(WIP) Broken Fable [220k Public, Updated 5/7/24]

We should also remember that heat tends to go to where there is less heat and the difference in temperatures matter, so cold places could make Pele lose heat faster… Well, something being colder than Pele isn’t hard either…

Love the w.i.p, something that has been a bit unclear to me since Attila and the rest was introduced is why our character wants to stay alone/whitdrawn.

When I first player it made sense since as far as I knew our character didn’t know any other immortals, and if they knew any like with Ares, we killed them.

I also belive it was said that our character was staying aloof and alone due to the fact that those around them would age and die, leaving them alone? Which made a lot of sense.

As it stands now we know that at a point the mc knew at least four other imortalts. Is there given any reason why our character doesn’t want to stay around them? Or is this perhaps something that will be expanded upon/something we get to choose.

Regardless love the game.

#edit for typos, not used to typing a lot in english on my phone.

There is variations of why for all the fables some is by choice others is story reasons.

Because MC don’t want to be involved and if people learned how strong they are they would want them on their side.

Then the people will try to force us either by calling us weak to not having the guts or physically want us join…which is stupid because Any MC could really destroy all of them. For example, pele MC literally lava a whole city just because of a few assassin’s… that’s already a red flag to anger someone like that

I just think how will people react if Lucifer MC comes forward with his identity. I mean people think he is the godfather of all evil. I mean they might think Lucifer himself is responsible for Timur .

My Lucifer’s reaction to that accusation would be to shrug, say “Oh, you think so? Alright deal with the problem yourself.” Then have a nice mug of tea and laugh.

@Kitty_Gaige Well Timur will come after the mc himself. So I think thats not an option. I was just talking about unlike Zeus (who is not deemed a villain) and other mcs who are heroes of their fables , Lucifer is the only villain mc (according to fables). So I don’t think he coming forward will do the world much good.

Lucifer revealing himself would definitely create problems given the impact it would have on Abrahamic religions.

But it would still bolster hope that there’s someone who can stand up to Timur in term of power.

And it would definitely create less issues than if you don’t reveal yourself and end up discovered / outed because then people are DEFINITELY going to think there’s some Devil Scheming going on.

Overall going public is still by far the best option.

But (at least with Arthur) not the most fun :smiling_imp:.

I’d say saying it would create problems with religions is an understatement.

With the reveal of Lucifer then that would mean god exist, Jesus Christ exist, heaven and hell exist, everything the Christians teach is real and every other religion is false. No it wouldn’t create problems, it would literally create an outrage amongst many religions and many people.

Idk how much prevalent religions is in the Fable world but since this is pretty much modern day society there’s no doubt in mind it would impact the whole world.

It would actually mean the opposite, it would mean it’s all false, especially as they reveal the whole thing with Amaterasu too.

It’s not just Lucifer that would fuck up the entire religion. The implications of Sun Wukong revealing themselves would also imply that Buddha exists as well, and someone mentioned Ishtar when I brought this up months ago but not everyone would care about Ishtar since that’s a dead religion from a dead civilization.

And plus that it would still create an outrage amongst religions. The impact of the reveal is far more than just “create a problem”

It wouldn’t just imply it since we’re literally about to tell them that Timur killed Buddha after Buddha failed to re-seal him like he did when WE fought him 600 years ago.

Also Arthur would have the problem of people taking his existence as proof that Christianity AND all the pagan mythos from England are real so it’s an issue for him too to a lesser extent.

Hell, Zeus is outright the head of HIS pantheon.

I think Pele is niche enough that most religions would be able to incorporate her but she could also upend the world’s religious structures like the others.

Lucifer is definitely creating the most issues if he doesn’t reveal himself and get outed tho. Discovering Lucifer trying to hide himself during such a massive conflict is bound to make people unreasonably paranoid, even worse than if he just reveal himself.

Shit yeah but that is to say SW exist along side the others. With so many religions i think the whole world would blow up lol

Ok yeah let’s not get too deep into this religion discussion. This is getting too complicated, it’s starting to feel like the Fables are eldritch beings rather than legendary figures from stories which i guess they are
