What i don’t like of Jaime. Is that is force upon us like a friend. And has zero personality. Mara calls himTeddy bear Jaime. She has very bad concept of him. Still he is terrible useful so she fakes being his friend. It is apparently a no personality npc put there to be our puppy sidekick.

I say apparently because is @JimD we are talking about and the scene in the school building. So i hope that Jaime has a secret that will can discover. However i will never romance him I don’t like romance him as he is too dominant for me or for Mara. Relationship would ended in five seconds with Mara swearing and told him could command his hand because Mara is not her slave.

Uh, you can try but you’d need to get through at least half of the group to do so. I can’t see Woody, Church, Brody, Lopez, the nephew and probably even Rachel being okay with executing the people-person of the group for no reason.

I have turned Rachel and Jaime against each other. And believe me if you are dark side group dynamics are different. Still i think person mire difficult to execute is Jaime. Being Rachel easier. If you like Mara has played your cards right. Nobody in my group trusts her and everyone thinks she is a spy and couls turning against us.

That’s one beauty of this game the different games dynamics. From Parker to Rachael . How you behave and how you do change the group more than most people believe.
Reason why people that only plays Goodie can’t understand why people who don’t hate certain characters. Because they have only saw always nice scenes and nice behaviour from those npc. So don’t get that for more evil characters that npc is very very different. That’s a big quality design from Jim.

Has anyone had the strange experience of Parker liking your dog in the scene when you just talk to him and afterwards, when you train your dog he acts as if he does not even want to pat him? Had that today, this was a bit weird^^.

The character I like the less is probably Church. I do not like this preaching things he does not really tends to himself, also seeing all fault in Pastor church and none in his wife is hm … weird. Otherweise it is quite difficult for me to not like someone^^ so I do not have problems with most people, it is the same with me in real life. It is quite easy for someone to get me to like them, I like a lot of people, characters and traits. Getting me to trust you is a very different matter, of course.

Well if you have high enough intimidation you could. Their was a scene were if you did not have high enough allegiance you could hold wepons at them and no one does anything. I really want more scenes like that not just for leader with low leadership skill. So In my dictatorship you can come into my group but no one ever leave. At least alive. Point is we could execute Jamie and kelly. No one would do anything. My dictator is afraid of no one cuz he has high combat skills

If Jaime is too bossy for Mara, then why does she like “join us or die” Keith so much?

The sexual attractiveness of a bad guy confident you could be passionate with. Jaime has the boring dominance of a old bear with zero passion.
Also Mara loves the idea of turn a person like Keith in her toy and then throwing him away.

I haven’t said that it was a sane relationship or logical. Is sexual attraction that doesn’t have to go with healthy relationship and logic. lol

Well for me I don’t like Gina. She is just trying too hard to fit in the group and she blatantly got close to my nephew. Sure, I pity her not getting kids but don’t target my nephew. I got him to reject getting candy from Thelma. Why now he is okay with Gina… even calling her aunt… bleh… Glad I can tell her off with taking care of my nephew. I just wish my nephew was not so open to her, it annoys me.

Oh and did anyone notice that if your a bank robber and you ask for your share of money it does not count on your total money. I just disappears.

Jamie was a transitional character in Part One - needed to establish the baselines for the MC’s journey to the Zombie Exodus world. To get the Safe Haven cycle going, Jamie, Woody and the MC had to form a sort of trifecta of solid story mechanics and themes.

In Part Two, mechanics and themes were established, Jamie was not needed to be as central, so other NPC characters could be further developed and everyone could be (re) introduced to some of the NPCs other than Jamie and Woodie that have their own stories to tell.

I am confident Part Three will see further development, not only of the current NPCs but I have a feeling a few new NPC characters introduced will be embraced by everyone (or at least I hope so  )

I do suggest waiting to pass judgement on Jamie - he is more complicated and there is more than you have seen to him as of now but because of his role in the game, in part one, Jim was more restricted with him than he will be in the future.

I understand the initial purpose he served in part 1 but as time went on and I started to disagree with him about keeping Rosie and Driver announcing my plans to become a raider it made less and less sense why he’d want to be friends or why there hasn’t been a substantial change in our relationship especially since what I’m doing should remind him of Dillan whom he hated. The most memorable form of protest on Jaime’s part that comes to mind is,if you threaten the family in the grocery store. (I’m sure there are others but I can’t recall them right now.)

You are asking Mara to wait to judge really??? Nah. Mara was Teddy bear friend because he helped with the parole and the whole night contacts. Now she uses him as canon folder as he is usable… his usefulness is dropping as he can’t get what RAIDER MEANS he voted for it however he doesn’t get it.

mara plan turn him against Rachel and make her killing him.
Still I understand Jim main concern is goodies so i hope he could with my help adding some evilness without to much effort for his part. He let me kill Emma so I know he will deliver

Well, in the code he starts to get uncomfortable around you if your relationship deteriorates to >40. Based on what @Eiwynn said and there already were signs of the group tension slowly building, I’m guessing we will have to choose side come part three (some of our characters doesn’t exactly get along with each others)

Of course, planning and actually implementing the ideas are two different things. Like I was so looking forward to bringing rachel to every mission  jim even held a “which question to ask rachel” poll

did anyone stumble upon any new contents for rachel? We get to talk to jillie and even go with her to a mission but none for clever kitty???

