I note that there are cute scenes you can do with the survivors (swimming with Tommy and Lopez, playing ball with Brody, Tommy, and Kevin), but this doesn’t seem to be available for the team leader. Is this a deliberate choice to give non-leaders something extra to do, or should there be a way for leaders to get these scenes? (Also a little disappointed that we can’t choose to skinny dip this time… :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: )

EDIT: Also, checking the code, I see that Kevin can offer to help with the work here, but this won’t come up unless none of the other characters want to hang out with you (so I assume it’ll probably be missed by most players). Would it make sense to have this moved into the actual Kevin conversation, especially it the MC is the team leader?

Sadly, I didn’t get much time to spend on this, or read through the thread more. Others may have already pointed this out, but if you are trying to pursue a relationship with Kelly, Rosie or Gina, and sharing a room…nothing much happens. Kelly only gets a line or two, while Gina gets a few more.

Even if nothing sexual happens, allowing something a bit more intimate would be good like talk, etc. Not doing so makes it feel a bit sparse. I realize this will probably be added later, but it does feel weird when they kiss/caress/etc. the player in passing in a previous passage.

Finally, if possible, if you initiate things, Madison feels pressured, and makes a comment about ‘a whore like Jillian?’ A response along the lines ‘don’t speak about her like that’ would be great.

For that matter, if the player also acts interested in Jillian, Madison saying something along the lines of ‘you should invite her to stay with you instead’ could also be good.

I notice that when you’re not the leader there are no option to make improvements at the junk yard like the lab, garden,… i think there should be a choice to suggest these improvements to Rachel or Jaime

Yes, you can continue to have a relationship with her. Who knows? Maybe things will change in the future.

No, I just forgot to add it.

What would you like to know?

I have noticed in some games where you have a significant optional character type, such as leader, there is very little for nonleaders. It should not be a lack of content, but a different style of play. So I want to give nonleaders other activities that make the story special for them.

Well I still have time to add new options!

Yes that’s a good point. Thank you, fellow game designer.

I definitely agree. Conversations and specific content with some NPCs hasn’t made it in yet but this is a great reminder.

Great idea.

Yes, I will definitely add this.

A reminder, for each choice you add like a garden or whatever, remember to add the opposite feeling that the player can think or even oppose to certain areas or buildings.

For instance a writing club or a movie club could be something many people would consider a waste and something bad for the group.

Many writers forgot the importance of let the player say No to options and have scenes of the pc saying No and discuss.

I thought that was the reason, but I’m pretty certain there were options for leaders in those scenes in the code…

This is a great suggestion, but I don’t remember any of the building options being frivolous or unhelpful(If there are list them for me please). Also, I think this should apply to our group members as well, there’s no reason to believe that every member in our group would be alright with what we decide to build. I can already see Jamie, Parker and maybe Dante having a gripe about using Zombie Joe as a security guard dog, or energy source. Also, I’d rather use Pastor Joe as a watch dog than our actual dog in the event our dog gets murdered by a hostile group for trying to protect us.

Now that I think about it there’s a large amount of people that Madison doesn’t like, has a grievance with or talks shit about.

  1. Rosie(for shooting her)
  2. Driver for also being a bandit
  3. Possibly doesn’t like Jamie for defending the people who tried to kill her and her brother.
  4. Sees Kelly as stupid for bringing the Silverthornes to camp
  5. Frequently argues with Reilly because he picks on her for being a rich teen.
  6. Now doesn’t like Jillian for her sexual activity
  7. Sees Tommy as a mentally unstable mess and doesn’t want to end up like him.

Speaking of Rosie and Driver, do you think Jillian and Madison will ever forgive Rosie and Driver ? Or do you think there will always be animosity towards them and possibly another murder attempt ? Yeah the MC and Jamie told them to let it go, but that doesn’t mean they will.

It is not in the game, It was a general rule of thumb for me. For each choice to do, there has to be a choice to at least show a desire of not doing or hating that stuff.

Now that Rachel isn’t a teen RO, will our following interactions simply become platonic in Part 3? Is it possible to start something again during Part 3 or is any romance with her not possible at this time? I ask because the teen-Rachel relationship is, even after she speaks to the player, very vague.

So far I’m of the mindset that Rachel doesn’t love the teen MC at all and is just using them to increase her standing in the group so people will listen to her more instead of Jamie and teen MC. When it comes to the adult MC, I think she might have genuine feelings for them, but is struggling between her & doing what she feels is necessary to make sure the group survives.

On a side note he is loyal to u and trusts your judgment. With all that investment in training u have a personal bodyguard and a loyal subject giving one hell of an advantage.

The author said the unique challenges u have can benefit u whatever it is. I’m gonna turn him in to my bodyguard. He’s cute, charming and funny which is why I take him everywhere

I’ve headcanoned that at a high relationship, her view of the PC (regardless of romance status) is of an actual friend (from there, romance can blossom for real if the playthrough is that way inclined) rather than a useful person (or fighting/working hands or useful idiot to straight up idiot at low relationship levels), because PC is pragmatic and insightful (probably even picking up on the fact that she knows much more than she lets on) while not abandoning their humanity.

Madison is the only character that I can’t stand. Not too big a fan of Kevin either. They’re perfect for eachother.

How come? Just out of curiosity.

Jim will there be special interactions with platonic roommates?

I have always had mixed feelings about Madison. I don’t hate her, but it’s the little things she does/says that rub me the wrong way.

Like for example, she is putting up the whole “I am a super practical survivor who has no problem doing what must be done” act, but refuses to volunteer for watch duty.

Even Brody volunteers. (I am pointing this out because you can argue that is due to her being a rich teen, but Brody had the exact same upbringing, yet here he is completely willing to step up).

Also, the comment Madison makes about Tommy just doesn’t sit right with me. What gives her the right to judge him and shit talk him like that? No.

I think of Madison as a potential psychopath by observing her behavior(s). I have no doubt that she would make an excellent zombie killing machine. But hey, that’s just my personal opinion.

I kinda relate to madison, she was raised in an environment where gal had to hide certain aspects of herself in fear of ridicule to and be deemed acceptable, i can see how the high pressure of image in a highschool environment and home can get to her.
I think the reason why madison’s more harsher(?) Than brody is cause of her gender, for example madison was a cheerleader, a sport where appearence and aesthetic takes priority while brody was in the swim team, which relies more on skill than appearence, hence making her take her image more seriously and be more defensive on things.
She shows remorse and sees how wrong she felt for conforming to the popular girl image. She understands brody’s naivety despite his desire to be the brave and heroic type, i feel like she adopted and absorbed this persona to protect and kinda balance out brody. I think Madison’s mostly aware about her agressiveness, it just comes down on how she processes and expresses this.
I think her bad mouthing tommy and jillian was a because she’s scared of being like them or seen like them (bad or weak) and tries to distance herself from their behaviour by putting them down.
Also if you say “i feel nothing” when asked about the highschool Madison’s actually understanding on why you feel thay way and respects that you’re being honest about your feelings.
Anyways sorry for the rant, i’m not trying to justify Madison’s pragmatic and disrespectful actions, im trying to say that how she feels and acts is understandable and valid for someone in her posistion.
