The writer is claiming children are attracted to the opposite sex. First off no child is attracted to anyone until a certain age and saying all children are biologically attracted to the opposite sex is saying being gay is a choice. So yes you are right where it is biological but not everyone is attracted to the opposite sex or even feels attraction at all.
The author didn’t say that. They said the MC specifically was.
Puppy love exist and being straight or gay is decided at birth, ‘Born this way’ is a slogan for a reason.