I plan to recruit kent and his friends in the future, seems like a nice, highly skilled guy

That’s why “accidents” happen especially in this setting. Like when Rosie “accidently” got kicked into the arms of a dozen zombies was devoured by them shortly afterwards or when Church was “accidently” mistaken for a zombie and shot in the back of the head with a sniper rifle and the hoard unfortunately devoured his corpse so we were unable to give him a proper burial. It was… tragic.

Yeah I want to go on a mission with him so I feel better about him being in the group because, I still don’t like him and I question why he’s with us even after this update.

I’m curious how would you prefer she act as it relates to trying to earn her keep ? Keep in mind she doesn’t know you and has very little reason to doubt that you would kick her out if she wasn’t willing to solidify her place in the group. Even if she appears overeager, she’s still trying to be helpful/useful so you potentially don’t kick her out.

I haven’t been able to find him as an enjoyable friend/companion and while I understand the importance of his role in part 1, I just haven’t been able to connect to him or see him as the “best friend” he’s supposed to be and any attempt to reinforce that idea just doesn’t stick with me it does the opposite. He doesn’t even make a good morality pet for me like the nephew does because a lot of the time I just don’t care about his opinion of me even if the game says the MC does or might I the player just role my eyes and try to connect with anyone other than him. I actually think I have a better friendship with Woody because it feels actually Organic while Jaime’s does not to me.

To be fair, it’s only been a week. I think he’ll turn against us if we keep going against his morals, but it’s a gradual process. Unless he catches us outright murdering someone.

And he actually strikes me as a nice friend to have. Rachel’s secretive; Woody, Madison and Jillian are very cynical; Reilly and Brody are sort of impulsive/broody (Broody Brody!); Nora, Kelly and Parker can be a bit…snappy, and the others are kind of quiet. But Jaime just seems like a nice, even-tempered guy who’s easy to talk to.

That’s a theory that only works if you play goodie. The problem is UNANIMOUS vote to becoming Raiders with the ultra aggressive dialogue. Then He pouts like a hypocrisy filled lady OH MY GOOD YOU ARE RAIDING THOSE GUYS…

Jaime darling we are called The kitty raiders. Why don’t you stop looking my cleverage and you heard what I am actually saying for once.

Half of game people is raider half of game is then being surprised of Oh… are you raiding? I found it funny and Mara find in role justifications. But I can understand why others evil players could be pissed as hell.

Then again, Jaime also does have his moments where he’s not telling the full truth. A prime example being the school parking lot in the first part.

While that is true, I see it as different kinds of cynical. Woody, while being pessimistic about the future, tries to make the best of a bad situation and has multiple plans on how to move forward. Madison and Jillian…yeah, they’re definitely the bitchier kind of cynical.

I always saw Brody’s impulsiveness as more forgiving. He’s a teenager who’s mainly into sports and physical activities, it’s not a big surprise that someone like him isn’t used to using his noggin. Reily’s just outright hotheaded, though. Probably has a temper as short as his di-

Nora’s only snappy to Reily, she’s chill with everyone else. Kelly and Parker’s on edge attitude are understandable; they’re not suited for this kind of lifestyle. Not to mention that one’s desperately trying to prove herself and the other is desperately trying to search for as much insulin as he can.

Driver rarely talks. Like, at all. If you save Rosie, does she stick with him and become his close friend? I never really bothered saving her, so I wouldn’t know. That’d actually be pretty cute.

I agree with this. Jaime may be a simple bro, but he is best bro.

They’re basically brother and sister and have my favorite dynamic in the game. Driver is certainly much quieter than Rosie but he can chew your ear off if you ask him.

What are your guys favourite parts of the game?

Personally I love the time/ strategy management and crafting, but most importantly I place the characters/ NPC first and forefront-- I’ve probably skipped thousands of words of descriptive text just to get to the next action/ people interaction scene.

I’d love for part 3 to have much more interactions with NPC’s, however I know 1) Descriptions and stuff always happen regardless (you will always get to the hill/ junkyard), and 2) There’s both tons of NPC’s and tons of variables-- people can be dead, angry, happy, alive, etc.

Although I’m biased since I literally get nothing out of the descriptive text, and am most interested in the characters (and idea of the apocalypse in general)

I’m looking forward to things like Nora getting on tons of people’s nerves (or just on Reilly’s nerves, and cracking wise to everyone), Jamie trying to smooth things over, etc.
