I’ve reached the point that “chosen one” and “prophecy” are two things that put me about 7/10th of the way to noping out out a work. If I’m predestined to succeed just let me go spend the entire game in Tahiti drinking mai-tais served by pretty girls in swimsuits and sarongs, it’s not like I can fail, so why would I worry about it? (this is the shortened version of a much longer discussion I’ve had at… the disliked tropes thread, I think)
I’m not big on commenting but I finally got around to playing the WIP and feel the need to express how good it is. It’s definitely a breath of fresh air when compared to most other WIPs and has immediately become one of my favourites (even among already released games), due in no small part to how relatable and small scale it is. It also helps that it’s very well written, grammatically and from a purely artistic point of view.
Hey so I just started this WiP and I find it interesting so far. However shortly after meeting Cyrus, the next page doesn’t load. It just has the “forever loading” (as I call it) icon. Does that mean I reached the end of the Demo? Or is it a bug?
Also, I noticed that Evans’ last name changed from “Moore” to “Wright” when I clicked on his profile name…
On the other hand it seems the supernatural world here might be in need of a good sanitation workers strike, mc may be relatively normal but that does not mean their life should suck. Fortunately sanitation workers strikes are fairly powerful instruments. So if the fantasy world does not have a sanitation worker’s union it seems to be about high time it got one!
Of course that would require mc to talk their fellow workers into forming a union and organizing an effective strike.
That is my only comment really being stuck in crummy job is not much fun but even if you want to stay mostly mundane that doesn’t mean mc has to remain passive and accept their fate and stay below the poverty line.
Well if the interview is anything to go by it pays really well and has great benifits whatever they maybe so perhaps its good enough for all the bad parts to be over looked. In any case im looking forward to seeing what may come from it all.
I mean, one of the bad parts is that they’re more than willing to kill you, so maybe don’t overlook ALL the bad parts. But it probably pays MUCH better than your average cleaning work, yeah, if only, because better-paid workers are less likely to try to expose SPAA.
Hopefully they pay well enough for us to move into a proper apartment!
Sooooooooo, I’m starting to think that I might be the only person who’s ok with the idea of my MC potentially getting killed by this group . I actually found it kind of refreshing that they didn’t just use a gunshot to the head . However, I also understand why everyone else is uncomfortable with it.
Hey you know some people like that stuff, the slice of life genre is a niche that is popular with some people. Mostly girls I’d argue but to each their own. If thats the direction the author wants to go in then I got no problem with it lol
No my comments still stands, no way did I say that I changed my mind. If others want a slice of life boring mundane story then its cool, not for me and most people though. Everyone has a right to create what sort of work that they want to idc.
@9GAG Then why read it if you dont like it or why comment at all why not keep it to yourself? There could have been something you liked reading some where else, yet you come here and throw such negetive comments about a genre you dont like.
I understand this is your opinion, but sometimes you need to understand that your opinion and can or will have bad consequences not just on the writer but the people who are reading what the writer has shown to the rest of us. For all we know you opinion could just hault any or all current development in the works.
How can I not like something I haven’t read? strange question. Also why should I not allowed to give my opinion if its a negative one? Funny how the author takes input the the fanboys harass me for it. Strange
People are free to make their life choices. No one is forcing anyone to do anything, the idea a negative review has dire real world consequences just means you’re delusional, how a negative review on a story can affect you when you’re not even the author is just wild to me xD
Just tried this demo, and I’m surprised by how much I liked it, considering I didn’t think I’d enjoy the whole janitor premise of it. But it’s an interesting twist to being introduced the supernatural world and be given a job. Normally, you because some sort of law-enforcement, or something like that, but here? You just get to clean up the mess supernaturals and there’s cases make. Can’t wait to see more of this, and I love how my MC can be both sarcastic and kind at the same time.
Using your logic I can read the plot summary of any tv show and movie and immediately form a snap judgement on the quality of the work of art and form an educated opinion of it?
I guess you took the classic adage of “don’t judge a book by its cover and said” nah screw it imma do the opposite cuz I’m a real g
