should run quicktest to catch all these coding errors.

Alright, I think I found and fixed the issue with the first one, still working on the claw machine one, unsure of what’s causing it at the moment. Thanks

Thanks, I know I probably should have been doing that but I just never got around to it, but will do

You had me at ‘cyberpunk’.

A murder mystery set in cyberpunk? Consider me sold.

I gave the demo a few reads, it’s pretty well-written, the characters are all three-dimensional and I got pretty immersed during both of my playthroughs. I also kind of like the dark undertones present in the city, provides more soul to the setting.

One question I have is that where is Albios Vertex located? At first I assumed it was in Japan (because of the technology and Nagisa) but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Is it an alternate world altogether?

I would suggest putting in a save system though, because it’s a long demo and since there are a few game-breaking bugs it, was kind of tedious getting all the way to where I was to continue after refreshing the game.

All in all, definitively a WIP I’ll be following, good luck! We do need more games in such settings here.

A few typos and a bug that I found:

A bit of excercise is good for soul, especially one as demeaned as yours…

exercise

“…I must employ your aid on a rather arduos case,” he says.

arduous

…but your complete incompetency in the art of deduction sugests that he simply enjoys your company.

suggests

…the excitement and adventure he brings into your otherwise mundane life is something you treasure, although it would not be wise of you to make this fact known to his.

I think you meant him?

“Your soul has been saved, we appreciate your coopereation.”

cooperation

“Well…I guess. Sure.” Succes!

Success

He closes his eyes and takes a death breath.

I think you meant deep breath?

“I used to find life dull and depressing but then, I discoved, if you simply look upon the world as if it were your oyster…”

discovered

Encountered a bug here if I choose Kacey’s option:

Sounds interesting I’ll keep a look on this

Thank you so much for your help! A save system does sound like a good idea, I’ll look into how to implement that. As for the location of Albios Vertex, the story does take place in an alternative world, but I envisioned a type of futuristic San Francisco type of setting in my head.

I’m always up for another good cyberpunk story, and Christmas time is a pretty rare setting. Should make for an enjoyable combo.

The premise is interesting so far, I’ll be keeping an eye on this. Imo it would be nice if there are more customizations for the MC whether in appearance or background-wise, etc. :slightly_smiling_face:

Love the story so far, but I got this error

It came up after choosing “Can we…talk?”

This was hilarious and existentially heart wrenching all at the same time! I love inspecting loneliness and the cycle of endless labor/hardship being bluntly (yet hilariously) discussed here its great. It’s like a pretty painting of a pompous lady, bright and peppy, but its tinged with a bittersweet blue. Kinda.

Anyways i loved Nagisa’s character and us being able to be a foil to her ridiculousness. (and genius? swoon what a woman~)
I’m very curious as to how a romance with L will go. Probably complicated and pretentious but also raw I assume.
All in all a fantastic preview!
