Beside running and hoping we will never cross paths again, this is what I’d try to go for. Rather than fighting a potentially stronger group. Tho the risk with trying to pacify them is when they’d decide that being allies (as much as that’s possible) isn’t good enough rather they want to fully subdue our group, so we would definitely have to watch our back.

Well I would imagine we would have to watch our backs, just because we manipulated them in order for them not to see us as an enemy at the moment doesn’t mean our work would be over. Also, I’d never trust a stranger or person from another group until I have been around them and their group for along period of time, or they’ve done multiple thingsto earn my trust so, I’d be distrustful of them regardless.

However… Keith proposes MARA BE A FARMER SLAVE and then He doesn’t consider her Pretty evwn if Mara is by stats Prettier than Kelly. So MARA IS PISSED MODE . For the record he said you’d start out as a farmer or laborer, until they get a bead on your actual skills then you’d be promoted to a role that matches your skills. He didn’t say being a laborer was going to be a permanent position for you. I don’t think It was a personal attack against you, it seems to be their procedure for recruiting people, and the leader just so happens not to receive special treatment.

She’s like that with a male MC too, You kiss her and she’s not actually into it. You have her join your tent and she refuses to touch you. Only thing that makes me think she’s a good RO is because nephew likes her, she’s a badass fighter. And she’s apparently beautiful (In a house wife kinda way)

I just can’t romance someone that find me repulsive and physically unpleasant and is scared of ever touching me. I felt like a bullie or a bad person just for kiss my supposed gf so I break up because she hates me. I want ro someone who feel attracted to me both physical and romantically or only romantically. Rachel was neither. It was interested in Mara to obtaining info not in Mara herself

My character is like that too as leader. Cheery, Confident, and Determined. Yet my character doesn’t shoulder all the burden on himself. He and his advisors(Jaime and Rachel) work together on making plans but when it comes to situations that require quick wit, my character knows it’s up to him and him alone to do this and he knows he’ll succeed.
What if in Part 3 Rachel confesses an attraction to Keith and the pair of you end up fighting over him 
only to be let down because Kelly is the love of his life.

The Mara that romanced Rachel was not real Mara. It was Testing Mara. Real Mara is not in love with Keith just want a banging day and then screw him bad poisoning way. So Rachel could have him in hell or something because he won’t live long after call mara a Farmer. It is just personal after that.

Why fight him over some sappy soap opera conflict when the perfectly good reason of “He’s an asshole, I want to kick his teeth in” is right there?
Unless you’re treating Kelly like absolute garbage, I doubt she’d choose a guy she just met over the person who took her into the group and possibly helped her out in the first book.
