yeah, morale tanking is a huge bug, and also, i see other people saying they build stuff in the junkyard, but it seems that unless i am missing where it may be, Rachel & Jamie as leaders don’t build anything in the junkyard? unless i am totally missing something.

Thank you for giving me your honest review. I’m seeing a lot of bug reports, which is completely understandable, but I am also very interested in hearing what people think about the game itself.

I think that is something Hosted Games has to do. I will mention it to them.

Thank you so much for your review. I am glad you also felt the weight of your decisions, as that is something I have tried to achieve in all my games.

This part also has a lot of replay value. I really recommend people do an evil place through if they can stomach it.

That’s not a bug. You should be able to say no and kick him out. Lopez is getting a bit more pushy. I’m just trying not make him come off too creepy.

I definitely am working on morale. I want each item in the game to have value, and your group will use up items that have been scavenge. People collected a lot of gear in Part 2, so I tried to factor that in. Unfortunately, the math got thrown off and it is really punishing people. In the latest patch which came out today, I put a limit on morale loss as a temporary fix, but I am changing the math I used to calculate morale.

Rachel and Jamie do build things but at a much slower rate. I am going to be adding an option for nonleaders to help direct construction.

I wonder if we could build (more like designate) a compost pile in Part 4/Part 3 update. It could serve as a boost in growing vegetables and improve allegiance greatly (you are planning for the future and showing some farming know-how) and moderately improve morale (productivity of farmed vegetables increases, less waste).

I also wonder what temperature the Zeta virus dies at. If it dies at 50 degrees C or so, composting is an excellent way of disposing of the twice-killed zombies. However, there is a definite “yuck” factor, one that doesn’t exist for the zombie generator. Composting zombies is, of course, inadvisable if Zeta dies at higher temperatures than 50 degrees C.

I have a few bugs that I would like to report: When I am assigning the tasks Rosie’s name does not appear even though I have her in the group. Another happens when I’m creating the infirmary, no matter how many people I assign, or how many times I do it, I never complete that construction, I even put Gina and Woody together three times and nothing. Another one in the museum battle, I shoot Cruz and kill him but right away it shows me another text telling me to fail, the last one happens at the end, I see Drake in the Silverstone camp canteen and there is even an option to talk to him and his leader but the problem is that he died in the battle of the museum in that game, June killed him, in fact there is also another one where if I shoot one of the motorcyclists I kill him but later they tell me that he is alive and that he even manages to flee from the museum I recommend that you take a good look at the whole museum part in general as there were many other bugs there that I can’t remember at the moment. In spite of everything, part 3 is fun and full of varied interactions, which makes it my second favorite part after part 1, and with that I would just like to ask two questions that I hope someone can answer me, whoever, what exactly should I do to capture Benton in part 2? Also, is it possible to save Nora from her heart attack or is it a programmed death? This is the first time I’ve used this forum so I don’t know if this is the right thread.

Wow, I was not expecting some huge changes from the public demo. Part 3 is amazing and has a lot of replayability. I have bought the full game(bonus points and everything) and am having an absolute blast. Once again proving how ZE is one of the best games on COG. Thank you and I look forward to future parts and your other projects!
For bugs, there is a a one during the Museum shootout where Cruz is still alive even after you killed them. I think everyone here has pointed out the others major ones.

To capture Benton, you first need to attack the Silverthornes at the end of Part 2 when the meeting goes downhill. Then, you need to lay down suppressive fire with a moderate-high (or more) Ranged Weapons stat (Reilly will search for and capture the fleeing Benton). I think you can catch him if you search for him in the woods with a high Hand-to-Hand combat stat, but I have never tried that route (usually if I start the fight and search for Benton, I kill him) so I don’t know if that’s a thing.

Also Nora is a scripted death, confirmed upthread.

You can also capture Benton if (the groups do not fight and you are not held by Keith) or (if you are hidden in the woods). In that scenario if your allegiance is below 70, Reilly will start to chase the Silverthornes on his own and capture Benton regardless if you stay in camp or chase after Reilly or chase after the Silverthornes with Reilly.

