On day 1 of the outbreak, you should see the option to scout the area around your home. Doing so will provide you with the option to visit the three-story home with the light flashing in the window. You should be given a prompt to take a generator home or leave it there after looting second floor.
Thanks I was stuck on trying to get it while avoiding looting but I guess not
I believe I may have found a bug. Even though my laptop is powered, I still cannot contact Julianne or Deter.
Based on the screenshot above, I believe the issue stems from the check to be able to contact them not having the correct code.
It should be â*if laptop_powered = trueâ instead of just â*if laptop_poweredâ.
Edit: Listen to Eiwynn. The correct code is what she said.
Great catch, however, I believe the correct code should be: *if (laptop_powered)
From the Wiki:
I have a weird question for you guys!
Obviously everyone here loves the game, and from what Iâve seen itâs very popular. Still, I didnât play it (as in, any Zombie Exodus game) because I usually donât like games others than fantasy (I donât consider zombie apocalypse to be fantasy, but rather disaster type, unless itâs in a fantasy setting, but I donât believe this one is), super-hero or sci-fi related, at least in some aspects. And zombie apocalypses are not my thing either, overall.
But well, Iâm intrigued considering the popularity, so well⌠Do you think a person who doesnât care about the zombie theme, and who usually plays genres other than survival could still like the game? What aspects of the game are important, other than the zombie and survival parts?
Thanks!
I hate zombie games. This one and Telltale first season are the only ones I love. Here the important are characters and relationships.
My advice is to play the demo with a cat or a dog and the dependent children. You have a lot of freedom, and customization if you want.
I always forget about demos being a thing even for completed games. I guess Iâll check one out.
How heavily does the game rely on stat checks? I tend to prefer story and RP driven games.
I roleplay characters with zero combat. You have a big flexibility to play as you want if you donât care about not gaining all stats checks. The story is big in this but is a role game.
If you want a game more focused on the story without crafting and all that. I recommend you Zombie Exodus the first game that share lore with this one but is in a entirely different city.
What I like most is, that with a different background a lot changes in the game. And you always have a lot of possibilities how to get things done. And the characters feel alive.
What kind of backgrounds can you have?
There are a lot more than 10. Teen, College student, engineer, soldier, doctor , nurse house person, con artist, policeman, bank robber, Hollywood artist. mix marcial fighterâŚ
Wow, thatâs a lot!
But wait, doesnât being a teen lock you out of romances?
You have teen romances until game you reach 18. you are 17 in two first parts.
Then you can add perks at your characters from fear to highs to be vegetarian,
That is also where you choose to have a pet and/or a nephew.
I find myself very tempted to actually play a teen, if I try it out. If the backgrounds actually play a significant role, that may be interesting if most of the cast are adults.
Do it! Teen is a fun background. Plus, Teen has two unique ROs.
I think someone who isnât that into zombies can still find enjoyment out of this game. Itâs mostly all from creating your character and interacting with the world around you. Youâll especially see this later on in the game as you deal with the both the inner workings of your survivor group and dealing with other survivor groups.
Then again, Iâm also not really a fan of zombie games. Could never really get into stuff like Left 4 Dead 2 or the Telltale games stuff or The Last Of Us. The only real zombies games I ever liked are Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead (less of a zombie game and more of a general apocalypse game but itâs still got zombies in it) and Zombie Exodus: Safe Haven.
@Konoi â I think you will like the âjourneyâ involved with the characters you interract with.
I do think you would enjoy the Safe Haven story more than the first, because the second has more character exploration available in general.
Hmm I see. Well, from what I gather the zombie aspect wonât detract me from the character arcs and the personal journey. I guess between what you two said and the peope before you, that makes me interested enough. I guess I can make these my next purchase, though Iâll probably check the demo right before getting it, just in case (I prefer not to play it now since I canât purchase right now and if I like it a lot Iâll be antsy waiting).
Thanks again!
