were intriguing and well-written, and the MC was relatable. Sarcasm seemed built in to some extent, but it wasn’t overdone and it didn’t overshadow moments where more stoic MCs were more serious. The writing was really good, flowing well from one scene to the next without a bunch of needless padding. And that child vampire was so damned creepy.

It’s rare I play a game where I like all the characters, even the antagonistic ones, but this game hit that mark–the kid vampire, Blackwell, the vamps that come help fight him, the other group of werewolves, Lee… I love them all. And the Alpha dying was sad. I played two times, one with the MC going with Farro and the other going with the Alpha and crew, and the second one really hurt.

It had a very satisfying ending, too! The part with the MC’s mom, where it seems you’re dead and then she’s like, “Oops, nope, you’re fine, go on!” was incredible. Emotional, but somehow cute at the same time.

Now for the ROs…

Although I love all the characters, my two MCs friendzoned Marcus right off the bat. He’s sweet, but was such a bff that they couldn’t get past that point with him. Ed was awesome, too, and I may go back and play his route to see where it goes. The problem is that there were two standout ROs here: Farro and Sergei. With those two around, it’s impossible to try to play other routes!

Farro was my first choice, and it did not disappoint. He’s the perfect mix of “I’ve been out of the scene for a long time and not sure wtf I’m doing” and “throw you against the wall and fuck your brains out, because instinct takes over”. Hani was adorable and just made my MC love Farro even more. I had feared he’d just go back with Roe, so it was a pleasant surprise when he said he wanted to stay.

Sergei… no other way to say it than to say he grabbed this reader’s heart and yanked it right out of my chest. My first MC almost kissed him, but went for a hug, instead (she only had eyes for Farro). I, however, had eyes for Sergei, so made a second MC for him. She still ended up flirting with Farro, because… well, Farro. But went for Sergei the first time with a kiss. He’s so awesome. And, once he finally stopped fighting it, and got over the age difference, holy shit! Love him!

The sex scenes were very well done. Hot, with just the right mix of roughness (I mean, they’re werewolves, so hell yeah!) and emotion. Probably the best I’ve seen in any CoG games so far.

Anyway, I really enjoyed the game and would love to see more. Hope you don’t mind fan fiction–I usually don’t write it for media where I’m happy about how things went down and turned out, but I have to make an exception for this because I need more Sergei and Farro in my life.

Congrats on the game, and I hope to see more from you!

Which option is the best? It’s been a long time since I played it and I don’t remember, I don’t want to screw up something and restart the game.

It doesn’t really matter what you choose here. You may encounter a hunter in the hospital depending on what you did prior to this scene, but you can always deal with him just fine. Other than the slight changes to relationships and maybe your “Alpha score”, nothing will get screwed-up long term and certainly not enough to warrant a full restart.

Alpha score?

It’s hidden a score that determines whether or not your MC become The Alpha of the pack, I’d wager.

I want to be alpha. Does anyone know which of the above options affect the result?

I looked at the code (totally legal, don’t worry) to make sure and yeah, this choice does nothing for your Alpha score. Go wild.

Thank you!

Generally speaking, if you just choose the options saying you want to lead and be the alpha, you’ll be able to become the alpha. At worst it’ll be a tie and you’ll have to fight for it, but you can always win.

My MC felt bad beating Sergei… but she got over it.

Decided to see if I could get Vicky to kill my Alpha. Would have been neat to see it happen

For those curious

It is possible for Vicky to get possessed by Carrie’s ghost. I decided to run away from the city while having a relationship with her. I really expected her to gut my character in her sleep. I mean, get even with her killer

I can assure you that being gutted in your sleep is not among the possible ways to die in this game.

I know. I only said it would have been neat if it happened if @Barb had it happen in that case

I can definitely see that.

That’s a really good idea. I’m sorry I didn’t think of it.

I wanted to know if there was a romance guide I just got the game now and was wondering who the ROs are.

The eight ROs are Carrie, Ed, Farro, Marco, Roe, Sergi, Shawnie, and Vicky.

I have a question how do I romance Roe?

Someone made a guide of all the romances on a Google doc and posted it on tumblr.

Think you just need to be logged into a Google account and you can view it to see exactly what choices need to be made to romance Roe.

Dunno if that replied directly to your comment so I’m doing it again :grimacing::joy:

You need to become the Alpha and leave the city ( after you flirt whit them in the bar meeting)
