The skill checks are designed as a sort of auxiliary to the story. If you fail a skill check during a fight or negotiation it won’t lock you out from parts of the story in any significant way(except for a few key ones toward the end). They will mostly determine things such as, whether were you scarred or wounded, how much of an impression did you make on the other characters, how did the media react to the fight, and stuff like that. Of course, if you fail a skill check the content of the text will change, but the end result won’t change that much.
For the story question, no you won’t have to fight all eight Praetors. Slight spoilers. There will be a couple of opportunities to parley, The Astral Praetor is going to be a major character
I mean that really only happened because Sun Wukong started to consider destroying the world and was too stubborn to promise Buddha that they would not do it.
It’s between Pele and Sun Wukong, Pele’s weakness is water on fucking Earth while Sun Wukong’s weakness automatically is a concern the second he use his powers.
Just noticed there is something wrong with the Egotistical/Reasonable stats in the stat menu. Egotistical only ever increases since the other choices increase the Reasonable stat instead of decreasing the Egotistical stat if that makes sense.
Like since Egotistical/Reasonable is an opposed stat pair you have to decrease Egotistical instead of adding a Reasonable stat for that bar in the stat menu to decrease.
Great Lucifer prologue. Particularly enjoyed Lucifer’s mind power. However, in the prologue at these points ‘him’ was used where ‘his’ should have been used.
Oh the Lucifer backstory was great! Probably one of my favorites.
Though one minor issue I have is that Jenovah shouldn’t call his prison Hell.
It’s an english world and it feels out of place with all the other hebrew/middle eastern names and terms.
If it was called Gehenna or Sheol I think it would fit better.
Did a little of the fudging of the variables . On vacation now, will upload fix when I return
I actually originally had it as Sheol, but I decided to change it to include a wide range of recognizable terms to try to make Lucifer’s story seem more syncretistic. Will look into changing it to something more fitting if that is the consensus.
