We’ve noticed that, yes…
I cant get my Merlin stats up enough to get a ch3 invitation, help?
If you lied about your father’s plans and didn’t marry Arthur/Elaine, that negatively affects the relationship. I’d just try to do activities with Merlin to improve his opinion of you. Take the carriage with him, help him out when you can. Forgive him at the start of chapter 3 and attend the opera with him.
If you played chapter 3 by using the skip feature, I’d suggest using the Play with + 5 to all relationships since the skip is unbalanced.
Small Update:
Little bits of content added here and there. More reactions to a few notable situations have been added. Even if you can’t change what happens, you should be able to react. New route into Kay’s romance added!
New Average Playthrough: 49’000
Update Info:
Chapter 3:
- Increased efficiency of courtship code.
- Increased limit of how many winter events you can attend. (And hopefully fixed any related bugs)
- Added choices during A/E’s duel with Accolon.
- Added choices if A/E won’t help your father.
- Added new route into Kay’s romance + extra friendship scene.
- Added a little more to two of Merlin’s one on ones.
- Added a little more to Lucan’s ride.
Update today? Nice I just discovered the game and it is great. You do a great job my friend. I especially love mental stats. Will be a bit long sorry.
I love playing intelligent character. One who can think their way through a problem and as a result I neglect physical stats a lot, but in many IF’s stat checks are primarily physical while Intelligence is just for one or two witty options and I get my ass kick in game over.
BUT I loved how high Deception and Wisdom allows MC to notice subtle things, crucial details and manipulate round table against Arthur. I literally went through first two chapters with Zero Sword and Archery but hight deception and wisdom and loved every second of it.
Thank you so much! I am very pleased that you’ve enjoyed this aspect of my game. I always worry that I neglect certain stats so am glad that this doesn’t seem to be the case.
Being able to use different stats and affect the game in various ways is a big part of what makes IF fun and provide extra variety. I don’t want it to be too stat heavy, so do try to consider how difficult a feat or insight might be to work out the requirement. I find some IFs just makes the stat requirements exponentially more difficult, which I don’t find to be necessarily realistic.
Ah, so this DOES have a forum to post in! Too used to looking for the ‘Discuss’ link thingy I suppose. Ahem.
I’ll just be up front and say, I love it thus far. It is a little weird to my head to see Elaine’s name in place of Arthur, but then again, I have watched and consumed Fate/Stay Night content, so the idea of Arthur/Artoria/Whatever Nasu says being her name still isn’t foreign to me. But still, I enjoy the interactions with her regardless.
I remember another Camelot tale where you played as Guinevere, and I recall flirting and going with Morgana in that one, but for this one, I’ve been not the best wife to be secretly courting Lunete… which has been a lot of fun, to be honest. The difference in the relationship between Elaine - being much more shy and inexperienced - and Lunete, who is far more willing to be aggressive is a lot of fun.
Since I’m not courting Lancelot, I suppose Lunete will have to be the substitute for that part of the tale though, so that might be awkward… but I can always hope to some way to keep everyone happy! I mean, Guinevere has two arms, she can have two wives, right? … Right? Ahem.
I appreciate the change that there is a ‘cheat mode’ pick early on, I haven’t tried it yet, but it’s always a welcome choice I think. I’ll probably give it a try in the near future, since I keep trying to make Guinevere good at swordplay, but I don’t think her skills have panned out as planned… but these things happen.
I’m deeply curious to see how more and more of this will unfold, especially due to its slight differences from the normal mythology (which, honestly, there’s a ton of anyway. Medieval fanfiction!). The tale normally ends quite sadly for those involved, and the prospect of being able to avoid that kind of outcome is one I hope for…!
Keeping the various looks of everyone fairly vague is an interesting choice, but I don’t mind. Though I haven’t quite worked out my mental image for Lunete still…
As a last aside, to finish my rambling, while I doubt it could ever happen, I have already wanted to imagine the forbidden gambling games with Lunete. Betting clothes and all that. But that is entirely due to my own tastes.
Speaking of, no matter what I do my stats page says that I am courting Lancelot (when I’d much rather launch him right back into that lake.) How do I get rid of this? I finally got Kay to agree to court me at the end of my last playthrough, but it still says “You are courting Lancelot.” Is it because my character doesn’t eat meat or drink alcohol? Because even though she doesn’t, she’s also Pagan and has encountered Gwydion in the woods.
It says that right at the start of the game, actually. It’s probably some flag error or something…
*if (Lunete_Court = 1)
You are secretly courting Lunete.
*if (Lunete_Court = 2)
You are discreetly courting Lunete.
*if (Kay_court = 1)
You are getting to know Kay better before committing to courtship.
*if not (Lancelot_court = 2)
You and Lancelot are courting.
*if (Lancelot_court = 1)
You and Lancelot are courting in secret.
The statement included a “not” condition, which is the reason for the logical error you are receiving. Just remove it, and everything should be okay.
Ah yes, Altria
He is sir lances a lot, he is always courting
Fixed! Sorry about that.
Thanks! It wasn’t a big deal, but I figure a teeny fix like that is probably best dealt with before the more intensive stuff is needed.
Woah what an interesting game. I loved all the options in winter! And all the intrigue sprinkled out that made me squint my eyes like “yall are sus ”
I can’t pass this page, every choice is giving me an error line 1718: Not a number: false and is freezing the game:
Did you refresh the page? Cuz I was able to pass that point. Sometimes messages pop up yet you can keep playing. It happens when I save/load.
Refreshed several times, started from a previous save, the game still freezes when I pick one of the 3 choices
Ah damn, I’m away right now so can’t check the code for a bit. I wonder if it’s because of the recent update? If anyone can play it from a new save and check?
I started a new game skipping directly to chapter 3 and there was no error this time, so I suppose the latest update broke previous saves.
Ugh I don’t know if this is a error or something but didn’t the game say once we marry Arthur or Elaine, we will be locked out of romancing Kay or Morgana, because I am highly confuse how Kay out of no where say he want to court our mc and I have literally showed no romance interest to him but this showed up and the only thing I did was just choosing to spend more time with him platonically as brother in laws and nothing more and he is suggesting coutship when I am already married to Elaine and when I weirdly chose to accept out of curiousity, Elaine was not disturbed by it all??? @Cain_Abel
