Head straight into it: Era of the Archdemons

This was my first IF and WIP about the archdemons and Lovecraftian gods. Well, it has returned but I deleted the files of the original so I’m rewriting all of it. I still remember the broad strokes so it may feel familiar, nonetheless.

Synopsis:

After lucifer fell from heaven, he conquered hell and made the first demoness Lilith his betroved, creating three children. Archdemons. The essence of both archangel and demon fused into a new species potentially more dangerous than gods.

The first came Asmodeus, the Archdemon of Order & Chaos. Considered the most dangerous archdemon.

Then came Abaddon, the Archdemon of Life & Death. Cunning like her father and sadistic like her mother, she plays with the blueprint of life and the concept of death. Most unpredictable of the three.

Lastly came Astaroth, the Archdemon Sage. He has the wisdom, intelligence and curiosity of gods like Buddha, Athena and Nyarlathotep.

RO is polyamorous by default for Asmodeus. The progeny is traditional.

Plans for the first half of the game (chapters 1-6)

Nyarlathotep (Before)

Nyarlathotep / Mr. Shade (After Chapter 6)

Nyarlathotep, currently known as Mr. Shade, is the only being who is superior to Asmodeus/Ashmedae. He currently exists without a physical form, functioning as a nonphysical god of madness, deceit, and shifting identity.

Nyarlathotep’s power is fundamentally opposed to Asmodeus/Ashmedae’s domain of Order and Chaos. His goal is to regain a body; when he succeeds, the Era of Chaos begins, shattering the balance.

In this universe, Azathoth is dead, its remaining essence consumed entirely by Astaroth, granting him omniscience. With Azathoth gone, only Nyarlathotep remains as successor.

Pretty good for an unfinished prologue. The writing is enjoyable and pace feels good so far for a prologue at least. But not much to go on, but that said the genre, concept and what you have here so far, have definitely captivated my attention. So I’ll be watching how this story fares.

SIDE Note: You might want watch out for whole page encompassing paragraphs. Because they can be a bit jarring. Saw a few typos nothing major, pretty normal demo stuff. Also this line repeats. Plus this scene is the one with all encompassing paragraph. So 2 or 3 spacing out would be good.

Otherwise great work, and looking forward to more demon backgrounds.

Loved the prologue, a bit much to chew. But since it’s a prologue I believe it shall be forgiven. On that note of the prologue loved the unique twist of 4th wall breaking.

Saw some typos, here and there but nothing Super major. Otherwise I’m looking forward to seeing where this goes. Bookmarked and put on watch. Keep up the great work, but be sure not to burn yourself out too.

So an update…

Chapter 2 part 1 will introduce Ariel & entail completing the initial mission alongside Isa & Jin with killing a sea serpent.

Chapter 2 part 2 will essentially be a long fight between Ariel & either Isa or you based on a misunderstanding. (Subject to change)

Chapter 3 will introduce the last companion. A shorter chapter than the rest.

Chapter 4 will be the longest. It’s the “explore” chapter. This is where the romance & character arcs begin.

Chapter 5 & beyond is the main plot. That’s right. You haven’t even gotten to the main story yet. LMAO
