Blood Money — Take over your crime family with ghost power!

I got a Tumblr ask for a little trivia post about Pereira, so here we go!

Mari Pereira is a GEMINI :gemini:

…and is an ESFP, the Entertainer: Extroverted, Sensing, Feeling, Perceiving…
…and if you can imagine Pidgeon Pagonis with long braided hair, Pereira would look something like them.

They like to think they’re smart and opportunistic, but though they are both those things, they’re very bad at thinking through the consequences for their actions. They come from a big, boisterous family who like to tease and jostle - Pereira gives as good as they get, and makes it clear that they love their family a great deal, even if there’s a lot that they can’t share with them about their life.

And ditto for Nico and Silvian!

Silvian Fonseca…

…is a Pisces :pisces: :fish:
…and is an ENFP, the Campaigner: Extroverted, Intuitive, Feeling, Perceiving…
…and I’ve never managed to find a facecast that quite matches my image of her, but if anyone has any headcanons for her, I’d love to see them. (Keke Palmer is the closest I’ve found, but she’s a bit young.)

Silvian is intensely conscious of the class privilege she was born into and tries to use her education and knowledge of that world for good on behalf of blood magicians with a less privileged background. She has a couple of siblings, but like the rest of her family she is entirely estranged from them. When she left home, she was struck from many of the records including the removal from her space in the family crypt. In Nasri City, that’s a very big deal. But she has found a chosen family amongst the magicians, and amongst the ghosts themselves.

Nico Cabral…

…is a Taurus :taurus::cow:
…and an ISFJ, the Defender: Introverted, Sensing, Feeling, Judging
…and I’d headcanon him as André Holland especially with this very serious-business expression

…and here’s the outfit he wears when you first encounter him:

Nico had a strong sense of justice instilled in him especially during medical school when he suddenly encountered a great deal of individuals suffering because of systemic problems. Unlike Silvian, Nico believes in changing the system to enact greater justice, rather than destroying the system altogether. He gets on really well with his parents - and with the rest of his family, who live outside the city in relatively expensive rural areas. But he’s sometimes struggled to reconcile his upper-middle-class background with the suffering he tries to alleviate on a daily basis.

Blood Money is currently featured in the AdventureX Steam Sale, along with many other excellent narrative games. If you’re in the mood for a blood-soaked ghostly time this week, take a look!

Just a little bump to announce the new “A Ghostly Helping Hand” IAP!

This may sound stupid but are only the base games on sale or the cheats right now on sale too?

I got Blood Money cheat on steam but nothing is showing up it works on Crème de la Crème! but not blood money.

First off, thanks @HarrisPS for adding this cheat menu. I really appreciate it. Now I can focus my attention on whatever I want, without having to worry about getting punished in other areas. That being said, I also believe I found two bugs. When activating the friends in high places mode, Octavia isn’t affected. Secondly, everything related to Ferro and Nico’s election stats seems to be swapped. Improving Ferro’s election chances will improve Nico’s instead, and vice versa. Their election stats are also swapped on the main stats screen.

Thank you so much for reporting this! I will investigate and fix ASAP.

edit: @Denzil_Melgior_Nagel The Ferro and Nico thing looks like it was cosmetic only with how the stat screen was laid out, so picking “improve Ferro” or “improve Nico” should still affect what happens ingame - though it’s obviously confusing! I’ve sent off the corrected file so it shouldn’t be long before it’s updated to fix both issues.

Any chance there would be a Blood Money 2 or like a continuation?

I wouldn’t say never! But I don’t have plans for it at the moment, and it definitely wouldn’t be a sequel with the same character as you can end up in so many different situations at the end. I like the setting, though, and I think there’s more to explore in it.
