Nah he wouldn’t do stuff like that. It’s true that Jack hates us so much as to threatening to do anything just to get stronger to beat us and humiliate us but he wouldn’t step so low as to get involved in such practices. What Jack needs is recognition and validation of his victory over us. If he did get involved with Demonic Sects, harness some power and managed to win against us, everyone including, his sect, his families and even himself will think “Jack won because he got powers from Demonic Sect so that’s cheating”; “If Jack didn’t take the power he couldn’t win”; …And Jack wouldn’t accept such things since Jack is the one that truly want to win all by himself and put us into our place.

Also Demonic Sect is illegal (iirc) and their practices are forbidden in Rasen Empire. Doing so would not only endanger Jack but also his entire sect and village and allowing us a legal choice to put him down. So out of his clear mind he wouldn’t do something as stupid and irrational as collaborating with Demonic Sects, at best he would just leave them alone or do nothing when they wanted to messed with us. (like how Crow Li tried summoning a Demonic Gate back in ch4 and using it to destroy us, Jack did nothing to stop him. In fact he even slowed us down - damn you Jack - and kinda just stood outside and watched)

I dunno Végéta did go Majin just get that win over Goku if the mc continually improved at the rapid as shown it could be a plausible plot point an obvious one mind you which why I don’t see happening either

But in the end vegeta did try to overcome goku by not using any underhanded means and want to win goku by himself. Like I said it before, it’s not victory that Jack needs but recognition of his victory, of the truth that Jack defeats us and Jack is the superior one.

Wait? Three times? I thought I can only buy one.

So Crusher Jack is like Vegeta?

That’s what cultivator-anon thought, too.

If Vegeta doesn’t try to ruin our family and friends, always dehumanized others (espcially Kosuke) and always be an asshole, then yeah.

In the event of something like this I’d prefer for them to choose if they’re unwilling then no deal, not gonna sell my siblings for abusive and unhappy marriage.

There is always another way to get power without doing something like that, now you mentioned crusader king, it doesn’t matter in crusader king because I am always end up as the emperor it will always be on my term not on their term.

Having problem with “genes” Or “bloodline” Assembled some troops and go raid for wife or husband, Jurchen/viking style.

On another note the problem with crusader king is it’s often goes Alabama problem especially for big dynasty, like uncle screwing his niece or worse.

Well what’s the reward if I do sell my siblings.

With all three memorywell elixirs, i could simply drink them all. I would gain more elements than most masters. I call that…a boon.

There’s a big difference though.

Vegeta never cared about what anyone thought of him. The only thing that mattered was self-validation. If he could justify something to himself, he could (reluctantly) go through means even he wasn’t entirely fond of. In this analogy, Vegeta wouldn’t care that other people would shun him for going toward a demonic sect, the only thing that could stop him would be his own pride, and whether or not he’d think such means are dishonorable.

On the other hand, Jack definitely seems to care about what others think of him, and seems to have a constant need to save face. So beating us in a way that would make him a pariah would basically be a failure even worse than his initial defeat. Depending on his internal morals, he might try to go for demonic sects if he thinks he could keep it a secret, but it involves flashy techniques and whatnot, then it’s a non-starter - not without a change in internal motivations, at least.

Vegeta would probably do worse than all of that really.

Just wanted to say as a wuxia/cultivation enjoyer this game really is top tier.

Unfortunately I did find another bug(?) regarding the memorywell elixir. Having Light as my only element, when you spend chi to steal it and choose to not drink immediately, you can go back and choose it over and over again. Also noticed my chi points don’t actually decrease when I spend it in that choice. So far I have 7 and the option still isn’t grayed out.

I have learnt my lesson of never taking people by they personality and what they show me, it is still suprising no matter what angle I look at it even if all angles are sexy, Lenora bangle pulling the strings indirectly at that Ebikowa incident all just to get Crow Li what kind of Dio brando shit is this

I think it was answered before but is there going to be any race-specific moves or power ups? A monkey Yokai going full Oozaru would be fun.

Also small suggestion: Maybe a small bonus or extra line if you’re a monkey Yokai and pick a staff as your weapon? Similar to how you can get a bonus if you’re from a blacksmith family and pick the Sword bloodline?

There are 3 possibilities:

Leona is indeed the culprit and the true manipulator and she’s just faking it from the start that she’s a psycho

There might be someone else pulling strings and used Leona as a pawn for their plans. Consider how she’s not favored among the Sunbringers disciples, I think this might be the case. Either internal and external forces are involved or both.

Last is Leona is a psycho but a manipulative one and is crazy but smart at the same time. Also she could be a yandere that wants us all for herself. (crazy theory but I know, everything is possible at this point. And this is Leona we’re talking about. No one knows exactly how insane she could be.)
