The Cloud Praetor is actually pretty strong without his augment. Arthur can even compliment him on his skills with the spear, but like you say his augment is extremely powerful with a drawback that only someone with firepower like Zeus can really abuse.
The Boss Lady specifically states that Hans has an inferior augment in comparison to Dawn Protector, but that he is her superior thanks to skill and ruthlessness.
You tighten your grip around the shaft of the spear, and then you push with a decent portion of your strength. His eyes widen as his feet leave the group. That is all you get to see of his expressions, then he is off, soaring through the air like a cannonball. Ground rather.
The Dawn Praetor being stronger doesn’t make Hans weak. Arthur’s fight with her shows that she has a lot of potential, but the lack of experience and being pushed to her limit holds her back a lot. Like you mentioned, he beats her in skill and ruthlessness which is all he needs in the majority of his fights because of his augment. It negates most attacks to him unless they are unavoidable (powerful enough to hit his entire body) or are too fast for him to register.
His ability has obvious limits but he’s a praetor for a reason.
I know but I wanted him around a bit longer instead being of just killed off by us or his replacement after one fight with him. I guess I will just have to get over it and move on.
I’m not to disappointed I always got the vibe he wasn’t long for the world.
I consider a false choice since it basically ends the same both choices. So to me it looked like it giving two options was a waste of time. One with the mc killing or the other where killed by a ally.
You’re right about that but I just liked the character. I’m just hoping not all fights will end like that if we don’t want it too. I know I should off those guys but not all of them are bad.
I feel like while it gives you the same end regardless I feel like depending on how he dies does change the story though.
Just dropping by with a small update!
Progress is being made at a quick rate, my work schedule has finally calmed down at bit! I think I will release the Ishtar rework/chapter 2 by the end of this week. I have decided to upload all the paths when they are done. This way, the game will get more consistent updates. Currently, I believe it stands to be the longest of the paths so far.
Some changes are also being made to the other routes. I am adding a couple of ways to kill The Clouded Praetor earlier to make the fight feel more authentic. Now you will also be able to keep The Clouded Praetor alive if you fulfill specific requirements. They shouldn’t be hard to meet, but it will require hearing the deal offer from Haley. The interlude is also getting an extension; Siddhartha is going to get a more glorious end.
I would also like to thank everyone for their feedback. It has been very useful when working on the Ishtar path, and I hope it will show! Other than that, I have nothing major to report. Have a great week, everyone!
Author with all due respect if u put a option to spare or kill someone based on the person u met instead as a choice, it would not feel like we the readers had a choice at all in the story, so please I am not asking to change your mind but to hear a opinion that I believed will prevent loads of discontent, just put the option to spare and not the requirements for it
There is actually no way im missing out on the chance to romance Atilla the Hun
just played this demo and wow! the different paths feel nice and gives a lot of replayability, which is always good to keep the readers hooked to your story lol. i really love lucifer and sun wukong, they def feel more… fleshed out compared to the others, in a sense? and lucy having the combination of manipulation/vampiric ability makes me love this version of him lol.
another thing is, i love seeing the option with janus predicting kaizo’s death. made me restart just to find out the response lol. would love more of those options where the different augments can be utilized in situations that’s unique to them. example would be the MC is trapped somewhere and sun wukong would have this unique option of turning into a mouse and squeeze through tight spaces lol
Thank god I didn’t want to kill cloud and it was forced to happen. I actually liked him and wanted to see more of him later in the story even if caused problems for me being a bodyguard later. Adding the option to kill him faster adds some realism here as well. I can’t wait to see how everyone else handles the fight in the city
Ughhh bruh are u sure u read the author comment fully they are literally gonna force us to kill the cloud practorean unless we did not choose the option of spending time with kaizo and spending time alone and only choosing the option to only spend time with Yoru and if is done like that we miss a chance of chatting with the dawn practorian or spending time with kaizo
I mean it makes sense. You make choices and your choices have consequences, you can’t always have your cake and eat it too.
If I bake the cake you betcha imma gonna eat it
our choices do have consequences, but when there are shown in the right way, how on earth can u force me to save someone by meeting a person that literally ask u to kill, hell if choice do have consequences and there are there, I might be blind, because I do not see it if the author only let us save someone by meeting a person. then why was there even a option to go alone or spend time with kaizo
I think the point of it is, to give some agency to character’s who have chosen to go a certain path. If you choose to go with Yoru you speak to the Amber Praetor before the fight as she asks you to kill the Cloud Praetor. Thus it would give you an option to warn the others that the Amber wants Cloud dead. If you don’t go on the other paths you get some information of the world if you go with Kaizo and if you go alone you get to preemptively meet the Dawn Praetor.
Bruh I have said my piece and there is just no reason to what the author planned, if that how they want the rest of the story to go I wish them good luck
And before I leave this part of the forum for good, the mc warning them make no sense in the slightest, to kill or save some one should be a choice not a freaking requirement, but one that influence how the mc is viewed on his actions, how can a unknown individual suddenly showed up and say they wanted u to kill someone and u just be like ok, I have got to save that guy, oh hell nah what the author should do is make the requirement for saving someone on our humanity or what was the point of even adding it if not for this