However there is a bug in the game where if in this scenario you do chase after Reilly or chase after the Silverthornes with Reilly the game does not actually consider it as capturing Benton even though the sentences show Reilly capturing him.

Drake also does not actually die in the museum fight. In that scenario where Jude shoots him it only shows Drake taking cover after getting shot it does not show him dying.

Is Rosie hurt? You can’t assign hurt survivors to tasks.

Also, Lopez invited my MC to dance with him and the game said that, if I wanted, that could lead to something more. I was shocked because I thought he was gay! I’m not romancing Jamie either. Is this normal or a bug?

I’m loving this game :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: though I wish there were save points, because it’s very frustrating when you die and have to restart since the beginning. Lots of love! :heart:

Thanks to those who told me how to capture Benton, I’ve been trying for days, however I found another bug when doing it, despite the fact that I looked for him by the forest and managed to catch him by knocking him out, in the next chapter (the third) it appears to me as if I would have fled. If you can fix this I would really appreciate it.

Lopez is a Kinsey 4/5 ;). He will be attracted to female MCs, if the relationship stat is high enough. (There may be other conditions)

Hey guys was wondering if anyone else was experiencing this, so had the same deaths as everyone else, Driver, Church, Nora etc. But one death that i got that ive seen no one talk about was Gina, she died for me and no one seemed to react which i thought was very odd, she has had a threeway relationship between me and jillian since we met her and suddently she dies and there was no reaction, im wondering if this is due to building up defenses? Everytime i assigned someone to the job it wouldnt get completed, i had a greenhouse try to get built over the entirety of part 3 and it never finished. Lemme know if Gina died for you guys aswell or if it was a glitch

Am I stupid, or is the moral system from chapter 9/10 broken?

Relationship penalties seem harsh, too. I lose about 10 points “every day” with everyone. Is that normal?
For example Woody fell from 78 to 66 after getting Rachel’s summary. Is the relationship loss tied to moral?

so, i know i brought it up already and it was answered already, but, I really think there should be a prompt to let you know when something is being built by the colony leader just so you know what is being built. Also, you said they build slowly. how slow? etc. would be nice to have an eta thing just to know. because as far as i can tell, nothing is finished by the end of the part when being built by Rachel or Jamie.

Also, you said a patch came out/is coming out, was/will that be on PC also?

Overall I’m really enjoying the game so far, congrats on publishing again! The original zombie exodus from 2011 was one the first text based games I ever played, so I’m always excited to see a new addition to the series. There are a few things that I’ve noted during my play-through that I did want to share.

  1. Some items, like vitamins, completely disappear from my inventory. Other items, like painkillers, begin to have odd values as the amount. For example, my painkiller value at one point was 165.666667

  2. Earlier, my character died at the military depot after walking into a glass structure in the lab. I found this death to be oddly jarring. Perhaps it’s the order I preformed actions in, but one moment I was confused about what ‘behind the glass’ meant, and the next I was dead with no understanding of why or what happened. After a long play-through, that can be upsetting and it can feel like time wasted. Would it be possible to add a button to go back to before death?

Do morale penalties nuke relationships? Half of the group hates me when I had excellent relationships with them at the end of Part 2. Also it seems odd that morale makes them hate you if you aren’t actually in charge.

How many new recruits did you guys get? I got the main ones, Jude, Fred, Sean, Billie, The teens, and the silverhorne deserters, but was wondering if there was any secret ones or lesser known?

Did you go through the decontamination process and put the hazmat suit on?

Hah, I got the same ending in the first time playing that part when Part 3 was a demo. Basically, the glass enclosure was heavily contaminated by the zombie virus, hence you have to put on the hazmat suit before going in, otherwise it’s an instant death. In order to figure out it was contaminated, you need to use a light source and examine the scientific notebook at the start, and it’ll give you a warning.
