Zombie Exodus: Safe Haven: Part Four Discussion Thread

Has anyone discovered if the new ahem addition is possible to any other ROs aside from Jillian?

What about Female MC x Male RO?

What about other RO’s? Specifically Kelly and Bailey.

it won’t let me continue the story, i’ve tried every option lol

There’s a bug at the end of the part where you can drink with the Red Mambas. If you select to do a shot per question, seems to skip all questions and end the encounter with the MC drunk.

Really enjoyed part 3 btw!

In my game Nora was not listed as unavoidable.

In my game, Nora was also not listed as unavoidable.

I finished Part 3 officially now (with military commander!PC, who romanced Tommy, and had a dog and nephew), and I really really really enjoyed the Safe Haven mission and reuniting with Col.Faulkner. It would be nice if Col. Faulkner had a visible relationship because it appears that he might play a role in the game to come–it would be nice if all of the factions (RMBC, River Dogs, Silverthornes, and NA) had a relationship value listed, not just the New Army via Goodman.

I also enjoyed recruiting Jude–the guy seems to be taking rather well to being in a group, for someone who would rather have jumped off the department store roof than do so in Part 2. He also seems to have found a niche in the group. Seeing the neighbors is also nice–I am sad that Fred could not keep Booger with him, but I am wondering what fireworks will occur between Jaime and Sean (I need to move a non-leader playthrough forward so that my character doesn’t break the tension for group cohesion as soon as he gets wind of it). The other new characters were also interesting to meet–I wonder how Alison and Augustus and the Silverthorne defectors will turn out, and if we will re-meet Laurel in Part 3–she knows where we are, and it would be nice to have a nurse for the infirmary, and a potential relationship for Reilly when MC is not with him. I was hoping that we could find Sharif and Ayana as well as Kent and Ed’s family at the end of Part 3. It’s nice to play a PC that is happy to take in others so long as they pull their weight, while still being a benevolent leader. Now I have to play a less-friendly PC.

Regarding the base camp itself, I hope that we can potentially build a water pump or water tower in the future (hey, maybe one of the ex-Silverthornes is another craftsperson!), or even a pipe to draw water out of the lake–I have managed to build a greenhouse, a chicken coop, a vegetable garden, and as of the end of part 3 am working on a farm plot, which makes food secure, but there is no way to really deal with the comparatively low water supplies in the same way. I also cannot wait for when the watch towers are added to the game (and the Junkyard becomes a castle). The construction glitch (where buildings such as the Infirmary were taking more than 1 cycle to be built without explicitly stating that it takes > 1 cycle) also seems fixed. I also wonder if PC might be able to take shifts/assign shifts in farming/animal raising if and when those buildings go up.

The romances are looking really great in part 3–Tommy’s seems very fleshed out and enjoyable in Part 3. It’s also nice to see that the nephew is acknowledged (he isn’t acknowledged in the first possible Part 3 romance scene, but he is noted in later romantic moments). It’s nice to see the consequences of PC’s means of handling his grief playing out. I wonder if we could give the clothing we found in the farmhouse to Brody, Jaime, and Kelly in part 3.

Thank you so much @JimD for making a wonderful game!

Ya I also have this problem.

Also I think you should update the context of your game on the Google Play Store:

Got the same problem, is it supposed to happen? Almost everyone in the group hates me now except for the nephew

It’s a bug. When you do not do your task your relationship goes down with everyone. When you do your task your relation goes down with everyone even more. I’m pretty sure the relationship is supposed to increase when you do your task.

Having completed my first full play-through (with an imported customized male military commander MC, leading the group, with a nephew and dog, in a romance with Rachel,) the first thing I have to say is that the core story in Part 3 thus far is absolutely gripping, in my opinion.

So many decisions, especially those regarding leading the whole group or contact with other groups, felt they had huge weight and consequence. I was constantly wondering while playing if my latest choice was a mistake, whether I was inviting trouble down the road, whether I was inadvertently dooming someone or everyone in my group of plucky survivors, my people, to suffering and death. This gave every horror faced and every success achieved great pull on the emotions. Nothing was as simple as I thought it might be, and I’m still puzzling over implications right now. This gripping narrative pulled me to the edge of my seat until the end of Part 3, and now the main thing I’m thinking is: “Do it again. That was awesome.”

No game is perfect, and there are some bugs I’ll point out another time, as well as some questions I’d like to ask, but I think I’ll also gush a lot about great bones and what else I liked as well. Zombie Exodus Safe Haven Part 3 has exceeded my expectations, as I can’t wait to play again and see what’s next. Awesome work.

I was thinking maybe adding a vehicle references could be good since there’s alway so many choices and i’m not knowledgable enough to know which one is best for the mission

I’ve taken the one of the foot soldier who is empathetic to pain but also intimidating when interrogating an enemy, will I see if I can recruit more characters to the party like the lab guy?

I’m doing a playthrough where I’m romancing Jaime. My MC is a straight Female with Con Artist BG so her persuasion is naturally high, I’m friends with everybody except Bailey but I’ve only flirted with Jaime and he’s my only LI in this playthrough. Still before I’m going to sleep with Jaime, Lopez always barge into the room and says that the three of us could have some fun together. Is that supposed to happen? Because I know he’s gay and needs a high persuasion and friendship to romance, but I never flirted with him.

I wanna start by saying I’m loving part 3 so far! My only complaint is that it seems nearly impossible to keep group morale up. I understand Nora, Driver, Church, and Eli dying would tank morale, but it seems nearly impossible to raise it up as I’m losing 100 or so each day while gaining none. Also, is it possible to keep Reilly from killing Murphy?

He also does it the other way round. If you’re romancing Lopez, he tricks Jaime into the room one night to try a get a threesome.

If you get Murphy to come back to you first (because you asked for food or to know about him), you can knock him out and leave him (or talk him into letting you free, or kill him yourself), and then release Reilly, Madison, and Laurel yourself.

Also, I think the morale drop is a glitch–after sorting the food, power, and security situations, we shouldn’t be hemorrhaging it like we do (some loss every cycle is fine, but 100+ morale drop in one cycle should be reserved for really messing up a base defense). That, and I don’t think binoculars should be consumed (most normal binoculars are not battery operated or anything).

Yo, does morale effect your relationship with people?Because I swear after everyday everyone just hates me even though I do my task.Yet morale is super low so idk if that plays a part in relationship.Other then that though I have been having a blast with part 3!

Got a glitch on the first game: when I start it up, I get 'The game has updated. Restarting Chapter" with a mostly blank screen and none of the buttons work.

The original Zombie Exodus?

That’s right
