Zombie Exodus: Safe Haven General Discussion (Part 3 beta coming in December)

I normally don’t play with skills as is funnier for me otherwise. I bought them as a way give Jim a extra buck.
But I have one of two extra skills characters and it can be a fun playthrough too.

Yes obviously, if I don’t want to use it for my character, I don’t have to. I already said that I only use this if it makes sense to the character I’m trying to create and it was my personal preference to do it that way in no way shape or form was I saying nor did I ever say people shouldn’t use 50-75 skill points and that isn’t something I’d say to anybody ever, it’s their damn game and they can create characters however they wish it’s not negatively impacting me so I honestly don’t care. I don’t even know why or how this conversation got to the point of people debating/defending the use of 50-75 skill points and that they can see it used for a variety of characters. Because I wasn’t trying to start a debate, I was simply stating my methodology on character creation in this game and how I choose to use or don’t use the extra skill points based on what I feel is appropriate for my characters.

@unoriginal_username I wasn’t targeting you or addressing you specifically, you did nothing wrong, I was agreeing with what you said and also restating my opinion and stating my frustration about how this conversation got to this point.

A question if any of you were in the roof of a shed trying to snipe one objective about 150 metres from the objective what of the weapons from first part could be most accurate.

The distance isn’t too long, so your choice of weapons are a bit varied.

If you want absolute accuracy, definitely the M24 Sniper. But most of the other rifles-AR-15, Arsenal AK and Springfield M1903, to name a few-should be more than adequate for the task, provided you have a scope attached onto them.

Mara is sniping Driver from a roof nearby shed when zombies starting to arrive so is a shot and try to avoid the zombies

Since Driver’s gonna be near a zombie horde (and zombie’s are probably gonna be all around the place in general), I’d highly recommend a suppressor. Guns aren’t exactly know for being quiet, and alerting all the zombies in a 5 mile radius is something you do not want.

Is there any information about the Dead Zone spin-off?

Yes, information about the spin-off was revealed via the newsletters. Which is why I highly recommend signing up so you can receive info about what’s going on with his current projects as well as future ones.
Since you don’t have them here’s the summary provided from the newsletter sent 7/5/18:

“Set five years after the apocalypse, Zombie Exodus: Dead Zone sees your character surviving the harsh wilderness of Oregon as you search for a new place to call home. Discover the shattered world that remains, crawling with infected zombies, bandits, disease, all-new challenges that will push survivors to their limits, and the mysterious dead zones: large swathes of land devoid of zombies but teeming with new infected life. Craft, scavenge, and fight your way to a rumored society springing from the ashes of civilization, where you can make new allies, deal with new foes, discover the secrets of the apocalypse, become a scavenger, rise to leadership, start a rebellion, defect to new groups, and most importantly…survive.”

It’s funny cause, I got tired after awhile of the zombie genre, but I think Twd show got better and Jimd is making me hyped for zombie exodus, so I’m starting to like the apocalyptic genre again.

The funny thing is I don’t like Zombie stuff Except Romero’s movies and 4 first seasons of TWD so my love for the genre is in reality a love for @JimD working basically

Twd has It’s ups and down, lately It’s been getting good again, even though

SPOILERS :

Rick Grimes leaving the show certainly leaves a big hole.

I just realized that I do like the male characters a lot more than most of the female ones. Not only as a RO but also as friends. From the male ones there is only Church that I do not like. With the female ones I really like only Nora. Madison is most times ok, and Gina might be fun. Bailey is aside from RO quite boring, Rachel is only manipulating us, even with a nice MC, Jillian is meh, Kelly dumb. Rosie might be cool but I will wait til part 3 to jugde her, since there are only few opportunities to get to know her^^
Strange thing.

I think I’ll have to agree with you there. The ladies do trend more toward being rather forgettable.

Same here. Actually for me it’s only @JimD’s ZE games the only “zombie stuff” I like.

Is it too naive to hope for her falling in love with us or accept us as friend (if we don’t do her romance route) even tho she originally might have intented to only manipulate us, bc of our likeable personality and bc the things MC and she have to go through together did bring us closer to eachother?

Anyway for me I guess the interesting female characters are:
-Rachel: Tbh I think the manipulating stuff just makes her more interesting. Differs her from other ROs who fall head over heels for MC the moment they look at MC, just bc they are the MC. Okay, I exaggerated here.
-Madison: So far she seems to be the most fleshed out female RO?
-Gina: Not as RO tho, more like a friend for my MC.
-Nora: Not an RO obviously, but she is an awesome old lady imo. Tho tbh here her openly flirting with Dante sometimes makes me cringe. Okay I get it just bc she is old doesn’t means she also became a nun, but it’s still more on the uncomfortable side for me? Also makes me wonder, how old is Dante?

The others:
-Jillan: Kinda hard to make up my mind about her. Sometimes she also tries to manipulate MC to get what she wants, but her attempts at it even worse than Rahcels even tho she is supposed to be a con artist. But I think she is okay by me.
-Kelly: I agree with you, she is dumb.
-Bailey: Kinda on the boring side for me.
-Rosie: I’m also holding back judgement here until we see more of her in part 3.

Guess I didn’t leave anyone out.

I think is a coincidence In first ZE most of interesting characters were women. Here I agree with you about men in general, are more interesting I fleshed out. Madie is for me clearly the better female in romance by far. The others are for me totally lame. Bailey is not a well-developed personality. Compare him with Tommy the male equivalent and the difference between them in terms of it and quality is clear.

However in-game time has passed only a week in new part with more time the girls could get lot of exposure and growing up as characters

It is interesting that people keep mentioning Maddie.

Why? Nora is the only other girl that feels real and with Emotions. Madie has a personality has clearly desires and goals and objectives

I feel to old to romance Maddie :joy:
